We arrived on time for our reservation but it took 35 mins before being seated. After being seated it took 45 minutes
to get our appetizers, one of which came out cold. We ordered 2 filet mignons well done (butterflied) and one came out medium. The over experience was far from the Morton standard. Will not return!
Glad to see them open again, come on by, you'll be glad you did.
Love this place!!!!
First Time at this Location. Great Service and Ambience!
Great back private booth and a friendly server, the wine was delicious, perfectly cooked shrimp, and melt in your mouth steak. Will be back soon.
I was a little upset as my steak was over cooked. They retuned it to the chefs but was unable to enjoy my food with my boyfriend. As his steak was cooked correctly.
Been going to Morton’s for at least ten years in many different locations and it has never let me down grade A+ place to go for any occasion.
Tasty food and overall nice experience considering it was a busy valentine's day. Arrived 15min early and had to wait a little bit but were seated close to our reservation time. An aspect that was very disappointing was the hostesses and front desk staff, who were not cordial or attentive. Of note, I received several calls (prior to the reservation) to confirm the appointment and the latest one (received one hour before the reservation) the staff had a brusque tone. Also, upon arrival, there were several staff at the front desk but they seemed overwhelmed with orders and other guests and no one seemed to notice our arrival. After a few minutes, I approached one lady who upon noticing me simply stared at me instead of welcoming to the restaurant or asking how she could help. Aside from this uncordial welcome, which is unusual for Morton's, the rest of the evening was pleasant. Our serves was friendly and generally attentive. The one issue with service was that the server initially did not disclose/share the information/menu about the valentine's day special. We were only given the regular menus. After asking about it, the server did bring another menu with the special. The food was tasty and the rest of the service was fine. Despite these hiccups, the evening was pleasant but in my experience with Morton's, the attentiveness and courtesy could have been better.
They make wait 45 min , by mistake, and the food wasn't that good , the steak was dry .
The waitress was wonderful! The wait was a little long for the food but was expect for Valentine’s Day! My steak wasn’t cook the way that I wanted and when I sent it back it was put back the broiler and still came back not the way that I like it. The Au Gratin Potatoes was tasty.
As expected, food was good and our server was very friendly and knowledgeable
Came here for a birthday, had a reservation for 6:30 and still we’re not seated until after 7. Waitress was pleasant but very inattentive. She did not bring bread to the table and at one point we didn’t see her for over 30 minutes - she got orders wrong and also tried to pour a beer into my water. Food is good but overpriced. Would not recommend, go to J Gilberts or another steakhouse instead.
We were celebrating Valentine's Day, and I was looking forward to The dining experience. However, too much of my disappointment my Morton's visit didn't meet my expectations. Our crab appetizers were served cold, and we had to request that they be reheated. My Ribeye was dry, and it was warm at best, was not cooked as requested. I made the wait staff aware of it, and all they offer me was to bring me some Au jus to pour over top of it. Service was poor; at a restaurant of this caliber, we expected personal service. Not, I take your order and move on to serve another table. I don't mind paying for quality service and a great dining experience. But this was not it. I simply paid the bill and left, vowing never to return. Thank you for helping me choose Ruth Chris Steak House or the Capital Grille in the future.
Very good place to eat food was delicious very good customers service nice and clean environment the waitress was very nice and friendly I would recommend this restaurant to family and friends thanks a lot I will be coming back 😀😀😀
Great good and service, the restaurant was cold.
We went to restaurant week and our anniversary. The service was awful to begin with. They sat us right in front of the kitchen and the staff was talking loudly, making jokes, and acting unprofessionally the entire time. Our waiter seemed to be moving in slow motion. We began dining at 8:30 and we’re still not done my midnight because the waiter kept forgetting to put in our order. We ordered the steaks to be cooked at medium temperature and received them well done. It took them about 30 minutes to bring us the new steaks. Then after we were done eating the waiter “forgot” to put in the desserts we had ordered at the beginning of the night. We waited another 30 minutes. Then when the check came it was completely wrong. They charged us 4 times the restaurant week price per person ($55 four times when only two persons dined. They also charged us for a bottle of wine when we only got one glass. They charged us extra for desserts that were included in the restaurant week price. The manager corrected the check and gave us some money off the check but it was truly an awful experience. Please spend your hard earned money somewhere else.
Ed was great. They ran out of the Primal Cut Cabernet but he managed to get me an even better brand.
Morton’s salad, pork chop and creamed spinach made for a perfect meal.
Our server was wonderful. She was professional, courteous and attentive. Not to mention the meal was delightful!! Yes! We will be BACK!! I only wish my memory would allow me to remember our server’s name!!
