   We searched for a restaurant near us while traveling. We chose LouVino based on location. We were so happy with our choice. The restaurant had a great vibe. The service, cocktails, and food were amazing.

   I don’t know ,I really didn’t like it . We didn’t get asked how everything was tasting after our entree came out . We only received one refill and that was after our entres came out . Maybe they had too many people in one section for one server ?

   Group of friends gather 1x per month…different spots around town and suburbs. This was St. Patrick’s Day and service was prompt, food was hot and atmosphere had some fun energy.

   We had a reservation and were seated on time. Then we waited for slightly over twenty minutes to have our drink order taken. The manager came by and provided an order of artichokes for our wait. The food, once ordered, was delicious. It was really just the initial wait that tarnished a really nice evening.

    First, we had a great time but we’re told we will only have the table from 11am-12:15. That was fine but a very short time for brunch. We ordered a pitcher of mimosas at 11:20 and did not get to to the table until 11:50. We felt like we had to chug it and didn’t have time to finish it all. Our server was so sweet and food was amazing, just wish we weren’t in a time crunch and could have enjoyed our time more…

    My husband and I went for their Valentine’s Day dinner, which was a pre-fixed menu. The food was excellent, down to each course. What I was disappointed with was that they did not provide any type of wine pairing recommendations with the menu, or have a flight to purchase that would pair, either. For being a wine bar, I expected more in that regard. The waiter tried to be helpful but since it was busy, he really didn’t have time to make recommendations for 4 courses. I also feel like for the price we paid, a glass of bubbly to start should have been included. Lastly, the ambiance there is wonderful but again, this was Valentine’s Day and they didn’t do anything special like flowers on the table or even a tea light candle or something. They sold it as an experience and it just didn’t feel like an experience.

    I had the wagyu sliders and my date had the filet. They cut the filet in 3 or 4 pieces and drenched in sauce. I don’t think my sliders were wagyu. Tasted like regular beef. Took an hour to get food after ordering. Our server was great tho. She made the experience. Don’t think we’ll have interest in returning.

    Will absolutely be coming back! The ambiance was simple yet chic and good vibes all around. I definitely recommend getting the plate of cheese with your wine flights and the fried chicken tacos. Perfect place for a dinner date with friends or your lover!

    Small plates allow you to try many items. The drink selection and wine flight suggestions are great! We had a wonderful dinner before going to Old national center for a show.

    I went here for brunch with my boyfriend. We had blood orange and cranberry mimosas which were great! We got the loaded tots (pictured) as our appetizer and they were amazing. I’d come back just for those! We both also got the fried chicken tacos, those were just ok to me. Service was phenomenal!

    The bad part was that we were sitting underneath the mesh staircase and a server going up the stairs dropped a glass of liquid and it rained down on us and another couple on the other side. Stuff happens and I’m sure it was a total accident but all they did was move our table and give us some coupons for a free appetizer for the next time we come in….. that doesn’t even cover the dry cleaning bill on my shirt…. So that was disappointing… could have gotten a free drink and/ free appetizer right then. I don’t make scenes in public …. But since you are asking….

    Mimosa was good I had it with Cranberry juice and the appetizers were also good we got the country doughnuts and loaded potato tots. For my entree I expected something more food than what I got I didn't feel satisfied. I am nursing so I need to eat a lot 😅 I had the farmers market scramble.

    Our server was great. We had younger kids who really wanted chicken tenders and fries and they made it happen! The gnocchi dish was so yummy. Smaller portions but delicious!

    Unfortunately, they've been out of the Cauliflower Green Curry the last two times we've gone. Service is good, food is well balanced flavor wise. A little pricy to add salmon to a dish - basically doubles the price most entree prices.

    Unfortunately it was a disappointing experience. They were unprepared and understaffed for the New Year’s Eve event. The 1st course and dessert were delivered to the table and said to be shared, but the menu and website made no mention. We received our third course entrees 2 hours after being seated. We made a note on our reservation about a food allergy, which was not recognized and there were no alternatives for the 1st nor dessert courses. Not worth the price or the time, unfortunately, and will not be back.

    Celebrated New Year's Eve at LouVino. Their prix fixe menu with wine pairings was delicious especially the beef tenderloin. It was our first visit and we will definitely e back.

    We’ve experienced the special menu previously on Valentine’s Day and was so impressed that we brought friends for the special Chef menu again on New Years Eve. I have to say we were quite disappointed this time. The scallops were chewy and didn’t melt in your mouth like last time but the cheesy grits were very yummy. The beef tenderloin was cooked great and had a great flavor but the Brussels sprouts were undercooked in our opinion. Overall, the entire food experience was OK however, the service was terrible! It was obvious they were short staffed so our tip was generous, not holding our waitress 100% responsible. But we had 7:15 reservations and were seated at 7:15. No one came to our table to even get our drink order or refill our water glasses for over 30 minutes. We waited between 20-30 minutes between courses. If it was unexpected crowds, I’d understand. In this case, reservations were required so they knew ahead of time the staff they needed. No excuses! Probably won’t come back and try for awhile. Too bad because it was awesome during Valentine’s Day!!!

    We made a reservation for New Year’s Eve and we’re looking forward to the pre fixed menu however, I believe the restaurant were not prepared for the number of people to be dining that evening. The service was absolutely awful, the server barely spoke to us, no explanations of the menu, we had one drink and sat with empty glasses the rest of the night! Thank God for the man refilling the water glasses, he was the real MVP and the only reason I gave more than 1 star on any part of the review! The food FINALLY came out after over an hour and a half of waiting! The soup was cold, my steak was RAW (I eat it medium well) and the desert was small and to be shared between us. I visited the ladies room and EVERYONE in there was talking about the horrible service and food that they were experiencing! My advice is, if you can’t sustain that level of service - don’t take that many reservations!! Highly disappointed, this was my first visit and we won’t be back.
