Excellent waitress. Paige was dekifhtful and cery accommodating. Food was good and we were served quickly.
Unbelievably delicious and well-designed menu options. The chef is fantastic. Fifteen minutes from Gettysburg and well worth the drive! We will absolutely come back next time we’re nearby!
We had our Anniversary dinner there, and the owner/chef came out to our table to greet us and explain the dishes on the menu.
Excellent experience..we will definitely return. Owner Chef came out to chat and our server Heather was excellent
Beautiful, warm and friendly
We love Mansion House! The food is perfection and the staff and owners truly care about their guests.
My husband and I visited Gettysburg. We were celebrating our 40th anniversary this week. What a great trip and the Mansion House 1757 was a highlight of our trip. If I could give this farm to table restaurant 10 stars I would. It was a perfect evening from start to finish! Let’s start with our server Monique. She was knowledgeable, friendly, great attitude, fun to chat with and made the evening memorable. The food was outstanding. My husband had a trio of soups, three small cups, mushroom, she crab, and gazpacho. Each one was better than the other! I had the crab meat eggroll which was creative and delicious with a delicious apple cabbage slaw.We both had creative and yummy cocktails as well. The main course was a rib eye for him with the best mashed potatoes I have EVER had!! I had shrimp etoufee, with quinoa, both dishes cooked to perfection, served with simple, fresh picked zucchini and clean plate delicious!! Lovely presentation as well. Desserts did not disappoint. Warm apple blueberry cobbler with dense delicious and I bet home made vanilla ice cream and a lovely Mansion House cake with blueberry sauce, more like macerated blueberries than a sauce, not overly sweet so the true flavors came through! Add to this a perfect ambiance on the front porch with our pooch and a perfect moon right across the street on a lovely summers night!! I could not have ordered a more perfect evening!! This restaurant is a winner!! No other meal that we had up there compared. We would love to return!! The owner of the Inn/ restaurant came by to chat and see how everything was, this was a nice touch snd made the evening feel very personal, as did Monique! If you are in the area, don’t miss the opportunity to experience an amazing meal!!!!
It was out first time eating at Mansion House 1757. We have not had such a delicious dinner in months. The soup sampler, ribeye steak, and fried oyster sandwich were outstanding! Very highly recommended!
Outstanding food and service. A truly enjoyable dining experience.
It was our first time there and it was a wonderful experience. The staff was very friendly, from the hostess to the waitresses to the chef/owner who came out to speak with us. We felt so welcome and the food was great, especially the cobbler for dessert!! Definitely a place to return to.
Loved our meal. 6 of us had soups, salads and bread, all excellent. Bar service was great w strawberry basil margaritas and a smoked old fashioned. Entrees were excellent with salmon, vegetarian, rib eye, and crab cakes. Desserts were the best,
Make sure you save room!!
Food was overpriced and nothing special, paid a lot of money and everything was extra, received a little bit of wine when I should of gotten a little more for what we’ve paid. Sever didn’t really acknowledge that our steak was nothing but fat and grizzle, won’t be eating there again
Traveling and found interest in the historical aspects of this location and impressed by the menu. Our dinner was fantastic and the service was wonderful. The location was a very easy and short drive from Gettysburg and well worth the trip out.
If you are looking for upscale dining at a wonderful and historic venue- this is the place! The food was fantastic. I had the crab cakes and my husband had the pecan crusted chicken. Wonderful! Then we had the Mansion house cake - not what I was expecting but absolutely delicious, I highly recommend it.
Meal was delicious, the atmosphere and venue beautiful, service excellent and staff was friendly, personable, helpful, courteous and professional. Overall wonderful experience.
Ahhhhmazzzzing ... every bite was as delicious as the first. Did not want the food to be gone. Will definitely return.
Well worth the drive from Harrisburg West Shore. Not fancy or sophisticated, but genuine and warm. The flavor combinations in the dishes we tried was unconventional, but spot-on - really good and enjoyable. The service was attentive and personal, yet unobtrusive. The owners' visiting the table at the end of the meal was to us a meaningful personal touch of cordiality. Great dining experience for our anniversary! Will definitely be back with friends.
Absolutely delicious from the appetizers to dessert.
We had a great time! Historic place, sat by the fire place, asked how much light we wanted for ambiance. Emma was new but a great waitress and very attentive and knowledgeable.
Excellent meal and service. Would definitely recommend.
The service and the food was excellent
Very good food at a reasonable cost. Great service.
We loved the atmosphere and our server was wonderful. We had the pecan crusted chicken which was delicious as were the crab cakes and ribeye. The sides - mashed potatoes and yellow squash were very good also. The two desserts we had were good but not rave worthy. I do think the prices are a little high, definitely a special occasion restaurant.
My only complaint is that we were celebrating a 59th wedding anniversary which I noted both on Open Table and confirmed with the restaurant by phone and they did not do anything special which was disappointing.
Our mew favorite place to visit when we come back to Gettysburg! The owners are and on site. They were extremely friendly and very personable. Our waitress was Amy, we adore her! The food was on point and the serving sizes were cost effective.
We went for brunch on Sunday with friends. The brunch entrees were delicious: quinoa bowl, eggs Benedict and the crabby patty on brioche. They also offered the dinner menu and our friend who ordered the pecan crusted chicken was in love. Beautiful rooms and wonderful service.
Food was excellent as always, our 4th time there. This visit we were seated outside on the porch. I was a beautiful evening and the town traffic wasn’t heavy. Loved it.
Overall very pleasant experience. Service was great and food was priced appropriately for value. Would like to see a different steak choice on the menu, ribeye was not impressive. the desserts were great and worth saving room for. I would recommend especially if you like a quiet laid back atmosphere
Amazing food and service. The warm sourdough bread is a must
Food was amazing! Monique was wonderful and attentive. The apple-blueberry cobbler was so delicious. The only semi-complaint is that you have to pay for bread service-we decided to skip that. The decor and ambience were calming and beautiful. It was delightful overall!
Food and service were both great. I highly recommend the scallops
We very much enjoyed our dinner. Our waitress was pleasant & efficient. The food was very good
We went yesterday for Father’s Day and it was a wonderful experience. Food was excellent as well as the drink menu! Our server was so sweet and helpful! Absolutely loved the history of the building. It was a perfect end to our day touring Gettysburg! We will definitely be back!
This was a a great surprise for me and my wife. Traveling through Gettysburg, looking for a good meal and character and we hit a home run with the Mansion House. The history behind the Inn and Tavern was wonderful and Paige was on point with all recommendations and information. The Pecan crusted chicken was superb with the maple creme. Chef George was great. It’s clear that he puts his experience, heart, and skill into every dish. Add in a wonderful environment, some nice history, and thoughtful staff and you couldn’t ask for more.
The food was excellent. We enjoyed our evening immensely!
This restaurant is a must for ambience and food! We absolutely love the friendly servers. The owners are also wonderful people who want to make your experience phenomenal!!
We were celebrating our 32nd anniversary and our server made sure we had absolutely the best service, she even put a candle in our dessert. The food was outstanding and so was the service.
My three co- diners were very disappointed. Will not be returning.
Super dinner and excellent service are a hallmark of Mansion House.
