    The service was really great! The food was just okay, it may have been an off night we’ve been here before and the food was very good. It was really busy and we sat outside under the tent, the noise level was really high, we could barely hear each other at the table.

    Service here is very fast. The food was good but I did feel very rushed. I was seated immediately on arriving at 7:30. Lovely waitress came to my table without hesitation. After that it was just too rushed. Our waitress came to the table twice to take our order in the first 10 minutes and we hadn’t even had the menus open yet. When our salads arrived, we had less than five minutes before suddenly the entrées were on the table. We were on a high top in the bar, so there was barely room to leave them. when the waitress brought the bill before we had finished our dessert, she stated that there’s no rush, but then just stood there after an awkward pause she pushed the bill towards me, so I laughed and dug out a credit card. The whole experience of our fine dining evening had us out the door in 53 minutes , the food was good and the ambience was nice. It is quite loud with a fun vibe, but the staff were literally running. All of them.

    Unfortunately a miss for me. For easy reading I'll separate the good from the not so good. Good: Service was great! We sat and immediately were brought water, and quickly after our server attended to us and took our drink orders and appetizer. He was attentive and timely with our requests throughout the evening. Ambiance was nice. A dimly lit tent with heaters for a romantic setting. We sat near the water which was cooler than if you were to sit away from it, as expected. Menu is traditional Italian for the most part which is very nice. Wine was nice, although the wine tasting ritual was not performed. Not so good: Food. Unfortunately, each dish was a miss. Arancini were bland. Risotto, not quite cooked thoroughly for the creaminess. Lamb shank, did fall off the bone, but lacked flavor. And the Carbonara... it was a traditional Italian carbonara but the pancetta or this case, guanciale, was burned which unfortunately made the entirety of the dish taste burnt. As well as the noodles, also undercooked like the risotto. There is al dente, and undercooked, and both items were undercooked. I was very excited to find an Italian restaurant with a traditional Italian menu as most Italian Restaurants are more American-Italian. I hope the review encourages the chef to take more pride in his dishes and quality check items frequently. To pay $24+ for meals and the quality of the food be poor is just very disappointing.

    Excellent lamb shank with meat falling right off the bone. Wonderful Margherita pizza with ove brick smoky flavor. Outstanding homemade pasta and well balance sauces. This is a great place to come celebrate special occasions since the atmosphere is very chic And pretty. Kudos to the waiters for a perfect service!

    Extremely noisy in outdoor plastic covered space. Way too much vinegar in the Beet salad. Terrible. Service friendly but slow. Server did not the difference between latte and cappuccino. But he was very nice and tried to accommodate us. The jalapeños in with the fried calamari, shrimp and pickles should have been left out of the mix. Only 2 shrimp. What about more? But shrimp was fresh and delicious. Calamari ok. Pasta too Aldente but tomato sauce excellent. Pork belly too fatty and soggy. Not crisp like bacon as described. Bread good but not enough olive oil drizzled. We won’t go back for a while.

    Enjoyable experience. Food was good although I would love to see a few more vegetarian choices. Maybe do a vegetarian Arancini? Manager was friendly and checked on us. Our server was polite, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Will return for sure. Thank you!

    Food was delicious, server was curteous and attentive. The only complaint was the bread didn’t come with olive oil for dipping. Had to ask for it. Also it was very hot under the heater.

    The restaurant had a nice, instagramable aesthetic, but that's about it that was good about Mulino. The charcuterie board was...fine, but the main course was disappointing. I ordered the carbonara, which lacked flavor and depth. What's more, the carbonara sauce was more like a soup, which I just didn't enjoy. My partner got the salmon special with pesto pasta. Again, the sauce was more of a soup than a sauce and lacked any good flavor. If the only thing you are interested in is the aesthetics of the restaurant you go to, Mulino certainly has that. But there are far better places for actual good and tasty Italian food in Raleigh.

    Overall a good experience and we would go back. Was a little annoyed because we reserved a high top and they didn't save one for our reservation. It was basically take the regular table and that's it. If you have a reservation and on it they ask regular table or high top, then the restaurant should make sure they set aside what the reservation requested.

    One of the best meals we have had in a long time! Service was excellent (Brandon was our server). The scallop appetizer was a favorite. I had the gnocchi and my husband had the lasagna. We ended the evening with the hazelnut tartufo and it was out of this world. You can tell everything was made fresh and with the highest quality ingredients. We will definitely go back!

    We did not feel very welcome because of the front door Host he seemed to have no interest in checking us in and showing us to our table, there was no greeting he needed someone else to come find our reservation which he had scrolled right past. I had specifically requested to not give us a corner table when I made the reservation. But this Host (guy in the blue shirt) took us straight inside past the bar and kitchen into some corner room where only one other table was occupied and looked pretty much cut off from rest of the restaurant. The waiter who was serving us was pretty nice we told him that we want to change the table and he very politely and quickly got us a table in the main dining room of the restaurant. It was supposed to be a nice birthday dinner but thanks to the lack of hospitality and respect by your front door host our evening was ruined before it even began. Even though the ambience and food was good I will not return to a place where all people are not treated with the same level of respect.

    We've been here before and had dinner on the patio - that was a more enjoyable dinner. The food was decent, not great, but the atmosphere was unpleasant - it was so loud in the tiny brick room we could barely hear each other talk. The music kept skipping or turning off and on. This is a better spot for a larger group than an intimate date night.

    A truly pleasurable dining experience. The ambiance was spectacular. I honestly didn't even feel like I was in Raleigh. Service was impeccable and the food was amazing. My new favorite Italian spot!
