The service was ok. Appetizers - one out of the 2 was wonderful but the other was not good at all. Main- surf and turf Steak was way beyond well done, it was hard and dry and I asked for medium. Lobster was cold and rubbery. My husband got the ribeye, he wanted medium-rare and he got well. Sides were either too salty or no flavor. Their was no in-between. No I would not return, nor would I recommend. I’ve been to better steakhouses

This restaurant surpassed all of my expectations. I reluctantly ordered the pork chop which most restaurants will overcook until it’s dry as leather. Not so here, the pork chop was cooked perfectly with each bite as good as the last. The complimentary warm sourdough bread with lots of butter and the relish tray were very flavorful and added greatly to the overall experience. No question that I will be a return customer and soon.

I like the old steak house a lot better. the new steak has no signs how to find it. stuck near 2 bars , which made it smell of smoke

Nice and quiet even though it is in a casino, easy decor, the food was cooked perfect, would recommend the sauce on the side if ordering the halibut. The sercvice was terrific.

I have been going to Nevada Steak since it opened. First, Lynette, Patrick, Holden and the majority of the staff are amazing representatives for the Tamarack. When Nevada Steak, first opened it was amazing food at a very fair price. However, they have made some negative changes. First, you used to get a Spinach salad or cup of soup with your meal. You could upgrade to a Caesar or Wedge for $5.00, that was reasonable. Now they have done away with the Spinach salad and if you want a Caesar or Wedge salad it cost $11.00, that is not reasonable. Now, they put out these relish trays, which are a waste......they defiantly cost way more then giving a Spinach salad and letting people upgrade for $5.00. Nevada Steak in the beginning, set themselves up as one of the best steakhouses for a very fair price. They need to reconsider the removal of the Spinach salad....bring that back and give people the choice to upgrade for a reasonable price. A group of us go to Nevada steak monthly, our group is between 5 and 8 people. There are entrées, cocktails and a bottle of wine. But, several of them, are discussing changing our venue based on these changes. I have noticed a great drop-off in the number of people eating there in the last several months, since these changes took place. Please remember, we are not in New York, Chicago, San Francisco or Las Angeles....I hope the management will reconsider these changes. I don't recommend Nevada Steak to friends as highly as I used to.

Hadn't visited in over a year and decided to go again because we read of a "new and improved" menu. It's true...now there is a relish tray served before the meal and great menu choices. Our table ordered oysters on the half shell for an appetizer in addition to lobster bisque and the wedge salad. Our entrees included the salmon and halibut in addition to the chicken parm...all were delicious and the portion size was enough to provide another meal as a leftover. All in all, the service was excellent and the food matched the service! Would recommend the restaurant to anyone.

The revised menu at Nevada Steak is very good. The addition of the relish tray as a starter is a definite plus for the restaurant. Our server Kathy did an outstanding job with appropriate follow up during the dinner. The only negative was the elimination of the petrale sole on the menu. It is difficult to find this fish in the surrounding area. We will continue to dine at this restaurant frequently.

I come very frequently and enjoy Nevada Steak House. Also an excellent meal, some changes occurred, not for the better. My chicken as well as my friends was almost inedible. My husband’s filet as well as my other friends were delicious, as the both told me. An appetizer tray was so so. Miss the old delicious house salad. Maybe a new chief?

Was greeted and shown to our table immediately upon arrival. Wait staff was very friendly, polite, nice sense of humor and very efficient. The food from their Sunset Menu was delicious! The pork chop dinner was seasoned beautifully, with their home made applesauce, green beans and mashed potatoes. My honey very much enjoyed his skirt steak, cooked medium rare and seasoned to perfection. He enjoyed similar sides, and roasted garlic too! The relish tray which was complimentary was very good, and the the Creme Brulee dessert was divine! Andrew, our waiter, made the meal one to remember with his delightful personality, professionalism and knowledge of the menu. We will most certainly be returning to Nevada Steak, and I would recommend this establishment to all.

Really bummed to see that menu changed. Long-time fan of this restaurant and was so disappointed to see that many of my favorites were gone, and the value had really decreased. Going to have to find a new go-to.

Excellent place. This was our second time there. This time was for my son’s birthday. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was great. I had the filet mignon. This was a better cut than some of the other steakhouses that Ive recently been to. The Nevada Iceberg salad is a meal by itself. It might be better to split it with someone. The dessert menu had good offerings as well. I went with the strawberry lemon cake.

Our last experience here was not great so we wanted to give it one more chance because we have great food and service before. But once again we were let down. $50 filet came with a clove of garlic (the seasonal vegetable??) and potatoes that were subpar. The steak tasted like it was cooked in jet fuel. Such a bummer because it used to be excellent. Probably not going to return.

Always enjoy this steak house. Great quality and generous portions. The menu has now changed and the small salad and vegetables not included with entree, which is a little disappointing. A nice variety of other entrees other than steak. I used to love the sauce on Mary’s chicken entree, and that’s not available any longer. There is an alternative organic chicken dish a friend said was very good. Nice to have a change occasionally, but hope you bring back that delicious sauce! Kathy and Jerry gave us great service.

We went in for the sunset dinner. They have changed the menu and salad is no longer included with the dinner. I ordered the skirt steak. I could hardly chew it it was so tough. The green beans weren't cooked right and the potatoes were runny. Very disappointed!

Its an excellent steak house. Its that sinple. Its everything you want a traditional steak house to be, and its high quality. Service was great. Wine was solid and reasonable prices. I had surf and turf with a baked potato. Out of this world. We will be back.

Recent changes reflect the fact that Nevada Steak has upped its game. The food was spot on, including a delicious calamari steak appetizer, caesar salad, French onion soup (among the best I've had), NY steak cooked to perfection, and a very tasty chicken parmesan. Top that off with a satisfying chocolate pot de creme and a fine bottle of Pinot Noir and you have all the makings of a memorable dinner experience. The service was just right, and if you are seated in one of the back rooms you'll forget that you're inside a casino. Worth another try if you haven't dined here in a while.

We have been there a few times always enjoyed the sunset menu. However Last night they did not have a salad choice instead a relish tray which was awful. Also changed the desert menu instead of the Sunday they change it to a chocolate pudding and a awful cookie. We will not be going back unless they bring back the salad choice and a better desert choice. The vegetables had to much olive oil on them

They really changed their entire menu. We were looking forward to the spinach salad with candied pecans with raspberry vinegrette dressing. That's what I was wanting to go there for. They stopped serving it. The menu is very limited now. Although it was good, I don't think it will be our first choice to take our out - of-town guests anymore. We live here in Reno and raved about Nevada Steak. It's a shame you've decided to change the whole menu as we're disappointed.

The service is very good. We went for the Sunset menu which has a nice variety. The only concern was the skirt steak which had an awesome flavor but was a little tough. The dessert was fabulous.
