Mei Mei offers a modern twist on traditional Asian dishes, paying homage to the family traditions of owner, and executive chef, Jay Ho, who was born in Taiwan.
Dishes on the menu include fried rice with Taiwanese sausage, Korean fried chicken wings, scallion pancakes with sweet soy-braised pork belly and miso Caesar salad.
We arrived on time for our reservation, but weren’t seated for 20min. We were given a table directly next to the front door and thus had to deal with the traffic at the entrance. Once seated, it took another 10min for our waitress to introduce herself. The decor is gorgeous, but the noise level made it difficult to converse... The only saving grace was the food and cocktails...
Food was good the ambiance was amazing and the music was excellent. Will definitely go back.
We enjoyed our meal at Mei Mei. The drinks and apps were great. Will be back and try different things next time.
Our server was seated with a large table last minute, so the manager ended up serving us and he did an amazing job. Very attentive and I even saw him behind the bar helping the bartender with drinks. Great leadership and teamwork from him and his staff!
The decor is amazing - loved the ambiance!! The food was also wonderful. Lastly, the drink options all sounded wonderful and tasted just as good. Will definitely be back and recommend to friends!
Service was slow. Food and alcohol choices were limited/out of stock. The food portion was good. The quality was good but nothing special.
food was absolutely delicious. the ambiance was super fun. Our waitress was super nice and very accommodating. cant wait to go back
The fried rice wasn't fried at all, literally steamed white rice. but the food overall was very good
Food was excellent.
This was such a perfect spot for all different occasions. My sister in laws and I met here for happy our. They loved it and so did I! Planning to go back for date night with my husband!
The server Jessica was AWESOME! give her a raise! The decor was beautiful, the DJ added to the nice vibes it was great! The food could have been better but I still enjoyed my time there.
I love this place! Great food, environment, and service. Will definitely be coming back!
Food was immaculate in presentation and in taste I will definitely be back in the near future.
My and my date absolutely loved it and we will definitely be returning.
Loved the vibe and ambience. The staff was super nice and friendly. Food was amazing! Really loved this place. Already recommended a friend, she's going tomorrow April 9th!
Amazing loved the place ! Such a vibe and food was really good!
Mei mei was a very nice experience. The atmosphere and vibes in there are great and the decor and lighting are a plus! After you enjoy cocktails and dinner, you can head downstairs to their lounge which is chill and fun! The only downside was i paid $55 for 3 tequila and clubs, but they did give you a nice amount of alcohol in each drink. Make sure you have about $150-200 on you when you go, only downside. Other than that, it was a nice time! For food we had edamame, which was amazing. Pork dumpling, which were okay, and we each had an entree. I had the sesame chicken., it was pretty good. For drinks we had the lychee margarita and i loved it! My cousin got the Buddha beer, which the bottle had Buddha on it, it was cool.

Great location. Plenty of close parking options (a big plus in Philly). Very comfortable vibe. Excellent service. Their scallops and risotto appetizer was so good. Definitely will be back.
Let me begin by saying that the servers were fantastic in terms of personality. They were extremely friendly and welcoming. They, on the other hand, ignore serving etiquette. For one thing, you still put water on the table or at the very least inquire. Drinks were not up to par. I purchased a glass of Prosecco, a sparkling wine, but it was flat. Also, when serving food, cooks should inquire or know what each person ordered. Plates should not just be placed in front of people. Due to the wrong order being front of us, I now have to pick up a hot plate and exchange with the person seated next to or across from me. The menu was good, but more items should be added, and some items should be turned around, such as "small plates," which should be appetizers rather than sides. It's vague and deceptive. Spring rolls, Vegetable Cantonese spring rolls, and other appetizers should be included, especially for vegetarians, pescatarians, and other dietary restrictions. Also, if entrees come with rice, you should make that clear on the menu because if it hadn't been for the waiter, my party and I would have ordered several plates of rice. Although the food was satisfactory, my party and I agreed not to return. We had to send her rice back because it was not completely cooked, it was very firm as she went in for a taste, which was frustrating because rice does not take that long to cook. Which in retrospect should have been a deduction from the bill but that’s really no biggie. That just brings me to believe cooks are sending anything out just as long as the presentation is good, then the taste of the food does not matter. The desert was alright, the fortune cookie was a fantastic addition to the menu, both original and delicious. Overall, the ambiance was nice, the bathrooms were spotless, and the furniture was appealing. However, as someone who enjoys fine dining at all of Philadelphia's major restaurants, I was disappointed by the quality of service.
Amazing. Everything was delicious from the food to the drinks. Service was outstanding. We had Amenity and she was so fun.
Great decor, good service. Drinks a bit pricey but worth it.
Great service
Really good food & drinks .
Fun spot good food and drinks
We have been to Mei Mei twice before and every time service was great! Food was great! Drinks were great, especially the green tea shots. This time when we went the food was not so great. It just tasted blah. It was NOTHING compared to the first two times we were there. We were so disappointed.
Very pricey and the food is not great. We asked for Patron shots and they were mixed with water
The music was as loud as in a club but Kudus for staff to bring it down when requested
Amazing food, staff super friendly. Also the vibe in the place is super chill. The chef came out to explain something off the menu for us and OMG HOTTIE lol.
Loved our time at Mei Mei. Pretty sure they changed the menu since the last time we were there a month or so ago. My favorite drink the melon splice tasted way different (worse in my opinion). Pretty sure it used to be made with Malibu rum but they switched it so it’s not nearly as sweet and was too strong for my pallet
Surprised my sister for her birthday here & she loved it! The food and drinks are so tasty and filling. The set up of the restaurant is amazing as well. We will definitely be back.
It was amazing great food, great service and great ambiance.
We had a wonderful time! Enjoyed everything about this experience and look forward to returning with friends!
Best place
great food, nice crowd , this restaurant is a entire vibe
Love Mei Mei!! Great food & fun atmosphere.
Absolutely loved this place! Can’t wait to come back.
Celebrated a friend’s birthday our server Amity was amazing! Great energy and just completed our whole experience
Super beautiful ambiance.
It was packed! I just didn’t like that they sat tables next to us there were no covid precautions in place unfortunately. I believe they were short staffed but my server was really nice and friendly.
I liked the place and plan to go back to try out different dishes.
Food was pretty good. Ordered General Tso, Orange Chicken, and street fried rice with shrimp. Fried rice was really good but I had food at American chinese food store that was better. Worth going for the ambience and amazing service. Great place for friends or date night.
Everything was perfect! Definitely would recommend and return.
Not a pleasant experience. Immediately after booking my reservation I received a call asking that we arrive earlier than booked. We agreed and arrived as requested. Upon arrival we weren’t acknowledged for the first 30 minutes of us standing in line.
The service was also pretty horrible. My drink wasn’t entered by two wait staff. The supervisor appeared to have had a few drinks and was extremely loud and cursed so much that it made me uncomfortable. His behavior and language were so inappropriate that one of the guests at may table asked if he’d started drinking after me mentioned wanting to have one of the drinks we ordered. I would NOT recommend this place.
