   I was disappointed with the lamb. Our server said the kitchen likes to cook it medium which is what I would have asked for, it was rare, almost blue. No compensation for it.

   Food and service was awesome. I believe loud music is not necessary and it is irrelevant to this luxury spot. The light was also too dim. But this is overall a very satisfying spot. My new favorite.

   We dined here for the first time on a Saturday night at 8pm. The space is very nice with beautiful views of the city at night. Much more seating than I had expected. The service was a little slow but cocktails were delicious. We had the steak tartare for an appetizer which was very tasty, although would have preferred a greater tartare to toast ratio. My partner had the prime rib and potato purée which he really enjoyed. I had the lamb, which unfortunately was very disappointing. The lamb itself was very tough and fatty, challenging to cut and even harder to chew. I noticed others dining on this meal near our table having the same issue. I didn’t even eat half of it sadly. The vegetable accompaniment (squash, sunchoke) was far too acidic. We shared the baked Alaska for dessert which was tasty and quite large, definitely too much for one person. Despite the disappointing main, I do plan to return to try the lunch menu.

   Exceeded my expectations. Food was great, but the customer service was where it’s at! Our server made amazing recommendations and chose our cocktails- which was the right move. Fantastic interior decor and ambiance.

   Our server Phil was fantastic. He made the experience very enjoyable. The potato doughnuts seemed a little bland. I also felt the afternoon menu didn’t have a lot of variety.. it seemed like a lot of seafood protein and not much else. Otherwise it was good

    Another magical evening spent at Major Tom. My hubby literally says “you are a MT advocate” lol and heck yeah I am! The food, drinks, and service was absolutely incredible yesterday! Can’t wait to come back again!

    I have been here several times over the last year, and every single time we cannot seem to get a table at the window regardless of whether it’s a birthday, anniversary or anything. Put in special request several times over the last week and still stuck at a table for 2 Dead Centre in the room.

    Requested a view of the tower to surprise my sisters, did not disappoint. The chefs did a fantastic job pairing the flavouring- had the potato doughnuts, citrus salad, spaghetti, and the chocolate bombe. Our server, Jessamyn, was amazing with a sincere and attentive presence as well as the other supporting staff that explained each item. Personally enjoyed the Venus Envy drink, as a gin drinker I wouldn’t have thought to pair it with lavender and pear, well balanced and presented. Was my second time and will come back to try more of their original drinks and dishes!

    Heard lots of good things about MT, and was told it is quite hard to get a reservation with short notice. My parents had planned a trip to visit Calgary from Switzerland so I made the reso about a month in advance. Despite the forward planning we were sat at the very first table closest to the door. We didn't even get to see the restaurant. Had a side view of the bar and 80% of our experience was watching people walk in and out. The table they gave us would be a typical table that is kept for walk-ins. I asked the hostess if there was another table available, perhaps closer to the main dining area on the other side of the restaurant. She said she had no access to the floor plan. Strange that a host didn't have that kind of access. Aside from the lousy table, the service was adequate and the food was great. I would go back, just with lower expectations in terms of seating arrangements.

    Unique elevation experience! Great cocktails and pricy wine. Parking nearby was a challenge due to extensive downtown construction. Leave yourself lots of time to park and walk to 700.

    Food was interesting and delicious. We had most of the plates and beet salad twice. The local and other Canadian craft brewery beer offered said a lot to supporting local. Our server was knowledgeable of the menu and suggestions and friendly. We were there to celebrate a milestone. Not disappointed!

    I did ask for a window seat in my reservation as it was an anniversary but I didn’t get it and it seemed like they ignored that request (there seemed to be open window seats upon arrival). Waiters were very busy but polite. Food was fantastic. Would come again for the food, I will try and be more adamant on the better window seat. Cheers

    The starters (oysters and cheese toast) were amazing and our mains were good, specifically the pickerel was delicious! The baked Alaska was outstanding and the grasshopper tastes just like a mint girl guide cookie! The cocktails were great as well!

    The best restaurant experience I’ve had hands down. Our server, Barry, absolutely made our night, he had a great sense of humour and gave excellent service overall. The food and drinks were great as well, the caesar with the pork belly blew me away and the caramel apple cake was sooo good. So special for our 1 year together. We Will absolutely be back fosho

    Went to see what all the hype was about and was greatly disappointed. Booked two months in advance for birthday and was placed in lounge and had four different waiters serve us. Were told the cocktails were excellent, my dry gin martini was but wife's dry vodka martini was very wet. Had the potato doughnuts (small but good) and the cauliflower salad (also good) wife had the rigatoni (came out cold and salty) and I had the flat iron steak (ok), it just became laughable and didn't want to complain any further, just won't return as many other pricey restaurants around that deliver. Too bad as the restaurant with view is beautiful.

    The venue has its charm, the views are great! However what view you get depends on where you sit, and from what I can remember, there was no choice of seating at the time of booking. Upon arrival the ambience is nice, the decor and setting all good. The service was great with our waiter doing a great job. What let us down a little was the food. Don't get me wrong, the appetisers were great tasting, especially the potato doughnuts. The main issue I had with the food wasn't actually the taste, although I would like to mention one point regarding taste following the main reason. So, for me it was the temperature of the food. I cant think of any other reason besides that it was served late. By the time we were served, the meat was just warm when it should have been hot freshly taken off the grill. Now regarding the taste, I ordered the burger and was disappointed. It lacked flavour. There was nothing special to its ingredients, was very basic and in all honesty I have made much better tasting ones at home! The meat main tasted good but again the temperature let it down. What was further disappointing was the dessert menu. I ended up going elsewhere for dessert. The drinks menu was also a let down as we expected a little more choice of offerings in the mocktails section. Was it a good experience overall, I'd say yes, will I be visiting again, I don't think so. But don't let this put you off, every experience is unique so I'd say give it a try, perhaps yours may be better than mine. Enjoy.
