McCormick & Schmick's Seafood - National Harbor
This was my worse experience with M&S. The restaurant couldn’t accommodate a late reservation, as it took over 10 minutes to be greeted after we were seated. Then, I asked for lemons for my water— but, got limes. Furthermore, when my meal order came, half of it was cold. I said something. But, it was just hopeless. Normally, I’d send my food back. The late reservation and surrounding events dictated that it was a no- win situation. I do hope for a better experience in the future— at ANOTHER location.
They ran out food we didn't now until we asked where was the remaining food. The manger was rude didn't listen to concerns before responding. Didn't receive a discount on food. I cut my own cake 25.00 less on receipt, 25.00 on rewards was received. Do I want to come back no. My husband an I ordered the same meal just added extra but I got a 6oz steak an he got an 8oz with asparagus only. Meal was not discounted at all. Receipt number 60109. I'm done I guess we have to take our family bday some where else. We had 4 other group receipts so our total for my receipt was 353.59. If we are spending this much money with just 3 people. I think the service an quality should have been better with the other 10 people in our party.
We've given this restaurant several tries only went because of a gift card $30+ ribeye tough, baramundi poor flavor questionable freshness, mussels 4/10 have had much better at restaurants with lower price point.
Sunday lunch. Service was a little slow, but we didnt mind so much since it gave us time to catch up with friends. The food was ok, but i had higher expectations since i had been there before and the food was excellent.
McCormick and Schmick is always a great place to dine. Unfortunately we were unable to find a place to park at National Harbor after a half hour of searching, I picked my husband up, and we ate someplace outside of National Harbor.
We really enjoyed celebrating our 29th wedding anniversary at McCormick and schmidt. We had an amazing view of the sun setting over the water! The food and service were also great!
Kevin our waiting was wonderful. Service was prompt and courteous.
The food was delicious and beautifully prepared.
I had hoped for crab legs based on the web menu, but they were not available.
The staff were very nice however, the customer service that you would expect at McCormick's was lacking. They ran out of NY strip steaks and did not offer a comparable resolution. My scallops were not seasoned nor was there a presence of the lemon butter sauce that came with it. I actually have been sick on the stomach since. I will not return.
The server I had was new to McCormick & Schmick and did not stand up to what McCormick & Schmick stands for.
The ambiance and service was wonderful. However, the food was mediocre at best.
Food was outstanding! It was Valentines Day so obviously, it was very crowded but we used OpenTable for reservations of 8 people and were seated immediately and the waiter was ready and waiting. He was the best server and we never had to wait for anything even though he was working a lot of tables. The waiter really made our special night. Food and drinks were amazing. The kind of service and food expected from all upscale restaurants.
If I could give them a zero, I would. Horrible customer service! This is the worst restaurant I have ever been to. Not only was the service horrible and ruined my Valentine's Day, but my boyfriend ended up getting sick. DO NOT EAT THERE! I contacted the restaurant, hoping the General Manager would care enough to help, but I was wrong. I spoke to the Assistant General Manager and he did not care one bit. I was supposed to get a call back, and here we are 5 days later and I am still waiting on a call. The only thing this place cared about was taking my money.
Our waiter Ron was awesome! We were there for Valentine's Day so I was busy, but he was very attentive.
The restaurant was nice but the seating was rough. The table was rocky. The oysters were not impressive. It was just okay.
I had made reservations a month ago stating it was my husband’s birthday. I requested a window seat along with stating it was his birthday, but the hostess never mentioned it to the server and our meal and check was disbursed without any acknowledgement of his birthday. Also, we received a table in the middle of the restaurant.
We dine at this M&S quite regularly. This is one of the only times we didn't feel the love. The waiter passed us several times before even speaking. He didn't offer any bread while we waited for our meal. We noticed couples that were sat after us were greeted promptly by their respective waiters with bread in hand ready to be of assistance. We won't stop coming but just felt management needed to know. One other thing, our steaks were over charred and had that burned taste. It took awhile to get our a food to begin with so we didn't send it back.
This was a pre-Valentines date for us. Service and food were great for the occasion. Waitress recommended Shrimp Kisses for an appetizer. Great choice. Will return.
Enjoyed the experience. The host were great and accomodatimg. Service and food was outstanding. We went on a Tuesday for a early anniversary dinner. Wife loves the special menus!!
Overall great experience.
Initially I was turned off by the hostess; she didn’t make us feel welcomed at all. I asked to speak with the manager who said it was the first complaint she’d ever received about her - I found that hard to believe, but I do understand protecting and covering for your employees. She did apologize though on behalf of the restaurant. Our waitress was ABSOLUTELY AWESOME and so friendly and sweet!! It was because of her we’ll go again. It is a tad bit crowded as compared to other high end restaurants we’ve been to however, we still had a great time.
