Great service, delicious oysters, beautiful patio by the water. Nice and distanced and open air, and great for date night
Great food and beautiful setting outside.
Enjoyed dinner very much
Overall great experience. Food was a little slow getting to the table.
Some of the worst service. We ordered 2 drinks, charcuterie board, salad and crab cake sandwich. They messed up half the order then took 30 minutes to bring a new drink / salad out....
Food was delicious-pricey-hostess could be friendlier-heat lamps would be great for outside
Our server was as amazing as the food! Crab cakes, oysters, cocktails
Way too crowded. No social distancing at all!!!! I guess they don't care about anyone's health.
First time at dinner. Took my parents for moms 70th. AJ was great confirming reservations for outside due to COVID. Our server was outstanding and fun and the food was amazing. My mom was very happy ❤️
Our waiter and the service staff were terrific. What a great experience!
This was my 2nd time. It's an all around good place for food and drinks. Will definitely go in again.
Delicious lobster roll (the real kind - drawn butter; none of that mayonnaise stuff!!), gorgeous view of the harbor, fresh vegetables, crab dip was amazing as well.
Our waiter James was awesome. Very attentive to our needs and knowledgeable about the menu. He made dining at Loch Bar very enjoyable. We will be back!
Say outside The food was great and the drinks as well
Great atmosphere, food, and service. We would definitely dine again.
Excellent location if sitting in promenade area! Always great food, but plan to spend some money..
Taylor was a wonderful Server! Our food and drinks were wonderful; its a shame the weather didn't cooperate, it was chilly and windy but there's nothing anyone could have done to correct that part of our dinner. We're looking forward to our next visit.
The service was absolutely fantastic & they sat us quickly even though it was a busy Saturday night. Also brought us two glasses of sparkling wine for us because it was our anniversary. The food was also fantastic! Will definitely be back!
Loved this place!! Great service and amazing food!!!
Not a good experience overall. The good-- oysters were great and the server was very good and did his best to keep us happy despite the major problems with the restaurant. However, there must have been a problem in the kitchen. Took 50 mins for soup and a salad to come out (aren't these pre-made?) Then the entrees another 50-60 mins after the soup. Server kept apologizing and gave us a free drink but there was little he could do. They started playing very loud live music at 9 pm and we couldn't hear each other speak. It's a restaurant not a club. They insisted on moving us outside but wouldn't make the volume more reasonable so we could stay at our inside table. Sea Bass was good but the lobster roll was stringy and tough and the french fries with the lobster roll were cold and stale (? sitting under the heat lamp for those 60 mins we were waiting). Expensive and overall a bad value. We wouldn't return and can't recommend Loch Bar.
I ordered the Maine lobster and the waitress acted as if I couldn’t afford it when she told me how much it was.
To her surprise and I not only could afford the Maine lobster but a few other items on the menu and I left her a generous tip. My advice to the management is train your servers to have more tact and decorum. This is 2020, Black people have been able to afford nice things for decades.
Mike our server had too many tables but he was still working hard and trying. The Mac and cheese lobster was amazing as well as the club sandwich. The salmon was okay
Loch Bar should be a dining destination for those who enjoy fish, seafood, and cocktails in an upscale, harbor-side location. First, get seafood. Oysters from east to west, beautiful shrimp, clams, and chilled lobster should be your appetizers. Have a glass of sparkling wine...you deserve it! I had a wonderful creation called the Chesapeake Club sandwich. Perfectly assembled shrimp salad, a crab cake, and a fried oyster on white toast dressed. Pair this with a well-thought cocktail, wine, and beer program and you're set for a super meal!
The Food was great !! And it’s really a great atmosphere. I forgot I was in Baltimore for a minute.
Excellent evening at Loch Bar. Attentive staff & prompt service. We will be back!
Taylor, our server was very polite and energetic. She made a visit very special.
Great customer service
I felt unsafe as my waitress did not have on gloves and tables were too close together. Lack of social distancing
Food was terrible and drink had no alcohol in it. Service was good but we left.
Lovely sitting outside. The lobster roll was terrific with warm lobster and drawn butter on a delicious roll.
Michael is the best
First time. Great experience. Will definitely go again next trip to Baltimore
The food was enjoyable and ambiance at Loch Bar was wonderful alongside the great views of the harbor. However, the service provided surely left something to be desired, and the lack of cleanliness and standard safety practices surrounding COVID19 were inadequate to myself and my husbands liking. Definitely a lot of cross contamination around the restaurant with bussers using the same gloves everywhere, watering several tables at a time, touching all the guests glasses with same gloves, and also witnessed several times the straw in a used glass touching the mouth to the pitcher. Very off putting. We had a later reservation and the restaurant was not even full at half capacity. We had a reservation at 8:30, arrived at 8:24 to check in, were seated right away. We didn't see our server until 8:50 for a drink order. We're patient people so we let it slide initially and quickly realized this was the case for the evening. Server was very inattentive to the table, slow service, either forgetful of putting the drink orders in or picking up the drinks from the bar, not sure what the issue was, but for simple drinks we were waiting well over 20+ minutes between ordering and receiving. Food would come out and she would not check on us at all to see if we needed anything until it was more than half finished. She kept making a point of saying she hadn't forgot about us, and that the bar was busy, but we could clearly see this wasn't the case. She sent all our appetizers out at once (blamed kitchen) and never offered us dessert at the end. The restaurant is beautifully designed and food was very good, however the service provided made us feel that it lost it's overall value. I want to mention we had a good size bill, we were in town for one night of seafood and cocktails and intended on splurging (husband bought $50 whiskey). The bill was $300+ for two people. I'd recommend it for a great selection of oysters, if you can tolerate waiting at the table for some sort of service.
Oysters- Amazing! This was the only thing we actually came for.
I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass which was beautifully presented and it tasted good but I do not think the price was worth it. They might be compensating because of COVID-19. Overall, the service was great until we did not see or hear from our server for about 30 minutes and we would have liked to order another round of drinks. Had to ask another server for our check and went went elsewhere for drinks. We’ve been there many times and this is about the second time this year service was not up to par. Must have been off days.
Fantastic food and service with a great view of the harbor.
Pretty waterfront setting. Requested a table in the shade; got a table in the sun. Requested an appetizer; it was forgotten. We go here a lot but it doesn't seems as good as it used to be.
Very disappointed in the service.
The reception of very special for my anniversary. I ordered flowers for my fiance ahead of time, they had it ready on our table before we got there. They gave us free dessert and glass of champagne each, and we did have to pay for our food. Courtesy of the restaurant for our special night.
My favorite restaurant for sure. I’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you for being open during these trying times!
