    It was very cold in the restaurant. The food was not good and tasty. They used to have the best fresh salmon in Denver. It might still be fresh but not cooked to my liking. Wines are too expensive. Some of the items must be to show case the chef but not what people want to eat. I was very disappointed. We will not return.

    The old menu was heads and shoulders above the current one. They still have my favorite chopped salad or I wouldn’t be back. Our waitress was trying, but we both felt like she was annoyed with us taking our time to order / eat. Brought to go boxes before we even requested them. Food was good; fine really. The new tuna poke recipe lost all of its original greatness. Will not order again. Drinks were great. Very disappointing as narrative used to our go to spot for the last few years

    I have been to narrative many times/regular basis and I am hoping tonight was a one-off. From the moment that we entered for our reservation, we waited for a long time for a hostess to show up despite there being many other waitstaff and bar staff just standing around (it was not busy at all. Maybe 5 tables w guests and a handful around the bar). When we eventually were sat, we were sat immediately next to another guest when there were many many tables available. The food was good (we ordered two appetizers), but not amazing like it usually is. We actually left to have our entrees at another restaurant it was so lackluster.

    We have been to the Narrative several times and always had a great experience. This was my wife’s birthday and it was a pretty big let down. Our appetizers took nearly 25 minutes for bread and the lobster corn dogs. The bread was rather stale. The main course was the steak and chicken. The chicken was very dry and the steak was cold. We also ordered the Cesar salad which was delivered to the table after our main course was delivered. Generally when I make reservation for birthdays or anniversary’s the staff will deliver a desert or special item. Nothing. Very disappointed this time. Certainly not worth the money we spent.

    We went for dessert. We ordered the tiramisu and it was served to us in a coffee cup. The cup had just a little bit of tiramisu in the bottom and it was full of whipped cream. So it was basically a cup of whipped cream.

    My black Manhattan was not really a traditional Black Manhattan as your bar was 'out of' Amaro, and it was served on the rocks, which I did not order (I have never been served a black manhattan on the rocks). Had I known in advance, I would not have ordered it. My daughter and I ordered the bread basket, but it was never delivered. The food was good, but not nearly commensurate with the price. The service should have been better - especially considering the fact that the reastaurant was almost empty. There is no ambiance - due to all the hard suraces and cold to non-existing decor incl. white fake books on a white wall, no placemats or table cloths, etc. - it's an uninviting environment. Prior to our visit, a riend recommended the restaurant, but I would not dine there again nor breakast, as I found the breakast menu lacking.

    I’ve had Narrative on my list for quite some time. While it is well designed and aesthetically pleasing, it was an overall disappointment. Our waitress clearly wanted to be anywhere but there. Our food took almost 50 minutes to come out, and when we asked about it we got a flat “it’ll be up soon they are busy” and she walked away. We didn’t ever get a drink menu. She dropped our check on the table without ever saying a word. The food was just okay. I had brought friends from out of town and was just overall very disappointed.

    Overall it was a great experience. The service was really good. The grilled sturgeon and the wine were excellent. My picky daughter actually ate most of the sliders she ordered. The tiramisu was a bit different than I’m used to (the actual espresso bean bits caught me off guard). The 10 yr port dessert wine was not something I would order again. But all in all I was pretty happy with the experience

    I love narrative, but I was disappointed about the massive menu overhaul. Only thing I still loved available was the chopped salad, everything else was different :( so disappointing. Please bring back the loaded hummus and tuna !!!

    I had the omelet with avocado, Boursin, and ham. Very good. My husband ordered a fruit bowl that was literally a ramekin with some fruit (1 strawberry, a couple blueberries, and a couple raspberries) -- quite underwhelming and probably just a miscommunication in the back. Our server immediately brought him another one without us saying anything about it all and was so attentive.

    expensive food that is not very good. very clearly a restaurant meant for travelers or businessmen who only care about impressing business partners or who only want to get food into their bodies.

    Narrative uses to be one of our favorites. I’m afraid it has gone downhill. More limited menu and service is just ok. It’s not the standout it used to be. They need to reboot again.

    We have enjoyed Narrative for several years and went back last night for the first time in a few months. We were surprised to see that prices had risen, but perhaps that's understandable given the rising costs of everything. But the quality of our food was not great. I had an eggplant entree that had little flavor, and priced at $32 it was really a miss.

    Extensive wine menu. Several choices for cocktails, all unique. The restaurant itself is not big, very clean and with very high ceilings, it is a bit frantic on noise. Clearly, there is a very good chef in that kitchen. I had a salmon dish that was incredibly imaginative in its presentation and equally delicious and although it was a good portion size for me, it was not your usual big hunk of salmon. Another in our party had the Jaq burger which was an overly generous burger with tremendous toppings. The service was very attentive. It is a bit pricey. We ate there for dinner and breakfast. Breakfast was much calmer and a simple avocado toast, while pricey, was elevated to meal status with the addition of tomatoes and arugula plus seasoning. The salmon toast was incredible with a very generous portion of lox atop the cream cheese and spices. Loved breakfast.

Been a regular for years….great food….all gone except for lobster corndogs which are still delicious Server said new chef wanted new menu ??????if it aint broke……fried green tomatoes ceaser deviled eggs shrimp and grits short rib all gone We had brick chicken bland and puny portion for $35 Spouse had salmon which was nothing compared to prior menu salmon offerings Sturgeon as headliner????puleez 2 stars for great service and parking Fix menu/chef we’ll be back but not on this regime

    Nothing memorable about the food. Our service was horrible. I think our waitperson forgot to input our order because over the course of 45 minutes to get our appetizer (burrata) she checked in with us multiple times but would make weird comments, not about checking where the food was at, but like “let me see if they got your order”. She may have been new, but without that information she just looked like she didn’t know what she was doing and/or the restaurant is extremely slow. I don’t think the second one is the case as there were less than 10 full tables at 9:00 AM on a Sunday. Not a great first experience at Narrative, we will likely not be back.
