The waiter was rude and management doesn’t know what he is talking about.
I really like this place, it is close, good food, however the service was not good. I felt like a burden and not a customer. Gave a tip even though it was not earned.

the Match Box is our favorite place to eat. We missed being there and we seriously missed the brunch
They advertised, both on their website and also inside the restaurant on a sliding screen on the TV, that they had bottomless brunch. We get there and they claim they don't. They also do not have bottomless mimosas. But they have mimosas by the bottle for $20. I ask for that, they say they ran out of prosecco but can substitute with another wine.
Our server told us he would get us a $20 bottle and charged us for an $88 bottle of wine. Did not know the cost until after I had already been charged. The restaurant refuses to call me back and never answers their phone.
Good food, decent portions and nice ambiance. Great social distancing and the staff were friendly and helpful.
I took my out of town visitors to Matchbox because we wanted to celebrate my brother's birthday at a restaurant that had outdoor tables. Because of their outdoor first come, first serve policy, when we arrived all the outdoor tables were occupied. Although I was skeptical about sitting inside a restaurant, Matchbox indoor social distancing policy was excellent. We were at least 25 feet(!) from the nearest diners so felt completely safe. The food portions were large and the taste was amazing. 4 of the 5 of us took home doggie bags but by midnight we had consumed all our leftovers, and it was still amazing. We will definitely dine there again.

We made reservations for outside seating and were seated promptly outside at a table six feet from the other tables. We planned on having the unlimited small plate brunch but were told due to the current situation they were not offering that. We ordered from the menu which had a little something for everyone. The portions were large, presented nicely and were tasty. Our waiter Joshua was outstanding, from his knowledge of the importance of distancing to his service. We felt very comfortable dining here! This was our second dining out experience since mid March. Definitely recommend this restaurant. The coffee was good and the lemon pound cake French toast was worth the calories. We will return!
Mediocre. Poke bowl was just plain rice with not fresh fish (rice was not sticky rice, and definitely not even close to being authentic). Got charged an alcohol tax even though we didn’t order alcohol.
Getting back out was a welcome return for my friend and I. And with outside dining as an option on the OpenTable app at my favorite pizza place made my visit very well worth the trip around the beltway.
Had to wait to be seated even though I had a reservation. Took like 10mins for our server to greet us after we were seated. Why no soups on the menu??? I love the Matchbox in Rockville and never had issues like I did at the Silver Spring location so I’ll probably just go back to Rockville in the future. Disappointing to have this type of experience on Father’s Day.
Brunch box is a great option for late breakfast or lunch on weekends. Lots of good, small plate options at a pretty decent price. There are vegetarian options, but not vegan friendly.
It was ok, things took forever and they kept taking my silverware so when food came out I had to wait and it wasn’t hot when I could eat it.
We really enjoyed brunch at Matchbox. The food was good and the choices were interesting. Our server was great. She never appeared tired, agitated or unwilling to fulfill our many requests. Without a doubt, a return visit is in order.

The brunch here is great and you can definitely has as little or as much as you want with the small plates.
Besides the attitude of the hostess, everyone else in the restaurant was amazing and the food is always delicious.

The food was decent, and you can get as much as you want with the Brunchbox. I just thought that a few of the dishes could have been prepared better (the biscuits were a little hard for the biscuits the cheese wasn't melted on the mini burrito; the crust on the fried chicken wasn't my favorite and a little oily especially when added to the grits or waffle with honey butter). The pizzas are always a good option too, but I would like to see a bit more variety in the brunch menu.

Sunday brunch service was very slow and unresponsive. Servers seemed overworked and kitchen staff couldn't keep up with the orders.

We had a great time and the waiter Cameron was exceptional, good food, we wait short time period between each order.

Amazing Brunch. Fantastic food and drinks! Great service.
The brunch menu has limited breakfast items. Most are savory. If you want pizza or burgers for breakfast/brunch you are fine. I decided that small plates breakfast will not be a go-to choice for me for breakfast/brunch. Their OJ is fountain not premier, and they were out of hot chocolate (in early February). None of the dishes wowed me (chicken with waffles - so so; blueberry french toast - OK; no extra syrup offered or provided; coffee cost as much as a cocktail (???). Service was excellent and we were greeted by the hostess and manager. The brunch is $28 which is not on the menu - server tells you. Mimosas, and coffee are $3 extra each.
I still like Matchbox and glad it is in Silver Spring but am getting tired of being seated next to the second door on the far side of the restaurant. Cool air comes in every time it opens and it's annoying if you are sitting near there. There really is no need for it. It should be an emergency exit and that's it. I still enjoy Matchbox, but I will re-think my dining choices if I am forced to sit there more.
Brunch was good, not great. A bit overpriced unless you decide to gorge yourself. But, the food was good and it's a great location.

The service was top notch. It was a very welcoming atmosphere and the Chicken Kale Soup is a definite must have. It was a fun experience.

Great food! Very nice staff! Ribeye was delicious. Kid friendly. Nice gluten sensitive options.
This location is not as nice as other locations. The food quality is not up to par and the service was lacking too. I was disappointed. I prefer other locations that will be my preference in the future.
