We only got the guacamole and chips for food. They were just okay. I ordered the strawberry margarita because I read good reviews on it. It was indeed good. It wasn’t really that busy but we were also there 30 mins before closing so we may need to try it again some other time. We left and went somewhere else to eat.

Googled restaurants in the area of The National Mall and this came up highly rated. Got a last minute early reservation. Loved the margaritas, guacamole, chips, tacos and black beans. Staff was very attentive without rushing us. Would definitely recommend and also return next time in DC.

We ate at an outdoor table, which was perfect considering that the weather was perfect as well. All of the food was great (quesadilla, guacamole, tacos, flan) as was the margarita. Our server Javier is one of the best servers I have ever experienced. He kept asking if there was anything we needed while not hovering. My Canadian tablemate said it was the best Mexican food she had ever eaten. All in all it was an awesome experience. Bravo Todd English! (I miss Olives....)

We made a reservation based on a friend’s recommendation and MXDC was phenomenal. They accommodated all our last minute requests from increasing our party size and giving us one of the booths :) We loved all of the tasty food and the great margaritas. Some of the highlights were the branzino, chipotle pasta and we also shared the paella. My boyfriend and our friends from out of town were all impressed by the restaurant and all of the staff members were very friendly. Thank you for the wonderful experience and we will definitely be coming back soon!!!

I met a small group of friends for my birthday. We arrived a bit early but all the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was tasty, timely, well presented, and the service spot on. I certainly appreciated the dessert on the house! MXDC is a really good DC location and has a great ambiance, which adds to the outstanding food (and can't forget the drinks) and service!

First walked in there was no one to greet us. She was busy walking around, I stood there for about 10 minutes before she even came over. And I had a reservation as well. She finally came over and then we waited another 7 mins while they cleaned a table off. Food wasn’t that great, ambiance was on point

Excellent modern take on Mexican cuisine!! Loved their habanero salsa. Restaurant decor is beautiful and staff was very attentive and friendly. We had the paella and it was amazing. The queso fundido was also a great starter. Many margaritas and mezcal cocktails to try!!

I had shrimp fajitas and they were not good. Tacos were tiny. Guacamole was good but small. No free chips. Mango margarita was delicious. Loved decor. Very busy and noisy for Monday night. I would not go again based on food.
