Millie’s serves mediocre food without any flair. The place is too not much different than the old chicken out premises that it took over. It was not an unpleasant experience, but it was far from uplifting
Food & service are great! Tasty, fresh & great atmosphere!
Upon arrival, I informed our waiter my 5 year old daughter had a shellfish allergy. The menu has a coded system informing you what includes shellfish. The chicken tenders do not have the crab icon, however, they are fried in the same oil as the shellfish. If she would have eaten them, we would have had an ambulance there and had to have used her epipen. Thankfully I asked. We ordered the chips and guac. She almost ate a chip, when I stopped her and asked the same waiter if the chips were fried in house. They were, again another item that does not display the crab. Very disappointed in this.
Friday evening is an overwhelmingly popular time to head out for a bite to eat, and Millie’s is no exception. Having made a reservation, we were seated promptly upon arrival by the courteous staff. The din of the boisterous throng in the bar area, however, seemed to inundate the rest of the dining room, leaving no quarter to carry on a civilized conversation over what ultimately were delicious albeit pricey tacos. Still, hoping to head back to try other things on the menu, but the next time shall avoid the the weekend chaos.
Go later to avoid the dinner kid rush as it is loud already. Otherwise, great neighborhood place.
Love it but so expensive
My second time here. The food is way over priced, and frankly average at best. The waitress was very nice and the atmosphere is fine.
Food is very good for a casual meal. I hate the mediocre chains and Bethesda is a pain to park and deal with he crowds of suburbanites. Nice service and they let us catch up for hours in the bar area
First visit on a Friday evening (6:15pm) and it was packed. Would suggest it more for a lunch or early dining (3p-5p). Service was good. Food was delicious and fresh. Will definitely be returning again and again.
This is one of my favorite neighborhood spots - dinner, brunch, happy hour - all worth the visit!! We took my mom here to celebrate her birthday. They honored my request for a booth and even gave a free scoop of ice cream for her. The Food is always consistent and yummy! The ladies ordered the shrimp salad and my dad had the lobster roll while the kids had chicken kebobs - we all picked off each other’s plates!! To say we go at least once a week is not a lie - sometimes twice a day!! Overall fanatic!! Thank you for coming to the hood!
Food was very good. The swordfish appetizer was excellent. The tacos were fine. Attentive , friendly service. It is a bit loud. Overall, a welcome addition to the neighborhood. I would like to see another non-seafood entree added to the menu. Maybe a basic grilled steak?
Millie's is a great addition to the Washington restaurant lineup. With its array of fresh seafood, multiple locally-grown vegetables, and superb salads, it stands out. The casual atmosphere is inviting and clearly family friendly, but also optimum for couples and groups.
Our dinner was fabulous and our server was excellent. She even told us the story behind the Millies name.
My first time there but not the last one. The menu was so inviting it was hard to choose. The clam chowder immediately got my attention and I’m glad I got it. It was great. The mahi mahi taco was perfect. The half portions options during the lunch time is wonderful, even had space for dessert. We had the chocolate cake which really hit the spot. Regular portion sizes looked huge which also means you get lots for your money. Ambiance and service were very good too. Definitely a place I will go back to!
Three of us enjoyed lunch on a rare 70 degree February day. And of course Millie's was serving outdoors. Two of us enjoyed the luncheon special which allowed us to have 1 taco and a half salad. Something new there. Perfect lunch.
Our first time at Millie's ... ❤️! Great menu, great service, delicious food.
Had brunch with my family visiting my daughter in college. Great food, service and ambiance. They accommodated us for celiac disease / gluten Free. We will dine atMillies again!
Millie’s is the best! It’s so fun. It’s a bit over priced... but the ambiance and the great food makes up for it! 10/10 would recommend
The lobster salad was so small for the price. On Cape Cod for the same amount of money it is 3 times the size. It was extremely disappointing.
Millie’s is a great place to eat. A little noisy, but the food is very good. Strongly recommended.
Taco night and they were delicious. Drinks and service were great.
good food, great location, pricy and very noisy. prefer outside seating when possible, can't hear conversation; tables too close together, but all in all, good neighborhood spot.
Burrata - 8.5
40th quesadilla- 9
The food was very good both times we visited however the first time was early in the week, this last time was early evening on a Friday. It was like Chuck E. Cheese without the wack-a-mole. We were surrounded by young parents with very young children, many of whom were loud and rambunctious. We will be back for the food but VERY weary of when and what time.
Great lunch. When we ordered dessert all they had to offer was coffee. No expresso machine. They should rally invest in one. Can’t believe a restaurant that offers such great food, wine, cocktails can’t offer their guests a cappuccino or expressive. Not a big deal, it’s a great place to dine! - just putting it out there for them to get an espresso machine.😘
We had an excellent dinner at Millie's! The swordfish kabob was delicious and my Miacomet salad with grilled chicken was perfect. Our server was friendly and gave us terrific service as were the food runners and hostess. Overall, Millie's delivered and exceeded our expectations!
I love Millies . Not my first trip. Great for outdoor drinks Spring and Fall. Brought business lunch there and everyone really enjoyed the food. Great seafood. Fresh and tasty preparation. A little loud to have conversation.
I wish service was better. Great neighborhood place.
Great dinner and great service. Everyone was very friendly. We will come back.
Ambiance great and service was good. Food was quick but cold. Won’t be rushing back. Such a shame.
Great Location, Great food, Attentive Staff.
I would only ask the staff to look at the desert menu.
We had the chocolate cake and it was just ok. It seemed to have been just taken out of the fridge and it was not particularly noteworthy consider all the other course we tried were spectacular.
Love that you can now make reservations. Good neighborhood place.
Great neighborhood spot, reliable food, fun atmosphere. It will become a family institution. Spring Valley is very lucky to have Millies.
Millie's was a great experience. Food yummy. Service friendly. The atmosphere upscale casual. Will come again!
Great . Celebrating a bday!
Disappointing first visit. Shishito pepper starter was pretty tasteless and fairly well soaked in some kind of soy sauce mix. Fried shrimp were surprisingly without much flavor. Chicken pot pie was clearly the highlight and would get it again.
We'll try it again but with different selections.
Consistently good service and delicious food. Fresh quality ingredients, quick kitchen prep, very good service, can eat healthy or not. Love their Giffords of Maine ice cream!!
I usually enjoy going to Millie’s. It is a neighborhood go to spot but this time very disappointing. We ordered lobster rolls. Which in the end were very over priced for what we actually got. The rolls had obviously been toasted much earlier and then sat around and for $27 there was not much lobster either. Server also never came back to check on us after food was served and the tried to rush us out. I’ll go back but not soon and not for lobster rolls.
Scallop tacos were excellent! Original and very nicely done. Highly recommend them. My husband had the salmon entree, which also was excellent. Our waiter was very helpful and responsive.
