Excellent food and service!
Great food! Considering it was Mother’s Day the service was very quick
Wonderful Mother's Day spent there - the brunch is fantastic!
I had been here two times before and had a great experience. I was so disappointed. We ordered cappuccinos. And they were so bad and not at all cappuccinos but only coffee with milk. Then my brunch scramble was so bad. I had it before and loved it. This time it was watery and the potatoes were cold. Hoping this was just a one off bad experience.
First time for brunch! Nice menu with lots of options!
Great place and location; great food and awesome services. Loved it!
Food was OK for brunch. Asked server to hold our order so we could enjoy the monkey bread. Long wait, then everything came out at once.
Would be nice to have more “mock tails.” Only two were on the menu, three if you count peach tea. Realize it’s a pub, but would be nice and more welcoming if they offered more nonalcoholic treats.
Good was great, I had been before and the service was definitely lacking this time, maybe because it was a bit more crowded than previously but I’ll definitely ALWAYS come back. My server came by maybe 3-4 times and I had been there over 2 hrs. But the manager came over and had great customer service explaining that monkey bread would take a while but I wasn’t in a rush so it was all fine.
Great brunch! Monkey bread was amazing and servings were generous. The potatoes need to be smaller and crispier and the scramble was fine but not exciting. Bacon excellent and eggs benedict yummy. Looking forward to going back!
Service and ambiance was excellent
The service and the food was incredible as always!
First visit, drinks and food were fabulois!
Manager was not very accommodating. But everything else was good.
My husband & I had THE BEST first experience on this past Friday 04/30.
We came for brunch and our waiter was soo attentive, friendly, & very helpful. He made sure we were taken care of the ENTIRE time.
We can’t remember his name but he was tall, African American, & worked in the far corner of the restaurant closest to the servers station.
(We asked him if he knew any hookah lounge spots in the area & he volunteered to ask around for us)
Please keep him!! He’s great!!
This is my favorite restaurant in NOVA!
First time trying Makers Union; chose outdoor dining. Food was great, service good, too. (Food arrived promptly, although they seemed a little short on wait staff.) I got oysters on the half shell and a lobster roll, which were both really tasty to me even though we're in VA and not Cape Cod. The brussels sprouts appetizer was really great, too.
The brunch is delicious and great serving!
Loved the brunch at Makers Union! We ordered a la carte but we'll be back to try their bottomless brunch for just $30/pp. So good. Bottomless mimosas are $17 + $0.25/refill!
Food was outstanding and plentiful. Service was terrific from wait staff to management. Welcoming atmosphere! Can’t wait to go back!
Excellent food and drinks all around. We had everything at our table from the calamari to lobster mac and cheese, a burger, salmon and French dip sandwich and each meal was great. Highly recommend giving Makers Union a try. We can't wait to go back!
I love going to Makers Union, great food, great drinks and great service and they’re so kind to doggies!
Food below average expensive for quality
First time here and it was incredible! Server was great and so was the manager. Food was sooooo good! The atmosphere of this place is pretty awesome too. Definitely will be back. Came in for brunch.
So just for base level details - this place has some delicious food, delicious drinks, and great service. We had a brunch reservation that was seamless from start to finish, plus we were able to have our dog hang out with us on their patio. Highly recommend the bottomless food option for brunch, especially if you’re with a group.
Now, here’s the real deal...if Connie, one of the owners, is there...you better be hungry. Homegirl was sending extra food to our table, giving our dog a pup-friendly brunch meal, and overall guaranteeing we were having a good time. Her personality is infectious and she has such a huge passion for her restaurant. Honestly, I kind of want her to adopt me.
Finding places in NoVa with a solid menu/close-knit team double whammy is rare. I will absolutely be back here and I can’t wait to see what else Makers Union has in store!
Great food, excellent service.
Wife’s Birthday brunch
Alana, our server was wonderful! Excellent food!
Connie and Alex are so friendly and welcoming. The bar staff is also wonderful. We will definitely be back soon!
The food was great! They feature local Virginia distilleries, breweries, and farms. Our server David was amazing, knowledgeable, polite, attentive, and great with recommendations. The place and staff were clean and actively cleaning the entire time - felt very safe and comfortable there. We’ll definitely visit again soon.
All good - great service. Celebrated my friends party there. Awesome time.
It’s always excellent!
We had a great brunch experience at Makers Union. The food and drinks were all excellent as was the service. Ambiance on the patio was perfect. Will most definitely return!
My wife and I had dinner at 7pm on a Saturday, our first time at the restaurant. We dined outdoors, which was pleasant enough even with cars stopped constantly despite no parking on that side of the street. (There was also an obnoxious drunk woman talking way too loud at the next table, but that's always a risk when dining out.) The signature cocktails were nothing to write home about. The calamari was excellent but covered in an aioli I didn't care for. The server brought some more with a marinara sauce. My wife's crabcakes were good. My hangar steak, ordered medium rare, was way overdone.
Great spot for food and drinks. Service is always good.
Sam at the bar was great. She was perfectly attentive and friendly. Your hostess Joanna was very nice too.
Great food, great beer, great staff.
What more do you need?
We had to ask another waiter for food and drinks and were told he would get our waitress. When she finally came to our table, she told us it was last call for the kitchen. Our reservation was at 8:15. We dine here often and although the food and drinks have always been great, tonight’s service was terrible.
My server Olivia was fantastic! She was knowledgeable, extremely courteous, responsive and witty. She is a gem.
Sat outside and had a great evening. Our server was awesome!! (Alex)!
We had a great brunch here over the weekend! All of our food was so good, and we loved the bottomless mimosas! Everyone we encountered who worked there was so friendly!
