Always perfect. Love the rear garden.
Beautiful atmosphere, delicious selection and great service.
The back garden is so gorgeous, it was a lovely experience! The burrata and prosciutto was a perfect starter, and they have a great wine selection at all price points. Me and my girlfriend got the ribeye special to share, and it was absolutely delicious. The servers were so attentive and kind as well. This is a perfect date spot!
Food is always amazing. Def need to try the pizza if you haven’t !
Oddly slow service for just our table. Three tables that came after my party had drinks and appetizers before we even got our drinks order taken. It was only 2 of us. It was the weirdest experience. Food was impeccable as always so that made up for the weird service.
The service was slow and staff was uncommunicative. Even with a reservation there was a wait. Once seated, we had to wait a while for the server to help us. The food was cold and mostly unflavored, as were the cocktails—it was apparent the kitchen and bar were in a rush to get people in and out, sacrificing quality. This was our second time trying this restaurant, and we had the same experience, but we’re hoping that time was just an off night…turns out it wasn’t just an off night, it’s the usual.
The Food & ambiance was Phenomenal.😁 The vegan options were Excellent & can not wait to go back again!💖💖 #1BrooklynFoodie
Ggreat appetizers and the pinsa were both amazing. Waiter was very nice and helpful. Will recommend to friends and family!
Authentic Roman food, simply outstanding! Adding it to our list of favs!
great place for a large party, beautiful back courtyard that is open rain or shine. excellent pizzas and good pastas. okay service, recommend!
Food is always delicious! Staff is courteous and friendly.
Amazing martinis and pinsas!
Good food, good times, and good service
Amazing restaurant... a little pricey but would definitely come again
Have been coming to Montesacro pretty much since it has opened; was the last place we ate before lockdown and the first place we ate after restaurants reopened. The food and the service are always excellent. Decided to host my birthday here last weekend and the food was excellent but the service was atrocious. The server and the food runners were extremely rude and rushed our entire dinner. Food was still on the table when my plate was snatched from me, wine was in everyones glasses when the bill was dropped, without us asking for it. According to the restaurant a reservation for out party size gives us the table for 3 hours, we were rushed out in an 1h20m. Later I found out that my husband had called the restaurant earlier as he could not be at the dinner to order champagne for the table and said that the person he spoke to was extremely rude and unhelpful; needless to say no champagne was had. It’s very disappointing to have this memory of a neighborhood gem.
Omg best Italian restaurant ever hands down. Try EVERYTHING !
The food was okay, the service was slow and not the best. They're slow to bring out food but quick to bring out the bill. The hostess sat our party and immediately told us, "there's another reservation coming soon"; it was as if she was telling us to be quick about our business. I understand that there is a 90-minute eating window, but there are much better ways for her to phrase this. You're supposed to welcome people, not tell them to eat and be quick. Also, the seating was way above the mandated 50%.
Great food and good service. Can't ask for anything else, really.
Very good service and amazing food. I will definitely go back
Montesacro is phenomenal! Beautiful design, Stellar service & Incredible food! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great Italian meal with great ambiance!
New York’s best pinsa (Roman style pizza).
It was our friend’s first time. She said it was the best pizza she’s ever had!! Ours too.
The owner and host is very friendly. He answered all our questions about the pinsa.
Good service, nice atmosphere - 👍👍
Food was absolutely AMAZING! We loved how authentic everything was and how safe it felt given the open air circulation. It was definitely warm enough, although the tables are slightly closer together than I would have wanted. Service was fantastic albeit a little relaxed in terms of timing. Overall a wonderful experience.
This was our third time and every time has been spectacular. I can’t seem to stop ordering the pinsa Maranella. However, I have tried new things as well and find new favorites. Last time it was the chestnut pasta, this time it was the outstanding crispy artichokes. Incredible food and outstanding service. They also have an extensive wine list with some really outstanding wines at a low to mid range price. They have pricey wines too if that is how you roll. :).
I booked a table for dinner here last Friday, 3 weeks in advance. As indoor dining has only just reopened we were really looking forward to dinner but unfortunately our experience was really poor. The food itself was good, not excellent like it has been in the past, but the service was TERRIBLE. Upon arriving we were informed that our table was not in the main section of the restaurant but the table next to the front door, I asked why this was and was informed, rather rudely, this was the only table available even though i had made a booking 3 weeks before and this table wasn't even set for dinner, they had to grab us freezing cold chairs from outside to be seated. With lots of deliveries and diners moving in and out, the door must have been opened at least 70 times during our meal, with the hostess repeatedly even holding the door open to speak to people. It was freezing cold so we had to sit in our coats, which hardly made it the enjoyable indoor dining experience we had hoped for! I completely understand if a restaurant is really busy on a Friday night but it was the way it was handled, as though we were a inconvenience just being there. I asked if we could move seats and was told no and given no apologies at any point, glasses of water slammed on the table and just general poor minimal service. Such a shame as we have been to Montesacro multiple times before and enjoyed it, hence why we booked it as one of our first indoor dining experiences since everything is opening up, but safe to say we will not be going back.
Way too crowded in the backyard. Alot of large parties. And weren't seated until about 45-55 minutes after the reservation time. Then sat for another 15-20 minutes before even being given water. Food was good, but they seemed unorganized and understaffed
Excellent food, service and ambience
I got the carbonara and it was very tasty
The server/host/owner(?) was great. Very gracious.
Great food and mood!
Staff was great, food was great, and recommendations of wine was great. Overall experience is a definitely going back. We did the whole sha-bang (appetizer, meal, and dessert + wine) and it was reasonably priced.
Made a reservation more than a month in advance for Valentine’s Day based on the pictures of the outdoor garden. We were seated on the sidewalk & were the only ones seated there. We asked to go inside if someone left which we did after 20minutes. While we were outside we overheard the hostess tell someone that the garden in the back was available & warmer than the sidewalk. We ended up eating inside, food was good. I went to the bathroom before we left & finally saw the outdoor garden which was lively & had great ambiance. Disappointed we didn’t get to experience that at all.
Good for special occasion
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE ON MY BIRTHDAY AND VALENTINE’s DAY! DID NOT ALLOW US TO BE SEATED AT ALL AND RUSHED US OUT INTO THE COLD.
My boyfriend and I had brunch here and we did not leave anything on our plates. Very fairly priced meals and they were soooo delicious! I got the cauliflower skillet, my boyfriend got the scrambled eggs and we shared the french toast (we were fighting over it). Each got some mimosas that I'm pretty sure had freshly squeezed OJ. Because brunch was such a hit, we now want to go back to try their dinner. New favorite of ours.
Although the food was delicious, being forgotten by your server and then being warned barely 15 minutes before that we needed to order particular things that were quick to make in order to get out the kitchen. That didn't stop us from ordering two entrees to go. We were really looking forward to going since we went once before. It was so disappointing.
The food was amazing! Even made a few extra friends at the next table over while dining! Heat lamps also came in clutch in this weather
Eat here during covid, outdoor seating was comfortable with 3 out of 4 sides enclosed (so air circulation was ensured) and even though it was snowing two heat lamps made it comfortable enough. Food was good, service was quick. No complaints
Backyard garden is cozy and warm and a perfect dining experience during the cold winter months! Food is mouth watering good!
Beautiful back garden, beautiful food! Perfect experience
