Visited on 25th September 21. Really looking forward to it. The restaurant is lovely. I orderd the Macaroni Cheese unfortunately it was extremely dry, nice tasting but absolute no sauce, made it difficult to enjoy, possibly a reheat. Which was very dissapointing. The other order was a steak pie which was lovely. It would not stop me going back but just thought it was worth mentioning. I did say to one of the staff but Im not sure they took it on board.
My friend and I enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea in your lovely restaurant. The sandwiches and scones and cakes were all very tasty and we appreciated the unlimited tea and coffee which you don't always get. The staff were charming and very attentive. We'll be back and I'll recommend you to family and friends.
Fourth time eating here and everything has been excellent, would highly recommend it
Seemed short staffed and some options on the menu were not available and the restaurant wasn’t even that busy
Food was absolutely amazing and reasonable prices. Service was great the staff all very friendly. Great restaurant.
Had such an amazing time, food and drinks were excellent and the service was amazing!
Super tasty food and a wide variety to choose from, couldn't fault it. Waiters polite and super efficient, great cocktails and a nice atmosphere.
It was very quiet on a Sunday evening, but the whole Merchant City was equally quiet. Service was prompt and friendly. The food was simple good quality Scottish fare at a reasonable price. Background music was unobtrusive and atmospheric. I would go again.
Nice place with good food and friendly staff we will definitely return when we are next in the area
Food was tasty and staff were lovely, but the portions were very small and the staff weren’t very attentive (took a long time to order, for food to be served and to pay bill).
Had wanted to try Mharsanta for a while and it lived up to the hype. Good old fashioned Scottish home cooking done right.
We really enjoyed our meal and would definitely go again. Thank you.
Toilets were a shocker if we both hadn't went to toilets it would have been 5 stars just fix the toilets food and service was great pity 😔
Service professional and courteous
Two course lunch reasonable value for money
Happy to recommend venue
Great food, lots of choice. Service was excellent, all staff very friendly and helpful.
Excellent restaurant- one of my go-to restaurants in Glasgow. Excellent Scottish cuisine and good range of whiskies. Tables nicely set out to give privacy and ambience at the same time.
Very good evening - staff were so helpful and attentive . Couldn’t fault the food , it was delicious . Great time .
An excellent meal with attentive service and tasty food. Thoroughly recommended for all visitors to Glasgow.
The menu was reasonably priced and provided interesting choices, with some usual staples alongside more unique choices. The staff were attentive without being overbearing, although we engaged a good deal with them, as it was our first night in the city, which they were happy to do.
We left the restaurant being very satisfied with our meal and would make sure it was on our list of eating places, should we find ourselves in Glasgow again.
Service was good, ambience was good and the facility was clean. Pints and bottled beers with dinner were not cheap. I ordered a lager which was not great, so,I switched to Guinness, which was wonderful. The fish was good, though a little small and a bit greasy, but skinny fries, garden peas and tartar sauce were good. Dessert of Sticky Toffee pudding was awful. Two small squares of pudding just over half an inch thick, hardly any sauce and one small blob of vanilla ice cream. Hardly any taste. I also had an Espresso martini, which was small and in an oyster glass, a bit too bitter and frothy. Not great. I had a far better one in a large nearby Italian restaurant a week ago..... Not a bad place, but needs to raise its game a little now that the pandemic is nearly over.
The lunch menu was excellent value, good choice and really tasty.
Typical service ,food really tasty, music excellent. Enjoyed the atmosphere. Night brought to an abrupt halt by staff leaving the bill on the table when we had not asked for it!! We had enjoyed our three courses and were just chatting, actually going to order some coffees. Felt very rude, it wasn’t even 10 o’clock!!! Very sad end to a much needed girls catch up.
Food delicious and great value for money. Although inside lovely outside not so nice few tables and barrier next to road with noisy pub across street.
Mharsanta was absolutely stunning. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. The restaurant was very well decorated and had a lovely feel to it and the food was absolutely amazing! Would definitely go back.
A warm welcome at the door. Our request pertaining to my elderly MIL was easily accommodated. Our waiter seemed new but he was very good and personable.
Our food was fantastic. Black pudding fritter, poached egg on sourdough and chicken strips were delicious. Fish and chips and balmoral chicken was first class. A cocktail and 2 soft drinks and 2 coffees. Just over £70 for the 3 of us. Will definitely return.
We had a very nice meal. There was a lot of choice.
First time in and wont be the last. Food was first class. Goats cheese croquettes, blackpudding fritter , honey glazed sausages, mussels, haggis burger - all amazing. Cant wait to go back.
Albeit a Sunday night and there were a few foods that were unavailable due to a busy weekend, we very much enjoyed our meal. We will definitely be back!
Absolutely beautiful meal, so reasonable and lovely staff! Can’t wait to go back! Scallops to die for!
Food was amazing. I recommend the Musckes, loads of them and very tasty. Great variety and the best of ingredients
Good selection of good. Enough dishes to tempt even the pickiest of eaters.
Excellent food, great service. Would definitely recommend
Excellent food and service. Quiet due to the restrictions but very well managed so we really enjoyed our first night out in ages.
We chose from the set lunch menu, x 2 cullen skink soups, haggis burger & chips, steak and sausage pie with mash and veg, and sticky toffee pudding to share. We also had wine and beers with our meal, and coffees to go with our dessert.
The food was absolutely fabulous and the service from the two girls attending to our table was outstanding.
We spent more than 3 hours relaxing in the restaurant before being presented with a bill that we thought was great value for what paid.
A small but noticeably nice touch was when we asked for some tap water, we received a large jug with slices of fresh lemon rather than two glasses, which is what we’re used to in most other restaurants.
We will definitely be back to try the Sunday roast!
Food was lovely and staff where amazing could fault then will be back
The sharing steak platter was great and the kids menu perfect for my daughter. After dinner cocktails were also fantastic!
Arrived early Saturday evening
Warm welcome at entrance
Directed to the bar for pre-dinner drinks, barmaid did not know what a gin fizz was
Told our table was ready
Ordered the sharing steak platter £60 for 2 people
Platter arrived with a side salad of grilled tomatoes Parmesan and lettuce which was delicious
Scallops were amazing
Steak was overdone and very small portion
Overcooked onion rings
Chips and mushroom was ok
Quality of food is the same as what you would get in Witherspoons at half the price, really disappointed
Toilets were dirty and smelled bad
I would not go back I’m afraid
Excellent evening a a lively meal will return again
Thanks Anthony, we are delighted you enjoyed your meal.
Although we told them in advance it was a graduation celebration no mention was made of this but otherwise everything was excellent including the staff but felt a little isolated in the high sided almost complete circle booth!
Thank you for your feedback, we can only apologise that we did not reference your special occasion. We are glad you enjoyed your meal with us and do hope that we will be able to welcome you back again.
Top food ,top service excellent value, highly recommend a visit
Thanks Bruce, we will pass on your feedback to the team.