I was being treated to a nice birthday lunch. The waiter was very good about checking with the kitchen in regards to food allergies. He made several trips to talk to the chef to make certain. The food was wonderful and the service was great.
I always enjoy my time here
Very good experience- kalamari and mussels appetizers were fantastic- the fish entrees were flavorful and fresh, drinks were on point, and the servers were friendly and patient
The hostess sat us after another couple that came in after us without a reservation, even though we had reservations and were on time. The food lobster and crab legs were subpar. Will not return for dinner, maybe happy hour.
The place was packed but our server was attentive and pleasant
Thanks to Heather, Jimmy, and Shay. My family and friends celebrated birthday dinners for two ladies. Awesome! Ms. Heather was accommodating and helpful. She added small touches to the menu. Our service team was kind and patient. The food was very good. My group of 20+ didn’t complain—not to me. I would come again to the restaurant.
The food was delicious, Ron our service was amazing, very attentive & cared about our every need and the ambience was delightful.
We always love our time at McCormick and Schmick. Great service, food and ambience as always.
My waitress was amazing and the food amazing.
The service was great and the ambiance was very nice. The restaurant week menu food was ok at best. Nothing was outstanding and some things were flavorless. I had the fried shrimp and my guest had the seafood gumbo. These were the best dishes. Our entries included the lobster mac and cheese: it was flavorless and could have used some Chesapeake Bay seasoning; and the rockfish dish: it was also very bland except for the sweet potato mash which was tasty. Our desserts were the peach cobbler: a cobbler isn't a cobbler without pie crust - it was more of a peach crumble and not too bad; and the peanutbutter pie: it was good. Overall I was disappointed. I thought Restaurant Week was a time to taste the regular menu and to hopeflly become a regular diner. This idea seems to be lost on a lot of the participating restaurants!
I was able to make reservations for my wife’s birthday at her favorite restaurant. The service was average but we had better especially for her birthday. The Head waiter that seated us seem to be in a rush although place wasn’t crowded. I had to look for server several times. The one bright spot was the meal. Steaks were cooked to perfection. My compliments to the Chef.
Went there because of Restaurant Week. Food on the special menu was not ready. If you have Sweet Potatoes on the menu. It should be ready when the restaurant opens. Had to wait a long time for my dish because the sweet potatoes were not ready😞.
The Service was excellent, very nice.
The food was good. Very nice casual place. The water view was beautiful.
Thank you guys.
Arrived on time for our 3:45 reservations and was greeted to find out our table wasn't ready or clean (I swear it was only, at most, 20 customers there). The food was OK. Overpriced and plated horribly. The glassware and silverware were dirty. The service was even worst. Our waiter smelt of cigarettes. He didn't give us water, but gave us straws and was no where to be found for 15 minutes. So we had to ask another waiter to bring us water. We order an app and two glasses of wine. Never got those until we complained to the manager. The manager took care of our $8 glasses of wine and soon after that the service got better. The waiter was now more attentive. I definitely would never go back for dinner because the prices do not match the quality of the food, but would go back for happy hour...maybe.
Yes, but probably to attend earlier than 7:30pm. I made reservations, but we were still assigned to wait for our table. If walk-in clients and reservations clients are waithing at the same time, there should be a different procedure for the staff to coordinate with reservation clients. The staff needs need management rules and how to address to clients respectfully!
Food was great, waiter was great, but host staff needed help. They were polite and professional. The issue is I made a reservation for 7pm. We arrived 10 minutes early but were not seated until 25 minutes after the reservation time. There was no space to wait to be called and no mechanism to contact us once our table was ready so we were forced to stand by the front door as was everyone else. The staff continually asked us to clear a walkway for guests to enter and leave but it was difficult given the lack of waiting space. It soured the mood a little to the date.
for the first time at this branded restaurant the food was poor. The salad was great but the filet minion was over cooked twice since my wife had already finished her dinner by the time my second filet arrived overcooked again I just ate it (it was my wife’s birthday and I did not want to spoil the mood) . Her meal was underwhelming also the crab cake was great as was the salmon but the shrimp both the stuffed and just the shrimp were nearly tasteless. They apologized but that was it. We had a vastly better meal at the Human manor in Columbia the next day
Evelyn was an exceptional waitress and made our visit pleasant.
I was celebrating my birthday with friends. We really enjoyed dinner, the atmosphere and the service of our waiter! It was a very good dining experience.🍰🎉🎊🎈
