Fabulous Sunday Brunch- every dish was fabulous, as were the Bloody Mary's. The truffle fries are out of this world. Would head back in a heartbeat. The lobster Benedict was amazing.
This was our second time at Mooo and it did not disappoint. The food was fantastic. My only issue with the server was I had trouble understanding him. He spoke very quickly, otherwise he was fine. I’m not sure we will come back again as the prices are bordering on too high for me. There were two of us, split an app. One cocktail, one glass of wine. One filet with one side of Brusselsprouts and a beef Wellington with a side of spinach. Split desert each had coffee. The bill was $245 before tip. I’m glad we went, but I think next time we’ll try somewhere else.
AH-MOOO-ZING! Our server Kristina was superb, and the food scrumptious. East coast oysters were a perfect size and starter. I thoroughly enjoyed the flavorful Waygu flat iron and delightful housemade tots (mashed potatoes, cheese & bacon balled and pan-fryed) while my lady had the 14oz prime sirloin and whipped potatoes. The garlic spinach was surprisingly flavorful. We finished with the chocolate cake which was semi-sweet, rich and delectable! Can’t wait to return!
The meat is really good. So as the beef tartar. Lovely ambient
Love everything about this place. People, food, decor. First class
Food is just ok. Pricing was very high. I didn’t like most of my meal. Was the surf and turf for $89. Bland piece of steak and what was supposed to be half of a 3.5 lb lobster. It was probably half the size and very over cooked. Would not return.
We enjoyed or evening at Mooo very much. The restaurant's pleasing decor made it much more worthwhile. Our meats were very tasty and cooked to perfection. The side of truffled fries were excellent as well. I have tasted better escargots but these where nicely prepared and with plenty dipping sauce. The wine list is a bit overwhelming and really did not expect it but I guess with such quality meats, a good wine is a definite companion. Would certainly recommend the experience.
Moo/boo! We have gone to Moo many times in the pass and had a terrific time. Our Sunday meal was not representative of our pass experience and that is the 'rub' :) We wanted to order the Branzino Fish that was not available because it was not delivered. Second, we ordered a drink with the ice in the brandy type glass towering over the 'old fashion' mix. This was the smallest drink that I have ever seen and the presentation, ouch. (Like, I said we have been here before). The waiter returned to tell us how many ounces the bartender used and so on.. Don't you hate excuses when being served and bartenders who are being a chemist while charging an arm and a leg for that drink. You don't go to Moo watching your budget, but please just make me HAPPY! OK, just make my guest happy! We will be back but please make us like you.
The food was very delicious and served promptly. The server congradualted us on our anniversary as soon as he greeted us. We were quite full after dinner so we passed on dessert. However they brought out a complimentary marshmallow dessert that was very cute.
Great meal, service and overall experience!
Complimentary Apple Tart from Alexis and PERFECTLY cooked filet mignons! Definitely an amazing experience and will be coming back (hopefully) soon!
Everything we had was amazing! I had the filet mignon and it was perfectly cooked. The creme brûlée was the perfect end. Excellent service and ambiance.
Food and service was awesome! Waiter were able to answer any questions and make suggestion with regards to what went well together. Defiantly will be back!
New Years Day! Delicious.
This was our second time here and we will not be back. The steak was dry and the rest of the meal lacked flavor and imagination. What a waste of a night out
Another great lunch at Mooo
New year celebration
Had a great meal at Mooo. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and the sauces were delicious. Great service as well.
We don’t dine out in Boston very often but we make sure that we get to Mooo once a year. Every part of the dining experience at Mooo is amazing... the food, the wine, the wait staff... everything! The filet mignon is fantastic and highly recommended. We love going at Christmastime so that we can see the lights at Boston Common. Whatever time of year you go, you won’t be disappointed.
Dinner for my husband’s birthday. This was our second trip to Mooo and we all worried it wouldn’t live up to our high expectations from our first visit. We needn’t have worried. We had a large, comfortable table and a wonderful server. The food was just as outstanding as we remembered. Lobster bisque with a savory not too thick broth, plus Sweet oysters and calamari to start. Then juicy, perfectly cooked steaks with multiple side dishes including the not-to-be-missed lobster Mac n cheese. Our server even put a candle on my husband’s dessert on a plate that read HappyBirthday in a chocolate sauce. The perfect end to a perfect meal. We will definitely be back! Our favorite steakhouse in Boston!
