Not quite like Germany, but a lot better than most German restaurants. We enjoyed it very much and will return soon.

We go to ONY every time we visit my family in state college. We love the variety of menu items which satisfies meat eaters and pescatarians great sandwiches, salads and entrees.

Location of where we were seated wasnt the best, had a constant draft of cold air blowing over us. Our waitress was "attentive" but wasn't very knowledeable or friendly. our food was good and the overall atmosphere here is good, in winter time ask to be sat away from the entrance its very chilly.

This was the first time eating at this restaurant. The service was good and everyone was friendly. The food was also very good and fresh tasting. The portions of the entrees were good, but the portion of the cup of soup was small for $4. I would recommend this place to others and will return as well.

We visited during COVID. Social distancing was enforced well. Our server was great. The food was okay. I'm from NY so I had certain expectations. I ordered Chicken Parm grinder. Not impressed. Breaded chicken with melted cheese. I asked where the sauce was and was told it was under the cheese which meant there was about a tablespoon of sauce on it. I asked for more sauce which they brought. Only okay for us.might go back to try something else once COVID is over.

We really enjoyed our experience. The food was really good and the atmosphere/service were great. Nice beer selection for Octoberfest. We’ll definitely be back to try other items on the menu. Thanks for the great night!

Food was fantastic once we ordered. We ordered 3 different beers and they were all out of the 3 we picked. Plus when we ordered from the Octoberfest menu and we didn't want red cabbage and instead wanted mash potatoes, waitress came back and said they didn't have any mash potatoes? Really? So that was disappointing but overall was a nice place.

Excellent menu although it is heavy on different types of sausages. Those sausage selections are excellent. We had an appetizer and two dinners with different types and loved it all. Highly recommend.

Long wait for the food which then arrived Luke warm. Good menu selection. Salads were very good but special of the day was nothing special. Reservation was honored in a game weekend which was a real plus.

Great for larger gatherings and dinner groups. I'd go back again for sure.

Food was pretty good. Pricing was fairly typical / average. Daily specials apparently only apply to the bar area. Oktoberfest dinner special was priced a little high for what was received. They also hit you for extra condiments (ranch) which I find to be tacky. Overall, it is a decent place.

This was our second time visiting before the PSU game and we were happy to find out that they were celebrating Oktoberfest. The Bavarian Gulash was outstanding. And the beer selection is always good. Our server was better this time than our last visit. I would recommend this place to others.

This was our 3rd visit over the past month. It is one of the most consistent places we have eaten at in State College. The burgers and sandwiches are good at a fair price.

Old New York is go to favorite, especially on busy weekends. If I plan ahead, I can always schedule a reservation even for a large party. The restaurant offers a variety of foods ~ delicious appetizers, salads, sandwiches and entrees. The German specialty foods are wonderful! Our experience has always included a friendly server and prompt food prep. Overall, an excellent dinner out!

Our family goes to Olde NY about once a month because of their great selection and style of foods. It is also very reasonably priced. Never had a bad meal there.

Stopped by on our way out town for the first time. We had a nice meal, good gluten free choices, waitress was pleasant and attentive. Had wings to begin - turned out to be a great choice! Not breaded, yet gf, crispy and yummy! The onion soup is delicious, as were the salads we had. Definitely will go back next time we are in town!

First time here and it won’t be our last. One of us had the “ build your own sandwich,” another had the bratwurst entree, and I had the Reuben. All of the food was very good.

We have consistent great meals coupled with super service. One comment was our table had beer/liquor selection but had to asked for wine selection. No big deal but routinely all are included in one menu

Old New York has good food in a pleasant atmosphere and while it does a steady business, it's often a great place to eat on busy weekends (football, Arts Festival, graduation). I've never had to wait in line for a table.

This is one of my husband’s favorite restaurants. And since it was father’s day.... we go there often.

We enjoyed our dinner at Olde New York. Not much ambience, just a big bar. Menu had something for everyone. My husband really liked the Jaegerschnitzel and I liked the greek salad with chicken.

Even on the busy Mothers day we visited it was quite enjoyable. Service was impeccable and food was delightful.

We eat here about once per year, and are pleased with the consistently good food, large portions, and reasonable prices. During this visit, our waitress was especially attentive and our dinners were ready in about 10 minutes, despite the large crowd. Only downside is the noise, making it difficult at times for conversation. The open ceiling and floor plan, and tile floors, discourage an intimate atmosphere. Otherwise, one of the best restaurants in Centre Co.