All staff that we came in contact with were professional and inviting.
Packed house—as authorized via COVID standards—and still excellent on all counts. Pablo did a great job as did everyone I encountered this evening.
Food was perfect.
The food was awesome. Service was awesome. My husband and myself have been there a few times & the staff is always very pleasant & remember us. No complaints here...
Love the food. Didnt care to much for two serves working on a table of two . Our food took a little while surprisingly but the atmosphere made us forget about the wait
This restaurant in my neighborhood recently reopened after months of renovation. I was excited to be able to go there again but I've been very disappointed. The service is very spotty, it can range from amazing to amateurs depending on who is on duty that night. The food is consistently good but rarely lives up the matching prices. My biggest complaint was in the ambience. I've been there 4 times since it reopened and each time the lighting has been overly bright. I've asked if they can lower the lights but I get a different excuse each time - "we tried but they're messed up", "the person that knows how to do that isn't here", "we had an electrical issue today and they're waiting for someone to fix it." I observed other people changing tables to try and get out from under the spotlight they were seated under. Another annoyance: they have a small bar area with a few tables but have a total of 4 televisions - one on each of the opposing walls and two behind the bar. Very distracting and not at all conducive to dining. What used to be a subdued and clubby atmosphere is now like a Buffalo Wild Wings.
My final issue was just how shabby the furniture was. I had assumed that with the renovation the furniture would be new. No such luck. The overly bright lighting actually highlights the flaws and I've attached photos of two of the chairs at my table.
Not sure if I'll be going back here. There's a McCormick and Schmick's and a Ruth's Chris also in the neighborhood and I'd prefer either one of them over the "new" Morton's.
I loved it and it was my first time eating at Morton’s my crab cakes were delicious!!!!!
Celebrated my sister 28th birthday, we had a private room. Service was amazing. Omg the food was great!
They always have great service. I selected a wine off the sommelier's list, but the last bottle was sold only moments before. The manager came to my table, apologized, and recommended another wine. Although it was less expensive than the wine I had originally chosen, the recommended bottle was excellent! Also, the new "bacon steak" appetizer was extremely delicious. Watch out -- it is filling.
Food was cold and server was horrible. I asked for a manger but the manger didn’t help really at all.
Thanks for a really great evening. First time I've been back since the latest remodel. The place looks great. Food and service definitely top tier.
I loved the Dc location so much but indoor dining is not allowed at the moment so we decided to try the Arlington location. It took almost two hours to get food and once we finally got the food it was warm as if it had been sitting. The ambience was beautiful and they did have a big party, however we could hear other tables complaining. I hope to come back one day with a better experience.
The reservation began with the host informing us “we have no place for your jackets” which then we were escorted to the bar as we waited 15 minutes past our reservation when the restaurant had plenty of open tables.
We arrived to our table where there were black stains on the table cloth. The floors looked as if they had not been cleaned in a week.
The wait staff was kind but inattentive. Multiple times we attempted to gain the waiter’s attention and weren’t visited for a time of about 25 minutes.
The food was okay but the Brussels sprout appetizer was soggy and bland. The filets seemed frozen and not well seasoned. For Morton’s price we received an Outback or Chili’s quality.
I would not recommend to friends or family and I hope management does turn things around.
We had 2 tables get up and walk out without paying sitting near us. They cursed at the GM and it was horrible to behold. Just terrible.
The service was excellent! Thanks.
Very, very nice. The burger is unbelievable. Huge patty great accompaniments, fries are real good.
Service continues to be exemplary.
Asia was great as was the entire Morton’s team. Pork chop was excellent as always. Oysters were amazing. A delightful evening.
Fantastic as always.
Terrific food and great service with Aysia. Morton's remains the best of the steak chains.
The food came out late and cold twice you should not serve stack cold
Dinner was very good. The lobster Mac & cheese was cooked a little too long but it was still enjoyable. The truffle fries weren’t the best. The ribeye was cooked to perfection and tasted great. Our server did a pretty good job of making sure all of our needs were met.
We arrived 5 minutes early and was not seated until 30 minutes after scheduled reservation.
We ordered a bottle of champagne but waited nearly 30 minutes to receive it, because they had not been ‘chilled’... and then we were pressed several times to finish due to restrictions.
Our waitress was pleasant, but seemed overwhelmed. She told us she was from restaurant in DC but came over to help? Considering all things going on pandemic, this is understood but also concerning.
Silver lining was the lady Manager who pleasantly checked on us regularly and accommodated best she could so that we could finish up our celebratory drinks and as always, the exceptional food, the real reason I often choose Morton’s.
