Food was great and live music was a plus!!
There was a restaurant week special - 3 course for $40. It was a great deal (took enough home for another meal) and delicious meal! The only complaint was the temperature in the restaurant. Our entire party felt the restaurant was extremely warm, a bit uncomfortable at times. Perhaps we were close to a vent.
Service was great. Wish it hadn't been so loud as it was hard to have a conversation. Food was delicious. I would definitely return!
Excellent food! Best monkey bread I’ve ever had! Wonderful environment and fantastic service. Our server was so friendly and helpful. I was so excited to learn that they have live music every Friday. I will definitely recommend this restaurant and I will keep going back!
The food was simply Okay! The service was meh would not return.
Overall just very average. The cocktails were very good. While the selections for dinner looked good on paper, they fell below my expectations. The rockfish was just ok, small portion sizes for entrees and sides. The tuna poke bowl was bland. Not sure I would give the restaurant another try.
Very relaxing environment staff was friendly also met the gm will be returning very easy check in with reservations:)
Went there with my hubby and our son and we had a wonderful time. The food was delicious, and our waiter was awesome. Everyone seems to be having a good time. Definitely will return.
I loved how far apart the tables were given the pandemic. The food was fantastic and the service was excellent.
Good food, quiet, good service
It was nice and clean. The server was polite and helpful. Had a wonderful dining experience!
Really good food & Sandra, our waitress, was fantastic!
I enjoy the experience here BUT there is a major flaw -- DO NOT SIT AT THE HIGHTOPS!!! Worse barstools EVER. 100% uncomfortable with small wooden slippery seat, small size cuts into legs because very difficult to reach rungs to rest your feet/legs so must dangle. You will see people (men & women) choosing to STAND next to the stool rather than sit. Was so uncomfortable we had decided to leave before getting a second drink but fortunatly 2 seats opened up at the bar and we grabbed those and stayed! Next time will go somewhere else if hightops with those barstools is only option. Who knew seating could do this?!?!?!
So the drinks are really good. My friend had their specialty Mule and it was very refreshing. I had Old Fashioned which was perfect with VA Bowman Brothers bourbon and a dash of maple syrup.
Food is delicious = we had the calamari and then the mac-n-cheese. Mac-n-cheese was excellent with really good pasta curly noodes and great blend of cheeses and a hint of jalapeno. Will definately have those again. Want to come back and try the lamb lollipops next time.
Amazing food and service! Will definitely be back and try the wings!
We had brunch with small children. It was excellent. A little noisy but otherwise, the food and service was exceptional. Highly recommend the family style!
Expensive for brunch. There was rubber band pieces in my friends food and the manager didn’t seem to care. Was also charged for water without being told there was a tap water option.
Food could be better for the prices you pay. Cocktails are served in small glass for $13 a piece. Food could be elevated, service could have been better- waitress not too knowledgeable about menu items
This was my second time at Makers Union. Loved the food and ambiance. Went to have a quiet date night to celebrate my birthday. We are already planning our next date there!
Chain restaurant, so do not expect anything novel. I personally enjoyed my burger and fries were very good. Other more interesting dishes ordered at my table were smaller and not as satisfying (according to the diners). Cocktails were tasty but very watered down with ice. Beer on the menu was misleading. Instead of being on tap it was served in a can, so a little disappointing. Waiter did a fine job but was obviously overworked. Service could have been a lot better with sufficient staff, but I know that part is tough (hiring workers) these days. Overall, it was worth a try but probably will go somewhere else next time I have the opportunity to eat at Reston Town Center.
Service by hostess and waitress were great. Food was delicious and we loved the holiday hot chocolate dessert drink!!
Great food and great vibe will definitely be returning!
We enjoyed our drinks, appetizers and entrees-everything was delicious! Note- other reviewers reported that the noise level is perfect for having conversations. I have to disagree wholeheartedly with that! It’s a typical bar/restaurant-with “energetic” fans watching college sports in the bar area :)
Sunday after Thanksgiving and it wasn't as crowded as it usually is which was a nice break. We were able to enjoy the food and each other's company! Our servers were exceptional as well.
Great brunch with bottomless mimosas!
Great food, mac and cheese especially. Meat was cooked properly and service was nice and attentive.
Amazing food love the vibe, menu and friendly service,
Came for anniversary dinner and had a lovely time. The drinks are always delicious and the food is fresh and delicious.
It was way too hot inside
Food is good! Beer is good! Ambience is good!
Not for kids
Amazing wait-staff, incredible ambience, and fantastic food! Definitely a good spot to go on a date night.
Vibe was great. Wasn’t too loud, so you could have a conversation. Food was wonderful.
The service was good. The food was good. I am gluten free and dairy free so I had a salad. It was an amazing steak salad. Not many options for the gluten and dairy free crowd. The other diners loved their meals.
Food was great! Restaurant was busy at dinner which led to slower service. It was pretty noisy but I would definitely go back.
The food was good/average; our waiter forgot items, never got refills on drinks but there were other servers who helped us and got the food out in time. cute décor.
Had a great brunch on Sunday. Make sure you order a mixed drink- the two we had were fantastic.
Higher priced but very good food
We were getting re-acquanted with someone and didn't want to be bothered all the time by the server. She picked up on that and told us to put the menu on the edge of the table when we wanted service. Clever and helpful. Food was pretty decent - good beer - nice atmosphere.
Service was not excellent. It was not a matter of being understaffed, as most of the service was up talking to each other while we were not being served. Selection of food and beverage is extraordinarily limited, though the food that was served was very good. The cost of the food that was served was extraordinarily high for the area. Alomar the overall experience was not worth a return visit.
Disappointed in the service that was received. It started off strong, but diminished as our time there went on. I would still recommend because the food is fantastic and the restaurant is amazing.
Great service. Good drinks. Food was mediocre. Appetizers over cooked. Entrees had large portions but sides were overcooked and overall taste was bland. Great place to hang out of drink or two.
