Melody’s Viet-Thai Grillhouse

Excellent food, great service and good feel. But oddly they were out of Pho by 7:15pm on a Saturday night and had nothing else to drink besides water. Not sure that happens but I guess if you arrive with your own drinks and not wanting Pho at a Viet-Thai restaurant its a 5 out of 5.

The 5 stars is mainly for our server Ashley and the exquisite menu: we thoroughly enjoyed our Pineapple Fried Rice, Five Spice Chicken, Stir-fried Veggies and Shaken Beef. We loved the latter, Shaken Beef, so much that we ordered the same for Take-out at the end.
It was unfortunate they didn’t have any beverage offerings at the time, but the water was chilled and always available. We also forgot our BYOB in the car, so chilled water was welcomed.
We hope to visit again...

Found this BYOB gem last wknd in Ambler. Service was great. Pho was amazing! Best we’ve had in years. We will definitely be going back!

We LOVE the steamed dumplings with the sweet chili sauce! The filet tops melted in our mouths. Great, simple good and served with a smile. Thanks for a great evening.

Servings are generous and the food is wonderful. Melody's is a pefect match for Ambler's "Restaurant Drive."

We ordered steamed chicken wings tons, and pad Thai with chicken added. The food was very good, and service was excellent. The pad Thai was not the best I had ever had, but fine. There were no desserts available, and no Thai iced tea available, which was disappointing. ☹️ There was no break from the icy wind whenever someone opened the door to get takeout-a curtain or SOMETHING is needed. I really have no complaints, but for the price, I don’t know if I would seek it out as my first choice for Vietnamese or Thai food with such a limited menu and based on the atmosphere and taste.

Our 3rd time going and we still love it! We tried a few different things, but my go to is the ribye pho.

Amazing food, the shaken beef and Saigon pork chop were some of the most tender and flavorful cuts of meat I’ve ever had. The steamed dumplings were delicious, as was the pineapple fried rice and drunken noodles. We love that is is a local BYOB and cannot wait to go back. Service was good, food took a little long to come out. Overall I highly recommend.

My experience at this establishment was similar to others. Excellent food. Outdoor seating was comfortable and offered a pleasant dining experience.
Staff was extremely nice and friendly, but service was slow. I mean really slow.
Overall value for the meal and dining experience was good.
It could be great if they could improve their service.
This does not mean you shouldn’t go. You should, just plan to be there a while.

We sat outside so the noise and ambience ratings aren’t exactly relevant. The service was good and our dishes were excellent. We had shaken beef and garlic ginger shrimp. This was our second time dining there and we will definitely be back.

We had a second visit to Melody's and WOW. They fixed their service glitches and the food was simply outstanding. It is downtown quality so it is not cheap, buy flavorful, complex dishes. Definitely worth a try and a great addition to Ambler Restaurants

Dined outside and tried to support local restaurants. Food was surprisingly very good with some unique preparations and excellent flavor. A terrific value!

Great meal! Food was excellent. Service a little slow but very good and very helpful. When you look at the prices realize that everything feeds at least two people. We had one app (mushroom dumplings), one entree (Pompano) and two sides (Drunken noodles and kimchi). Everything was excellent. The kimchi could have been spicier but the flavor was great. We really enjoyed it and will definitely go again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our outdoor dining experience at Melody’s. Our food was delicious - steamed chicken dumplings, Shaken Beef (the filet mignon was so tender), and Ribeye Pho. The service was excellent. They provide a bottle of water to the table and replaced it quickly without us even asking. And, it’s a BYOB. We’ll be going back!

We were pleasantly surprised at the flavorful and well seasoned dishes we ate. The food really was excellent and we will return for sure!!! Kids loved the food as well. We ate outside and with all due respect to the Pandemic had a very nice but unusual server. When we asked what dishes they did not have, as they were out of our first request, he started to recite every dish on the menu until we cut him off. When he politely asked how our dishes were after we had started them, he repetitively gave us a double thumbs up each time like a bad Donald Trump movie. He brought us an ice bucket for our RED WINE. Just strange and he said that he was there for 5 months. It may be that alot of servers are still not coming back or due to school starting and not having choices of servers. However, he was really trying hard but perhaps was more appropriate for fast food take out.
As for our experience, we HIGHLY recommend the food and the manager did circulate and somehow was able to present us with the clam wanton cups which were yummy. The Shaken beef was UNBELIEVABLE..tender and flavorful. Saigon Stir fried noodles were plentiful and again delicicous . My wife who is a pork connoisseur really liked the port chops

Food was good but server couldn't get my dining rewards card to work and didn't seem to care, didn't go ask her manager for help or anything. Also was very pushy about getting our order and getting us to move on once we'd paid, and tipped well. We were the only ones there.

It’s restaurant week, so dining was outside on a closed off Butler Pike. This made the dining experience fun and different. Their food is always delicious!

Dining in the time of COVID-19 has a few challenges! First time dining at Melody's and we were pleased with the service and the meal. First, and most important we were comfortable with the table placement and the spacing between parties. It's not possible to measure ambiance on noisy Butler Ave! Remember we have no control of the number of people walking by diners WITHOUT face covering, so if that bothers you, busy street seating may not be for you.

Portions are generous. We shared an appetizer, main dish( fish) and a selection of very fresh vegetable . I would return again.
