Had not been back since COVID and was looking forward to it. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. Waiter was nice but unprofessional. Main dishes were brought to the table before appetizer dishes were cleared away. We had to ask for extra plates for the dishes waiter suggested we share. Empty beer bottles were not cleared from the table when we shared desert. Chicken was tasty but tough. Food was ok, service sub- par. It is a shame as it used to be really good.

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Miami, but last night's experience was terrible. We were a large party of over 6 guests celebrating the kids' graduation. Our server was distracted and rarely came by the table to check on us. I had to flag him down a number of times. The food took extremely long; not sure if the kitchen was backed up or short staffed, and they brought out the main dishes one by one, so my teenage daughter was done before they even served the rest of the table. I had to suffer her repeating "when are we leaving" while I was trying to enjoy my meal. Not to mention, the food was under-seasoned and bland tasting. A short rib for $42 should taste spectacular - my dad makes it better in the slow cooker at home!! Needless to say, I won't be returning!

Very pretty place. The service was seamless. We hardly knew they were there. The food was very good and the presentation was great. I am from Georgia and grew up on southern food, so assorted lettuces was a head scratcher as a menu item. But the Miami arts district food scene and my up bringing don’t have to align. I am not a foodie so to each their own. I highly recommend Michaels to anyone looking to experience high quality dining at a very affordable price. 4 people with multiple appetizers, drinks, entrees, and desert for under 500.

Todo lo que pedimos estaba 5 puntos, es decir regular. El pulpo seco, muy cocinado, el ceviche, un solo pedacito de pescado, el atún, regular. Por ultimo pedi un old fashioned, me trajeron un vaso lleno de hielo, realmente el trago lleva un solo hielo grande.

We love this place so much - the setting and staff especially. But our latest visit was not outstanding! The server seemed a little distracted - she forgot our homily and it came mid way through the meal. The whole snapper was also really lacking in flavor and just came with a few undressed leaves on the side. The menu overall is lacking in vegetarian options. But we keep coming back regardless, as overall the vibe is just great

Vito’s Stracciatella tomatoes cut was a bit different. The short rib hash found too many fatty chunks and i had that dish in the past. Service was amazing. A little disappointed with the food this time. I hope quality doesn’t change because this is my favorite place to brunch

This is for internal review and not to be published. Always been a fan- since it opened on the early 2007. Friends from LA came to town and I wanted to show them where the food movement towards better eats started in Miami. Sorry to say - but we had. a disappointing experience all around- which was a surprise and sad. From the bread not being fresh, to bad food pacing, overcooked stapes and uncaring and slow service

Food was incredible, we had the tomato and beet salad, the ceviche and the pork belly. Portions were generous to share. Will definitively go back! I reported an extremely dirty bathroom and it never got attended. Heard other customers complaining about this as well. Otherwise great restaurant in the Design District.

Too expensive, the food was standard. We have returned the artichokes as they were impossible to eat. It is a nice place, with nice ambiance but it is not worth the money for the quality of food received. There are many other better alternatives in the city with much better food and service

I’ve never had a bad meal at Michael’s, but they’ve definitely raised their prices and the portions have gotten smaller. The food was delicious, especially the sticky toffee pudding
