This used to be a favorite restaurant of my family. The non-seafood menu was extremely limited. Three of us went with beef. I’ve never had a steak as bad as the filet mignon for $38 for 6 ounces. Way over-cooked, everything tasted like they piled up salt, and the steaks were way over cooked, over salted, over peppered. The filet was very thin. We were greeted by the host who showed us “attitude” from the start, and had a look on her face for other people, too. The server was very pleasant, as was the manager, who came by to handle the over seasoned and over cooked steaks. Don’t offer beef if you only know how to make fish. I highly doubt we would go back after so many years of looking forward to it. Even the music they chose to play was way too loud, and it used to be a quiet place, and even the type of music did not fit with the type of restaurant. I can’t think of anything we had, other than the water that I would order again!

We've been going here since it opened many years ago. Coming from the east coast it's great to find a good seafood restaurant in the Cleveland area. My wife loves the Chilean Seabass and the Swordfish was different and excellent. Drinks are great. One suggestion, if your dinner comes with a sauce always ask for it on the side.

Always enjoy the servers who are very well trained particularly Rachel who we always request and almost always get! The food is well prepared and the restaurant is quiet enough for us elderly folk to hear each other! We are members of their loyalty club and enjoy earning $25 with each $250 spent. We continue to be very regular customers!

The service and ambiance was perfect. Our meals were almost excellent until the calamari arrived. Semi-cooked and bland to taste. The bacon wrapped shrimp and our entrees made up for it. The chef even accommodated me and served me zucchini with my salmon and green beans. My husband and I will definitely go back.

Quiet place and service as great. We went here for an evening out for my birthday. Pleased with the choices available. My wife really enjoyed the Peach Sangria. Scallops and Shrimp were delicious. Prepared perfectly with asparagus and roasted redskins. The summer berry salad was a great way to start the meal. This was our first time here. It won't be our last.

The server was great, but she was the only server during lunch. The plates remained on our table for a very long time after we finished eating. I actually cleared all of the dishes myself, putting them on a nearby table where people had left, as I wanted to give my friends a gift, and could not place it on the table with all of the dirty dishes.

Excellent service with attention to detail. Unfortunately, the food was hit or miss. The iceberg wedge salad was fresh, flavorful and split in half as my husband and I were sharing. The walleye was delicious. Unfortunately, the halibut had a very fishy taste. Smashed potatoes and vegetables were all fine. But very disappointed in the halibut, especially at $42. Since Mitchell's prides itself on fresh fish, I'm not sure if we'll return soon.

I was a little concerned when I read the Mothers Day reviews, but was very pleased. Food was great, service was outstanding (Ashley was outstanding), staff was pleasant, welcoming and polite. Overall a great experience.

As much as I enjoy Mitchell's Seafood Restaurant, I was not happy with my overall experience. Most likely the issues could have been not enough staff and Mother's Day. I wish my family would have enjoyed it better.

I will never again step a foot in the restaurant. Now I totally understand that it was Mother’s Day and that the restaurant was busy. But everyone’s food in my party was cold meaning that the food was sitting instead of being brought to us. Our waiter never said anything about the lengthy amount of time it took to get our food. He never checked on us to see if we needed refills for our drinks and never checked on us even after our food came to see how everything was I really had high hopes for this place but me and my family were let down. 😫😩🥺😢

We came in on Mother's Day and the service was very slow. Fortunately, they brought out my children's meals and they we were able to eat. But all the adults waited over an hour for our food to come out. Once the food came out, I received the wrong order which they corrected but my mom's fish was dry and everyone else did not thoroughly enjoy their lukewarm food. Mitchell's use to be really good but this last experience made me not want to go back again.

It was Mother’s Day, so we expected it to be busy. However, we sat at our table for at least a half hour before anyone even asked us what we wanted to drink. The waitress came to our table reaking of cigarette smoke. Then, when our food came out, it was warm and within a matter of minutes it was freezing cold. Ever eat cold fish? It’s not the most pleasant, especially when you are treating your mother for Mother’s Day. They did give us a discount and removed a bottle of wine from our check. Needless to say we will not be coming back here.

A great choice for high quality seafood from a great chef! My wife and I have been looking forward to coming back and we were not disappointed! The restaurant has a good atmosphere and I'd like to come back to sit on the bar area.

Waiter was hurrying us through dinner. Shrimp was over cooked. Plates were obviously waiting a while to be brought out as the mashed potatoes were dried out on top. Overpriced. This place used to be better. Not going back anytime soon.

Sea Bass was rubbery, undercooked and not flakey. The other dinner had undercooked potatoes and overcooked scallops and shrimp. They did replace the Sea Bass with trout, and it was cooked well. Have dined at Mitchell's many times and have been satisfied previously so possibly just an off day.

The shrimp cocktail was very overcooked. Our food was average. Our server was lovely and working very hard but she was taking care of a huge party and many other tables so we waited a while to give our order and also for our food. The hill was pricey for the quality so I don’t think we will be back.
