The trout almandine was incredible and the crepe suzette... very yummy!!!
I made a reservation and selected indoor table at Open Table. The restaurant called me 3 times to confirm the reservation, I re-confirmed that my reservation had been made for an indoor table and in one of these conversations the person told me they could not guarantee the indoor seating but they would take into account when allocating people and table. Not sure why this cannot be planned ahead when the restaurant is operating with reservations and knows the amount of people they will receive at each time slot AND Open Table offers the option (not tentative option) to select indoor vs. outdoor dining when making the reservation. They also seem very focused on confirming reservations so it is weird, but ok. On the day of the reservation, I had a family emergency a couple of hours before but we did not cancel the reservation out of respect for the restaurant - we arrived and were very upset to see that we would be placed not only outdoors, but also in a very squeezed table/spot together with other 4 tables. The restaurant staff got annoyed when we were not happy with seating outdoors in a tiny space, although they apologized and tried to make the table a little more comfortable. After that, there was not much to do so we took the outdoor option but were treated VERY bad and rudely by our main waiter - he was one of the first to greet us upon arrival and clearly got annoyed that we pushed back on the outdoor seating - which almost ruined our dinner, my husband got upset and we did not enjoy at all. The rest of the staff was nice but the treatment we received from our main waiter was not ok at all. The food was good but the whole experience was made terrible (and not really because of the outdoor seating issue) - I would definitely not return to Match 65 because of that and would not recommend it to friends.
While the ambiance is very nice and COVID guidelines were being adhered to, the quality of food to price was poor. The salmon tartar was excellent, while the calamari was something you might find at a bar. We both had the filet mignon, which was tender and a Valentine’s Day only meal, served with pomme frites that were, well, just fries. The wine we chose was a glass of their Pinot Noir and a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon, both of which were underwhelming for $20 a glass. The Cabernet in particular tasted like it was $10 a bottle. Dessert was fine, and I had a glass of Glenlivet that was quite good.
Perhaps their regular entrees are more on par with what one would expect but for the price I couldn’t recommend what we had. However, if cost is no object then maybe with a careful selection it would be worth it.
It should also be noted that I generally do not dine out at this level and maybe some of the finer points were simply lost on me. YMMV
We loved spending Valentines Day at Match 65. Food, service, atmosphere were all a 5. Absolutely the best onion soup. Thank you!
Valentine's Day was a bit odd in NYC as the first weekend of Covid 19 inside seating was allowed. We ate outside in a small area well heated and filled and flanked with clear plastics that separated all of the tables. My wife was lovely and the food was wonderful.
We had a wonderful time (36th Val day together) so in love but not sure if casual friends would feel the same way?? We loved our meal. Great service and food....

Great Everything was perfect
We had a really nice outdoor meal in the cozy covid patio. Food and service are always pleasing at Match.
Best food ive had so far on the upper east side. Everything is fresh and tastes great
Despite the limitations all restaurants are dealing with during the pandemic, Match 65 is doing a pretty good job creating a welcoming restaurant environment. Our servers were personable, conscientious, overall on top of their game. The food was amazing as usual! Match 65 is our go-to UES lunch spot every time!
Best Bouillabaisse ever.
Always a great meal, excellent service and awesome atmosphere!
we went for a late lunch - To start we shared the Tuna Tartare that was amazing; for main course I had the trout (super delicious, not easy to find trout in the city) and my girlfriend had the salmon Tulum salad was really good.
We were seated in the "glass house", doors were open to allow air circulation, the temperature was perfect but we were give nice blanket in case we were feeling cold.
( they disinfect blankets with antibacterial spray each time --- i saw them doing it when i went to the restroom!)
I felt very safe RE Covid spread, certainly safer than certain grocery store!
Food was excellent. Salmon was cooked exactly as requested.
Amazing food and great service as always! :) We had Tuna Tartare, French Onion Soup and Moules Frites. They were all excellent. Really enjoyed their cocktail and dessert, too. They did such a great job setting up outdoor dining space, too! I was very impressed :)
Lunch with friend
It’s a bit tight and ventilation is occasional when the doors open
Just a great food experience the staff as always is very accommodating and under these strange times they succeed in being warm and friendly

Match is a great neighborhood brasserie. I have been coming here for years and always love it. The steak tartare and healthy salad are both great!
This restaurant is excellent all around. I had organic chicken salad for lunch, and it was delicious!
Had lunch here and it was excellent. Tuna tartare is a must!
One of my NYC favorites! Don’t miss an opportunity to dine here and tell them I sent ya! -Mark Sackett
Match 65 never disappoints!
Good food but too small and crowded
The Pate' de Campagne was special last Friday and the ambience even better. The Mac&Cheese I tried for the first time was a beautiful revelation. Will go back for more for sure!
Great friends, great dinner and outstanding bouillabaisse!
I don’t usually write a review, but I had to for my experience here. The food was incredible, and the servers were amiable.

Always great. A favorite.
This was one of my favorite restaurants I've dined during the restaurant week, so I decided to come back here by myself for lunch the other day. I really loved their organic chicken salad. I also tried their soup of the day, which was chickpea soup and it was delicious!
Great business meeting in my usual corner table..
Rack of lamb super delish