Our waiter was fantastic but the food was just good, I've definitely had better steak elsewhere and this is a steak restaurant. We did enjoy our time there but will not go back especially for the price.
Went to Moo for my birthday. It’s an excellent restaurant, superb service. My lamb was amazing and so was my boyfriend’s steak. I will be back, I promise.
I would not recommend. My steak was.dry and rubbery. It didn't taste like a prime cut of meat. Sides and drinks were good but I've had better steak from the grocery store.
Incredible food, drinks, and atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend
We had the wagyu A5 beef for $185, along with fish and s couple of filets. The meat was cooked well but poorly seasoned. The Brussel sprouts were the best thing we tasted. Wouldn’t recommend or return personally.
We had a romantic table, great service and amazing steaks. We had the bone-in filet and it was delicious. You won’t be disappointed.
The whole experience was outstanding! The restaurant is beautiful, and the steak is amazing!!
One of the hidden gems in Boston. They take steak and raise it up a notch! It is pricey but well worth it. Wine list is terrific also. And if you like Bananas Foster, it is the best one I have had. Truly worth the trip and the prices!
The best food I've tasted so far in Boston! Lovely restaurant, amazing service. Perfect for a date night or group of friends.
We came here on Christmas Eve. The food was great as usual but the service was slow. I had the Cornish Hen and my husband had steak. We shared the broccoli and mashed potatoes which were both excellent. There drinks are great.
This was one of the worst dining experience we have ever had. An anniversary Brunch we will not forget and not in a good way. Upon making the reservation we informed the hostess even during confirmation that it was for an anniversary. Not one mention of a happy anniversary throughout the entire experience. From the beginning the hostess offered complementary bottled water or juice or coffee. We were charged $11 for the bottle of water. I do not mind paying for bottled water but do not note that it is complementary at the beginning of the meal. We waited some time for our server with lack of knowledge of the menu. It did not help he had no personality looked disheveled and smelled of alcohol. We ordered Cinnamon Buns and Dumplings to start that were absolutely divine. We ordered the most expensive steak on the menu thinking it would be absolutely amazing (porterhouse). We asked for the steak to be cooked medium well. It came rare to medium rare. When dining out to luxurious steakhouse you would think that we could get the steak cooked to our liking. Having to pick up the steak with our bare hands and place on another plate for it to be re-cooked is unacceptable. The whole steak should have gone back and been re-cocked having to spend $60. We asked for the leftover cinnamon buns to be packaged up to go and we never received them back. Upon taking the cinnamon buns away from the table the waiter stuck his thumb directly into the cinnamon buns not picking them up on the plate. This is a horrific experience spending our anniversary together with a gift certificate we received for Christmas. I would definitely like to be contacted.
Great night, thank you mooo!
Thank you for a wonderful evening
What a disappointing lunch at Moo the other day. Normally the food and service are outstanding, but I wouldn’t use that word to describe either at my most recent lunch. The hostess was listless and tried to seat us at a tiny table next to one of the few other parties in the restaurant, which was almost empty. The rolls, normally piping hot and freshly baked, tasted like they had been sitting around for a while. My grass-fed steak, normally one of the best in the city, was tasteless and not cooked with any expertise. Our waiter was fine, but the usual warm welcome was lacking from most of the staff. I really hope this was a one-off bad day for the restaurant because it’s normally one of my favorites and a place where I don’t mind spending exorbitant sums because the meal is worth it.... however, if I have another experience like this one I would not return.
Worst service I’ve had in a very long time. Server was rude and lacked tact. Food was far too salty.
Will not dine here again.
My favorite restaurant in Boston.
Great meal, excellent staff.
That staff was very friendly the food was delicious. This is a Christmas dinner with my friend that we both look forward to every year and never disappointed.
Mooo was an occasional dining spot to celebrate something special as the elegance was second to none!
From start to finish a truly wonderful dining experience. The service was spot on and attentive. Management came by the table to check in. Plates arrive and were cleared at appropriate times. The steaks were cooked perfectly. And bravo to my biggest pet peeve....our waters were never empty. We all drink a lot of water. And the water glasses never even got close to being empty. It’s a true sign of a well run restaurant.
