Manor Hill Tavern
Our Head Chef strives to use seasonal and locally-sourced ingredients whenever possible, including herbs and vegetables from our farm. Our distinctive menu is highlighted by a custom-built brick oven for neopolitan-style pizzas and more. We serve lunch and dinner 7 days a week, as well as brunch on Saturdays and Sundays.
We proudly serve beers from Manor Hill Brewing, Howard County’s first farm brewery. Manor Hill beers are hand-made on our farm using original and unique recipes. The result is aromatic, hop forward farmhouse style beers.

We went for an early Sunday supper before Shakespeare in the Ruins. Food was fresh and portions were generous. Beer selection offered lots of variety. Cobb salad was tasty.
Three of us had lunch in the fireplace room. Our server Angela was outstandingly pleasant and attentive.
The food was good, and met expectations.
The food was delicious! Our service was good, however I think our waiter (who was super friendly and great overall) was overloaded with too many tables. Will happily go back again!
The food was good but not special. Service /location/ ambiance were all excellent. I would return.
The food is always fantastic and thoughtfully crafted. You can't make any wrong choices when it comes to their menu options. The staff is so pleasant and welcoming, and the atmosphere is casual but very clean, cozy and inviting. Brunch is a must! Come back often enough to try everything on the menu.
Great food and service, what more can you ask for?! Beer and cocktails, yes, those too! We always get a brick oven pizza for each of us and the Smoker is my all time favorite. This time we tried the Brussels sprouts as an appetizer and they were delicious. Manor Hill has a great atmosphere and is a perfect setting in old Ellicott City. Our server, Angela, was excellent; very friendly and efficient.
Great atmosphere, however the prices just don't match up with the menu. $17 for a sandwich filled with vegetables is unreasonable, as is the $18 burger.
I will say they make the best salads ever though! Great beer and cocktail list.
I'll definitely come again, but maybe just for an app and drink.
Went for restaurant week and it was a wonderful meal. The tuna Tacos were amazing as was the duck.
The restaurant week prix-fix menue read very elegant and avant-garde. The plates had good even the almost-too-much beurre blanc made the celery root purée just gorgeous. HOWEVER, the dessert was extremely disappointing. I almost sent it back. It was said to be a peach CRISP bar. I didn't have the ice cream not only because it doesn't agree with me rather because I wanted this CRISP(?) peach bar to be unadulterated and taste as it is meant to be. It was anything BUT crisp. It was as if someone opened a jar of peach baby food, tossed it with some flour it wasn't even worthy of that label. $10 wasted and there was sadly not enough alcohol in my 1, $9 cocktail to convince me otherwise. Don't think we will be joining restaurant week there again next time. The folks that wait tables there are fantastically attentive; sorry we can't say the same for all the kitchen staff. Regards!
Food and beer was excellent. The tavern was full and the waiter seemed stretched thin. However, overall service was good.
Manor Hill NEVER disappoints! We’ve been going for several years and ordered take-out thruout the pandemic as well! Kids have been going since they were wee ones and now as teenagers they still love it! Service is great! Food is always excellent! Highly recommend for all kinds of groups!
Food was incredibly good. Started out with the wings followed by a burger with the street fries. Everything was outstanding. Sat close to where the pizzas were made and those looked really good too.
Great place, great drinks, great food, great service. We'll be back
Burger was very good. Soup special was OK. Bay fries were great. Beer on tap was very good. Overall a good experience.
The menu listed on your site was not offered at the restaurant. The menu items are the reasons we went.
Great restaurant for a relaxed dinner. Will definitely be back.
Met friends for a first time visit post pandemic. Food was awesome. Service well done. Overall…a great experience. Beer was delicious too!!
Great food and service. Would definitely return. Only critique is that the restaurant could do a better job on it's website explaining the differences between the beer garden, the indoor restaurant and the patio/terrace. In short: 1) Beer garden -- no draft beer available and food comes in takeout boxes. But dogs are allowed; 2) patio/terrace -- cannot reserve a table for the patio, reservations are for indoor tables only. No dogs.
Great Father’s Day lunch experience. Solidly good food and attentive service.
We went to Manor Hill for Fathers Day Brunch/Lunch. The food is amazing!!!! We will definitely be frequent diners there!
As usual the food was fantastic. We always order the chicken and waffles. We haven’t found any other restaurant offering this as delicious as Manor Hill Tavern.
It was Father’s Day and my husbands birthday. Really great service and delicious food!
Excellent good, cute little place in Old Ellicott City
The food came out at different times. You couldn't sit in 2 of the chairs because the legs fell into a section of the floor. Good waitress but other than that, not good.
Love this place! The staff make you feel welcome and comfortable like a neighborhood bar, but the food is up a notch on flavor and freshness compared to the average neighborhood bar. Our family loves it there and will keep going back!
Best night at manor hill! Cool Atmosphere and great food. Perfect for a date night.
I understand current state of affairs however when a service issue is brought to the attention of the server who acknowledges their mistake and then does nothing to stop the domino affect of the first mistake, it’s an issue.
My table ordered appetizers, then about 10 min later, entrees. My mother’s entree pizza was delivered to her 8 min before appetizers hit the table. No one else got their food at that point.
After bring it to the attention of the server, he acknowledged it was his mistake for putting the order in to the pizza kitchen bc they cook much faster than the other kitchen departments.
3 min after appetizers were delivered, our entrees came out. Again the server apologized for not keeping track.
I spent years managing and owning my own restaurants I understand mistakes, but to not utilize the first to make sure a second doesn’t happen especially one that is related to the first I’d mind-boggling.
The food was ok although the salad I ordered seemed to have only portions with dressing on it.
I’ve been to Manor Hill and it’s sister restaurants several times but this kind of service makes me not want to return.
It will be a long time before and if I ever go back to Manor Hill.
Food is inventive & tasty using eclectic ingredients.
This is a nice place for dinner with friends. Beautiful restaurant with great food. My only complaint was that the pina colada cake was so dry and crumbly- not even the tasty ice cream could save it! Luckily my server was kind enough to remove the dessert from my check because I disliked it so much. Despite the nasty cake, everyone else was delicious and fresh. I would visit again!
We had a great dinner and really enjoyed the drinks!
A great place for dinner and drinks with friends!!
Great service, friendly staff, delicious meal!
My wife and I enjoyed the Duck, Duck, Pizza and the Boar to be Wild Pizza. Both were excellent!!
Great for drinks. Did not have any food, but looked good,…
food was great, service was just right, perfect place to catch up with friends.
Over priced for what is offered but food is solid and atmosphere is great.
Our waitress was Kaia who was phenomenal. We order three basic salads, the Cobberque, salad, fries and two seafood stew. All were pretty good. The only con was parking. They do not have their own parking lot. I'm recovering from having seven strokes so let's just say looking for parking and walking up a hill to cross the street wasn't in my body's preference. And my mother who's 66 definitely wasn't happy so yes had to bring her back to the front then find parking again
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Great beer, pizza, and salads. Everything was fresh and tasty.
It was great! The food was very tasty and service was attentive!
