   Portions are small (our wonderful server warned us) and it's pricy. It's not about $$ per se, but value. Small portions are great (we should all eat less), but prices should be relative. Everything else was terrific, including the food.

   My wife and our dinner guest had a great time. It was a hot day that turned into a beautiful evening with outdoor seating. A few birds but on bugs which made it great because my wife and her friend don't do bugs, at all. Our server Alex gave us great recommendation for drinks and food. The drinks was good and the food was fresh and delicious. I found myself dancing in my chair to the music and eating the whole time. Definitely going on my favorites list for date nights.

   We went here for our anniversary and had an exceptional experience! Our waiter Kyle was professional, knowledgeable and made our dinner very special. The only issue was that the music seemed a bit loud for early dinner hour. We will come back again!

   Good experience overall. Service was great and the ambiance was amazing! I felt like I was at a Caribbean island resort. With that said, the food on the lunch menu left a lot to be desired and for the amount of money that was paid, I would’ve hoped for more. I’m interesting and visiting during dinner to see if maybe that changes thing to me. In short, the vibes made up for the food, and this is a great place to go during the pandemic. The drinks are also really yummy.

    We were celebrating my daughter’s completion of her graduate degree. The restaurant accommodated our party by moving the time of our reservation. The graduation was a combination of three classes due to the pandemic, ‘20, ‘21, and ‘22. Thus, the ceremony was quite lengthy. Nevertheless, the server was professional and friendly. The food was great. The atmosphere, superb. This was my first visit. It won’t be my last.

    My wife and I went on a Saturday night with two of our friends for dinner. We had a wonderful experience. Our waitress was very delightful and attentive. Our friends had some margaritas and a cocktail and thought they were delicious and vibrant. We each got some plates and tacos and enjoyed each offering. We then got two platters. The pork platter with crispy skin was a big win. As for dessert, the churros were excellent as it came with two different dipping sauces. Overall a fun experience with a vibrant interior.

    My friends and I made a reservation and got there on time and wanted to sit outside. We were told that the outside was closed because of impending rain and that the bar outside would open in 30 minutes. It was still sunny so we chanced it, waited the 30 minutes and were told our seats at the bar were ready. So we get there and grab the waters we were given while waiting inside with us. One person in our party had a gluten allergy (there were no notations on the menu to indicate allergies or whether an item is/is not gluten free) we were given menus and after a lot of questions and checking in with the chef about gluten free items (not many options), we make our orders. The bartender(s) outside did not pay us much attention and we’re not accommodating essentially had an attitude with us but was laughing and friendly to the people around us. Note: we all identify as Black. Make of it what you will. The food eventually comes. We ordered drinks, but they were never made and for over 2 hours, we were not given water refills. We were given an extra chicken taco we did not order and billed for it. Overall the experience soured us. The food was also generally not that great. The Tres leches dessert, however, made up for it.

    I came for Mother's Day. Maximon is a beautiful place, I wanted my children to experience it. I called before hand to see if a band would be playing ( the rep told me no and to my surprise, there was one. I wish the band was more festive and played more music. I came during brunch. I was surprised they didn't make more of a big deal for Mother's Day ( They did give me a cute mini bottle of prosecco with a little mother's day tag). Nevertheless my preteen children enjoyed the brunch menu. We will be back in the summer to enjoy the outside patio experience.

    Wonderful location, wonderful food. A bit too expensive for 4 people at breakfast but we got our money's worth. Very good food. Pancakes and preserves were magical. Savory plates just as wonderful.

    Great ambiance and view of the water. My friend and I went for brunch and loved everything we ordered. I initially was concerned that this wasn’t a family friendly restaurant because we had two little ones with us, but it definitely was. The service was top notch so I’m definitely going back.

    The food was not good to me at all. Mahi tacos were very dry and distasteful $18 for two tacos and the $18 for a martini. Drinks however were great!

    Went for brunch and the norteno is soooo yummy!! It has hashbrowns, chorizo, eggs- just soo delicious! The oysters were really good and fresh! The rockfish ceviche was blah- fish had no flavor. The churros were to die for! Service was not that great…didn’t come check on us. Food wasn’t really hot.

    A potential jewel in the Atlas Group restaurant collection, sullied by poor service. We dined on a quiet Tuesday night, but service was so poor it soured the experience. A young staff without an effective manager, this should be an easy fix. But food came slowly, drinks even more so, and the waitstaff were unhelpful with navigating the menu. The food itself was outstanding, but marred by long waits, empty wine glasses, and empty promises.

    Birthday. The food was absolutely delicious. We had guacamole, oysters, mahi and mushroom tacos. Exceptionally fresh food. Dessert was the best! Churros and tres leches. 5 stars!
