Mansion House 1757

We took my wife for her birthday. It was a fantastic experience. Greeted by the owner, treated exceptionally well. After the meal the chef even greeted us and told us more about the restaurant. Love that it is locally sourced food!

Supurb food and service. We sat in the tavern at a large table. Enjoyed the cozy space. Everything we ate was top notch including the steak, crab cake and fresh fish. Definitely a winner.

We came as first time customers for our wedding anniversary. The food was fantastic and the service was outstanding. Our waitress checked on us, but did not linger or hover nearby, which made us at ease in our conversation. Will be back to try summertime foods!

Wonderful Easter dinner at Mansion House 1757. It is very pleasant country side drive from downtown Gettysburg - through rolling hills and farmlands. The building itself has great history and the owners are present and willing to share the background. The dinner was prepared with obvious culinary skills and the service was friendly, engaging and responsive. We cannot speak highly enough of this restaurant.

This is my second time at this place and haven’t been disappointed yet. The food and the ambiance is just amazing. The cocktails are perfect too. Visit if you can.

I could go on and on and use a bunch of savvy adjectives to describe how wonderful our stay was, how wonderful our meals were, and how wonderful and  nice the owners and staff are, but I won't. However, I will advise you to GO and  get you some Mansion House 1757. Prost! 

Very enjoyable dining experience. Great atmosphere and service with very friendly waitress. Nice entree selection and wine list. Definitely will eat there again.

George was a fanatic host (chef too)! He gave us an impromptu history lesson. It was awesome! The food was out of this world.

Great find in Fairfield, PA. Specialty Cocktails were superb, beer selection was also good. Food was delicious. We will defintely be returning.

Hmmm, where to start this review of such an exceptional restaurant. I'll start with the exterior and interior of it. The restaurant appears to be a home nestled amongst others along Washington Street. It's interior has been transformed into several quaint dining areas and includes a cute bar. The food was outstanding! My daughter and I enjoyed the soup sampler and sourdough bread appetizers, which were a great combination. The sampler allowed us to taste the shrimp gazpacho (with just the right amount of heat), creamy crab soup, and creamy potato soup. For entrees, we enjoyed the crab cakes and curried, black bean vegetarian dish. Both meals were on point! They tasted fresh and were portioned perfectly. The chef kindly visited our table to welcome us as we were first time diners to his establishment. It's small gestures like this that really make a place stand out. I can tell that he is proud of his establishment and food and he sure should be! The service was also on point and marked by friendliness, promptness, and attention to EVERY detail. This place is a hidden gem in Gettysburg and well worth the discovery. Restaurants need us right now, so if you feel ready to venture out for a classy dinner with your partner, family, or friends then this is the place! My daughter and I will definitely be back as we've already made reservations for Easter!

I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely recommend everyone coming to dinner here. Anything you choose will be fantastic—from their inspired cocktails, to the most delicious entrees, and the heavenly desserts! This is a historic inn with the perfect dining setting. A tavern for more casual dining and two beautiful dining rooms for a more intimate setting. The service was very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. You can taste the true difference of farm fresh over the frozen boxed food off a delivery truck!

Fantastic traditional stone inn and restaurant with cozy furnishings. The menu was delightful and the food quality was excellent. The friendly staff just added to a really wonderful experience.

Excellent Sunday brunch! Was hard to decide since everything on the menu sounds so good! I selected scrumptious Eggs Benedict & my friend enjoyed a delicious veggie Frittata. We saved room for desserts: warm apple cobbler w/vanilla ice cream and the deliciously unique Mansion House cake with strawberries & cream. Every bite was wonderful! Friendly, outstanding service in a cozy environment. We will definitely be back soon!!

We were stopping by to eat after snowboarding and it was a great choice. Very friendly staff and amazing food!!

This evening was a wonderful event for my wife, youngest son, and me. The beef wellington was ovre the top.........as was the entire meals.

This was our second visit to the Mansion House 1757. The food, the ambience, the drinks could not have been better however on this second trip, the service was dismal. The waitress was more interested in a larger party, and basically ignored our table. She walked past our table several times without even asking if we needed anything. We were never offered second drinks, dessert, or even coffee. I understand that people have off nights but she seemed very attentive to another table while we sat largely invisible. I would go back for the food because it is wonderful but as of now the service has soured me a little bit.

We have been to Mansion House several times and each time we walk away delighted with the experience. The owners are warm and friendly, the waitstaff is excellent and each meal has been delicious.

What a find. Great service team. Great bartender. No rush service. Going back again, and probably again.....

Our server Monique was fantastic! Love her - love this restaurant. The ambience is great and the food was really good. I would come back again if I visited this town again.

We had an amazing meal! The people that run this establishment are top notch. Cindy, the hostess, remembered that the waitress got my wife’s order wrong the last time we dined. She went above and beyond to make everything right. We love coming here and look forward to many more dinners!!

Prices too high for what you received. Thought sides could have been a little more original since the place has two chefs!! (scalloped potatoes? only a heaping tablespoon). Two bites, my husband was done! By the way, only two sides we're offered.
Had to ask server for everything: straws, napkins (she brought cocktail napkins-the size to set a glass on - what were we suppose to do with that?). My decaf coffee was weak and watered down. My daughter's cappuccino was cold. Awefull. Go to hickory bridge. More food, same price.

Food was excellent. Osso bucco was the best I ever had! Ambience perfect for Valentine’s Day.

My boyfriend took me here for Valentine’s Day. The food and cocktails were amazing! Will definitely be back for brunch!
