Such a lovely Italian place. Very cozy and they serve some amazing food like salad with mushrooms and their special risotto! Delicious!
Great food and wine. Great host. Wonderful service.
Will come back.
We enjoyed a gracious welcome, warm and outstanding service, and delicious food.
Nice welcome and interesting decor with great movie & music posters.
3 of our party had Mushroom Rissoto, small & very little flavour and no seasoning whatsoever.
I had spaghetti with clams in a spicy sauce, this was quite simply the tiniest bowl of pasta I have ever had. Minuscule doesn’t come close. The few clams were tasty, but again the sauce like the Risotto was without flavour & certainly no where near spicy. We had three bottles of still water, one bottle of Prosecco & four tiny main courses that cost £160.00
A real rip off. Definitely wouldn’t return & certainly wouldn’t recommend. We’re back in London tomorrow & WILL BE DINING ESLWHERE !!!
The risotto served in a Parmesan bowl is amazing. Ingredients are fresh and dishes interesting and reliably delicious. Excellent food, personal friendly service, lovely wine...always a wonderful dinner with great food and wine. A very nice night out with friends visiting from out of town. I love to dine here in the evening and visit the cafe in the daytime. Locanda Ottoemezzo always delivers a high quality Italian experience. A local neighbourhood hidden gem!
Excellent food, and wonderful quiet ambience. Ideal setting for meeting with Europeans wanting a restful evening with a brilliant menu.
Best Italian in London. Great food and atmosphere.
Excellent food, neighborhood gem. The risotto served in a Parmesan rind is so unique. Staff are friendly. We love coming to Locanda Ottoemezzo’s cafe for a casual breakfast or lunch, or the restaurant for a delicious dinner. Would highly recommend for great Italian food!
The best Italian restaurant, hands down, in London! Start to finish. Try everything.
A limited menu but it makes up for it in taste. Small intimate restaurant and very good service.
Quirky but fabulous food and attentive empathetic staff
Plates cold , food cold. Food mediocre and seriously over priced. The bad bad experiences looked more fundamental than just an off night. Can’t understand the 5 star ratings in open table.
Great place recommend the truffle pasta highly
Cozy place, high quality food, a true pasta experience. Friendly people, you will enjoy it
We will be back for sure...warm greeting from the host, cheerful timely service from all of the staff, great ambience with soft lighting and quality background music, great tastes in the starters, superb pasta special, creative and perfectly finished scallop main, dessert board including an outstanding version of a tiramisu. A fine aperol spritzer and well crafted negroni, followed by a great selection of Italian wines tops it all off.
Consistently delicious restaurant in a quiet corner of Kensington. Authentic Italian food and atmosphere with good attention to detail.
very personal traditional service..very good window seat on ground level. My food (pasta and fish) was good value, wine a shade on the high side but what you would expect for location.
Nice food very nic
Had a wonderful meal at this little gem of a restaurant. Excellent food and very friendly staff. . The owners are very welcoming. Will definitely be visiting again.
We go every year and love it!
Just love it - discovered a few months ago and the most enjoyable and welcoming place to eat in the area
Interesting ambience, excellent food, good wine list and reasonably priced. Owners are delightful and engaged.
Somewhat disappointing but the food was good. Quite a funky decor and if you get "stuck" downstairs which you'll most likely be, it'll feel somewhat claustrophobic since it's low ceilings and small seating. The service was the main issue, it just was strange. Perhaps it was on an off night but we felt like it was rushed and the waitress kept making mistake, even breaking glasses at the table which shattered everywhere. Luckily no one was hurt but I think the restaurant should've at least sent dessert or an after dinner drink or at least offer coffee on the house for such a mistake. On the positive side, no one chewed on any broken glass!
This was a small place in Kensington near our Airbnb during a visit to London. We passed it many times and decided to give it a try for dinner. While we weren’t expecting a set menu, it exceeded all of our expectations. Every dish and service from start to finish was incredible. Would highly recommend for anyone in the area.
This is my favourite Italian restaurant in London. It never disappoints.
Ask for their dessert menu. Very well made. Very good food and atmosphere. Server was there whenever we needed.
We had dinner with my parents after a few months apart. The food was quite good and so was the ambience. Staff was friendly, quick and knowledgable. Price/performance was good.
Superb. Best Italian in London
A lovely meal, with great service. Ottomezzo is a reliable neighbor gem.
The veal chop was outstanding. Nice quiet off the beaten path restaurant. One of the best meals I had on my trip to London.
Proper Italian food and warm hospitality from the owner Emidio.
It was my father’s birthday and you made the experience wonderful!
cappachio of beef was the finest we have tasted.great Italian wine list
Lovely dinner out - great service and the food was delicious
We celebrated our friend’s birthday, and the whole experience was terrific! It is a gem of a place, and the owners are kind and make us feel like family every time we are there. I highly recommend it.
This is our 2nd time to Locando Ottomezzo and it is the best neighbour restaurant you could ask for. Great food, attentive service and a nice atmosphere.
It was good food and good wine. The wine recommendation was impressive as it was not expensive but very good. My lamb was excellent.
Rustic setting, film-themed decor, delicious food, charming service. Birthday candle accompanied by happy birthday played on vintage vinyl.
Locanda Otto Emezzo: 1st time there
I've been in many places in London comparable to this, just to name some: Macellaio south Kensington, Fenchurch sky garden, Barbecue St Paul's, Luna Rossa Notting Hill, Duck and Waffle Liverpool Street and so on.. all of them had something good enough to make me feel I'd like to go back there again or I wanted to suggest it to someone with the knowledge he won't be disappointed.
But this one had only the service, impeccable for a nice little every day un formal restaurant, location and venue. All of them dressed very well, nicely done as most of people would say, but other than that not much..
I had 2 courses, 1 "pasta/primo" dish of homemade pasta with shrimps and 1 "main/secondo" halibut with butter squash. None of them impressed me, and I am trying to be kind.
The halibut was simply wrong, the chef managed to ruin a tasty decent piece of fish, paring it with can chickpeas. Very disappointing.
My girlfriend had a meal based on meat dishes, she said they were good.
On the upside, the desserts were very tasty and properly made, they met my expectations there.
Obviously again well dressed, but that is part of the show, at least there was some substance.
We ended up paying £125 roughly, which isn't an unreasonable bill if you eat good food.
Overlall on a scale from 1 to 10, I'd say 6, a lot of potential, but still a lot to improve.
I understand we are in London and appearance is the first step to success, but then there is the second step and a third and so on.
Probably you can get a date with some make up on, but if it goes forward you better be preatty otherwise someone will regret the experience the next morning.

A very nice and cosy restaurant, where service is special and bespoke is Marianne in Notting Hill, little bit more pricy, but 100 times better under any aspect.
