The Hokusetsu Brewery on Sado Island in the Sea of Japan has been operated by the Hazu Family Since 1871. The Name "Hokusetsu", or "Northern Snow", was chosen to reflect the ideal sake brewing conditions on the island during the coldest days of winter. Chef Nobu first experienced Hokusetsu sake when his Japanese rock-musician friend brought a bottle to the original Matsuhisa Restaurant in Beverly Hills. Great quality food and selection, would be great if there were more dessert options such as ice cream. The service staff were wonderful but it felt a little short handed as staff were trying to manage many orders. The cooked dishes were delicious. The music could have been a little softer as we struggled to have conversations over the loud volume.

It wasmy first time for lunch at Bobu. The bento box was excellent and I like that you have vegetarian options. Service was as awlaways very good . My guests really appreciate us bringing them to Nobu. I will be frequently coming to Nobu for lunch meetings.

After eating at different Nobu’s around the world this one is my favourite. The ambience is amazing, service is outstanding, food came out promptly but at a perfect pace. Coming from Melbourne where they cram tables in having space to sit and be able to hear our conversation and enjoy our food was just perfect. All of our servers and restaurant team were impeccable. We loved spending our first night in Singapore at Nobu

The only thing that prevented me from enjoying this outstanding restaurant was the extremely loud level of the background music and the fact that my friends and I had to shout at each other when we talked; the rest -food, service, and quality of everything was superb!

Food was very good quality, generous offering and there was a nice touch at the end when they brought out a small cake with a candle for our birthday boy. Service could be improved though -on 2 separate occasions, we had to remind staff 2-3 times about the hot dishes and drinks that we ordered. Ambiance was great -bold prints on ceiling, smart, casual but music perhaps a little too loud for our liking. We will go back again as we really enjoyed the food and place. Hopefully the hiccups in service levels is a once off!

went for the lunch buffet. the highs were really high with this, specifically the black miso cod, the F1 steak, the squid 'pasta', the special sashimis. the toban-yakis were a big miss, with rubbery scallops and chewy beef. everything else was serviceable to decent. the service was really good although they did miss out on two of our orders, and regrettably one was for the F1 steak which we ordered at the start but never came, so we only got to have it near the end. definitely would've gotten more if we got it earlier.

The weekend brunch is very good value for the quality of the food and drinks and if you have a large appetite! Like what others have commented in their reviews, the music is a little too loud, which together with all the chatter from the patrons, made the restaurant rather noisy. The Coco Shiso mocktail was refreshing and delicious and we were happy that the beverages was free flow as part of the Weekend brunch. Very good sushi selection, but I found the sushi rice a little too vinegared for my liking. My favorite dishes from the mains were the Black Cod Miso, Squid "Pasta" and the Seafood Toban Yaki. The F1 Japanese beef steak was a little tough, even though cooked medium rare. The dessert buffet is excellent and the best part of the brunch. Overall, good value and I would recommend Nobu to anyone looking for a good weekend brunch.

Food was delicious and the sushi makers behind the counter were excellent. Obviously Nobu is overpriced-but everyone expects that anyway. The food is very good but is still too expensive but that is the same everywhere. The two issues here were the AC and the lack of service. We sat at the Teppanyaki counter and it was extremely cold. The AC is very low and blasts straight down. When I made a comment to the waitress she laughed and said everyone says that. Strange that if you are aware you wouldn’t fix it or try? We would never ever eat at the counter again and not would all the people I spoke to afterwards. It spoiled the meal. The other issue was service. There just wasn’t enough people. Plates weren’t cleared. My bill took 20 MINUTES TO arrive. Desert took a long time. Waitresses were running around - it wasn’t their fault. For all of the money Nobu makes from the overpriced food I would think you could get a few more waiters or waitresses. Apart from that everything was good. The food is amazing. Well prepared. So tasty. Could eat more and more!
