One of my favorite sushi spots in Denver and this visit lived up to that. Our server was excellent, attentive but not pushy, the food arrived quick and outstanding as always. It was a Saturday night so about halfway through they brought in a DJ which made for a fun vibe. I'm sure some of the other diners weren't a fan as it was pretty loud but we loved it.

We’re from So Cal and we’ve found it hard to try new places because we’re often disappointed. But! We’ve found a winner. We’ll be back again and again! The sushi was delicious. We’re also more sashimi people. It did not disappoint.

Food is always good! But we waited about 8 or 9 minutes to be greeted by the server. He didn’t smile once and was very impersonal. He barely engaged would just walk away from the table abruptly. He was obviously occupied with resetting the restaurant for the dinner shift which we understand as we are both servers. However, as much we understand the morning shift was ending, we were hoping to get better service. Next time! 🙏🏼

Saturday night is always busy. Waited about an hour for our sushi rolls. They came after appetizers and main dishes. DJ played loud dance music. It was hard to hold a conversation.

My date and I both had a fantastic time. The food was great. Sake was great. Service was quick and friendly and the establishment was very beautiful. I’d go back and sit at the bar next time. It looked fun!

Been here a few time. Still a great place for sushi and the a5 meat. Only thing that I didn’t like as much this time is having the dj and playing the music really loud. Not sure if it’s for the younger crowd or what not but for me the noise level was a bit much. Other than that th food is great as always, drinks were awesome and service was great

I was introduced by a former DJ there to the manager Johnny and owner Lee. Great people and great staff. Vibes are good on a Friday night. Definitely a great spot to eat and grab a few drinks for a night out! Thank you for a delicious experience! PS if you are from Hawaii, this gives similar vibes to Doraku.

Sushi was good. Server added drinks to our tab that we did not order but the manager rectified. Ambience is pleasant but the energetic DJ played the music so loud that it was difficult to talk. Although we enjoyed the sushi I will not go back unless it can be determined that the atmosphere is quieter. Perhaps others appreciate the very load music but not our table.

The atmosphere was wonderful, service was great. The food was also very delicious, we had a sushi roll, nigiri, and the wagyu steak. Our only complaint is that the hot stone to cook the steak on was not as hot as it should have been and so our steak was not quite seared which was a bummer. Otherwise everything was really good, including the lava chocolate cake and espresso!

I've been to Mizu Izakaya and Sushi multiple times, and up until now, I have always had delightful experiences. The sushi was always impeccably fresh with perfectly seasoned rice. However, during my latest visit, I was pretty taken aback. The sushi rice was soggy for the first time, making the entire dish less enjoyable. To add to the disappointment, the service during this visit was not up to their usual standards. Considering the high bar set by our previous visits, this experience was surprising and disappointing. While I cherish the good times I've had here in the past, this recent experience will make us reconsider our dining choices in the future. I hope the team at Mizu takes this feedback to heart and works on ensuring consistent quality in their food and service.
