We had been to Olive & Angelo about a year ago and had a very nice meal. This time the meal was frankly very disappointing. Bruschetta was on very thick hard toast which was almost inedible. No salt and pepper. After our entrees we waited almost an hour for our ravioli and duck fat roasted potatoes. The ravioli was supposed to be filled with spinach and ricotta!! The actual ravioli pasta was tough - we could only find ricotta inside. The ravioli were almost tasteless! The potatoes were very good. We will not be returning. Its a shame as the location and ambience is very good.

This is our go-to restaurant for gluten free vegetarian choices. The food is always delicious. They happily accept our doggie. We highly recommended Olive and Angelo to our friends.

Very poor. Bottle of wine. One overcooked lasagna served in an airplane dish. One cold pasta dish. Nice garlic bread. $200 absolutely rubbish.

Thank you to the staff for doing an outstanding job looking after us on Sunday 26th November. They were always checking on our water, clearing tables and we were never left searching for someones attention. We were hosting some high profile Spanish Executives and they thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance, food and service. Thank you. Regards Nicky

I visited Olive and Angelo in Brisbane for lunch yesterday, hoping for an authentic Italian experience. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing; our waiter disappeared, and we had to request to stand up ourselves to request the second course. The worn-out, broken chairs didn't contribute to a pleasant atmosphere. The food was ok, but there was way too much garlic, I couldn’t taste real Italian flavours, the portions were small and overpriced. Our booking was at 1.30pm and we were rushed to order as the kitchen was closing at 2pm (it days 2.30pm online) even though after rushing our order, they kept allowing new costumer in for the following hours as well as serving the big function next to us! As Italians, we were let down by the lack of authenticity. The absence of a warm welcome, coupled with being seemingly overlooked due to a nearby function, left us feeling neglected. It fell short of the anniversary celebration we had envisioned. Will not go back or recommend to anyone. Do not define yourself as an authentic italian restaurant!

The lady who greeted us (if you can even call it that) just before 5pm on the 21st of November was extremely rude. Not just one time either there were multiple Incidents. Firstly we arrived 8 mins before 5pm which was opening time. We didn’t think it would be such an issue to arrive slightly early. If the gate had been locked we would have been happy to wait outside. We opened the gate and went in not expecting to be served any food or drinks until 5pm of course but the lady (with a foreign accent not Australian) came up to us and said loudly “WE WRE NOT OPEN” and we stood out in the rain and waited until past 5pm to be attended to. The least we expected was to be told please take a seat in the meantime and we will come take your order once 5pm comes around- that would have been no issue. Next incident we request a high chair- she goes and gets it. She proceeds to put it in the aisle they walk up and down, we go to seat our baby in it and then she rolls her eyes and looks frustrated at us and says no we need to move it it’s in the way of where we walk down to deliver food… SHE WAS THE ONE WHO SET IT UP THERE, we did not. So why was it such an issue for her when it was her mistake. And to add to this there was no one else dining in the restaurant the whole time we were there… so it would never have been in the way anyway. Next incident, we asked kindly if we could have some iced water as the water was a horrible room temperature, she said rudely no we don’t do that- and so we just asked for ice in a seperate glass then.. why was it SO hard for her to put some ice which you clearly had there on hand into our water jug or glasses. Very strange. Never experienced such rudeness in a restaurant before. Lastly my parents pasta was hard and undercooked, my Dads Ravioli had no flavour. I will say however the margarita pizza was lovely We didn’t feel welcome and we will never come back and let anyone we know to avoid it like the plague. Such a rude lady

Tables are cramped and way too close together, noisy. Waited over an hour and an half for the Starter and then got the Starter and Main right after each other. People who came in after us were served and had already finished before we even got anything. Poor customer service and even had to wait 20min for the check just so we could leave. Food was good but not worth the wait and bad service.

Unfortunately there was major roadworks going on outside and the noise was terrible. Not the restaurants fault but definitely affected the atmosphere. Staff were amazing. I found my pasta dish to be quite soggy so didn’t eat lots but my friends pizza was AMAZING!

I'm really sorry to say that our experience on this occasion was very disappointing. The service was extremely slow and to the point non existent, we actually found this last time too, however the food was good, so we chose to come back. BUT, this time not only was the service unacceptable, the food was bland and not nice at all. I know they were super busy, but that shouldn't prevent yummy food. Vegan Ragu and the Zucca tasteless and the Focaccia was burnt, very sad to say. I think we will be passing on Olive & Angelo for a while.

6 of the 8 of us ordered the banquet. The food delivery was really disjointed. No rhyme nor reason for the quantity of the shared dishes. One bowl of olives for 6 people for example. Only one carbonara for 6 people. Dessert was 2 tiramisu and 1 brûlée between 6, very strange and hard to share with no additional bowls. No spoons for the pasta. The other couple who ordered off the menu were given their mains while we had our entrees. They then had to request the forgotten bruschetta. Staff were busy meaning we had to call them to get drunk service. Overall very expensive for what we got. Disappointing.!

Highly recommend. Beautiful atmosphere with the open air dining and fairy lights. Great menu with lots of pasta, pizza, entrees, mains and desserts to choose from. Excellent service, the wait staff were there when you needed them but not intrusive or rushing you. The only negative I can think of was the table was a little small for four people to fit all the delicious pizza, pasta and yummy cocktails. Thanks for a wonderful birthday dinner.

It was a nice atmosphere and good service until some loud table neighbours started talking. Food a little over priced for the quality. We were put near a very loud table where one person used the f word every second word spoken. Another table placed next to them was moved shortly after.

Pizza was tasty. Wine was good. Great vibe…love the open-air courtyard setting. The vegetarian (pumpkin & walnut) pasta was disgusting. We’re not fussy when it comes to food but that dish was inedible.

We had a lovely family dinner to celebrate my daughters end of high school. The food was of a high quality and the wait staff were attentive. The ambience in the courtyard/garden dining area was beautiful. The food winners were the pizza and Lasagna.

It was disappointing today for our family birthday lunch occasion. We went there specifically for the beef, it came out as the 1st picture, this compares to the 2nd picture which I had back in May. difference is obvious. Additionally, today’s price is $280 for 1.4 kg compared to last time around $120 for 1kg. I Hope the restaurant takes this seriously , it should have maintained the reasonable price, good quality not just only the taste but also the presentation of each dish. To win the customers is not easy nowadays because of lots of competitions, but to keep the customers is even harder, as it requires persistent continuous best services, food quality and reasonable prices as to the restaurant’s level.

The entree selection is good. The main course, dessert and drinks selection was very good. Our mains were nice but could have had more seafood. The prices were at the upper end which was disappointing as we feel the cost was too high for our liking. Olive and Angelo was a nice place with good service, a good selection and nice food but a little expensive for a couple of out of Towner.

Overall a very disappointing experience . meals were overpriced . Marinara left us searching for the seafood and vegetarian meal was tasteless . Penne pollo very average. Not offered Parmesan or cracked pepper. And toilet was disgusting
