Omakase (お任せ) means "I'll leave it up to you". It is often for the courageous as we seek for them "to entrust" (任せる) their meal to us. Be surprised by the innovation and enjoy the likened-artistic performance by the Chef.
Matsuya Dining also presents the classic Japanese selection in our ala carte menu. Guests can enjoy a cosy ambience in our 48-seater space or 2 private rooms that are perfect for family or friends gathering, as well as for corporate discussions.
4.5 Stars. Yes, we would go back. We wanted Sushi near the Raffles Hotel area and found Matsuya. This is a small cafe-style Sushi place with great service and great sushi. Ordered various Sashimi, Edamame and Sushi and all were spot on. Nice selection of various Saki. Service was excellent - Yes, we would go back.
I had the Chirashi Set, fish slices were thick and fresh, and at $29.80, its worth every cent!
Saw they have a lunch omakase, will be back to give it a try.
The food was not too bad but when you pay more than $120 per person, do you expect to be full. The portion size was so small that I had to have a full dinner when I got home. Ridiculous!
