Great hidden gem in the middle of Mayfair! Will definitely be back.
An excellent set menu which was such good value including 2 glasses of wine. The quality of food and service was excellent.
Food was just amazing. The high quality dishes are a tasty combination of colours and fresh products. However, the service needs to be reviewed: we waited for 20 min before being able to order the tasting menu, we could not order apéritives (the cocktail list was brought but no one took our order), etc... Despite this, a nice experience !
Amazing , wonderful food and service
I do not understand why the owner allows a pary of 5 (3 women and 2 men) disturbs other guests with a
unnatural laud laughter. We came for a nice quit meal. That seems not possible in Omer...
Good food, with friendly and relaxed but professional service.
Absolutely amazing and totally flawless as per usual
This was my second visit to Ormer.
Staff offered a very warm and friendly greeting not at all stuffy. They all appeared to have a good sense of humour and made us feel we were the only diners in the restaurant. Attention to detail was exemplary.
The food was interesting, tasty and well presented. Small mark down as the halibut was a bit overcooked and apple crumble could have been improved if the apple was warm and the crumble was more traditional rather than made out of rice.
The wines were good quality
A pleasurable experience and I hope to return again
We went to Ormer Mayfair as part of a trip to London for my wife’s 40th birthday celebrations. The restaurant were made aware of this and made us welcome and wished my wife congratulations on our arrival. The decor and ambiance is fantastic and the food was gorgeous and left us wanting more. There were a few nice touches such as handmade chocolates all delivered with excellent service from the staff. We would definitely return without hesitation.
Visited on a quiet lunchtime so not v atmospheric. Restaurant is downstairs from reception at Flemings Hotel. Elegant decor although tiled floor didn’t help atmosphere when restaurant is quiet. Food was exquisite - beautiful cerviche followed by perfect risotto plus lovely bouillabaisse amuse bouche (presented without explanation of what it was) and gorgeous chocs with coffee. Service generally attentive. Even though we had the 2 course fixed menu, price inc one glass of wine, bottle of water and tea was £50 per head. The food was truly fab (NB small portions) and the staff v professional but on a quiet lunchtime it had the air of a venue for secret assignations!!
I went here for my last night of a two-week vacation and did the set tasting menu. It was phenomenal and the staff was amazing. One of the best meals I’ve ever had and highly recommend
This was my second visit. Went with my daughter this time and we both really had an exceptional meal and overall experience. We have already booked our Christmas visit and are bringing other daughter for the trip on the strength of this wonderful meal. Food and staff brilliant.
We had a fantastic meal. Excellently attended. Great wines around. Dessert: simply divine.
The food is not as nice as the first time I had in Ormer.
Risotto was too salty.
Really great food, quick and careful service, beautiful interiors. And the writers surprised us with a couple of little gifts from the house at the beginning and end of our meal. Very happy with the experience at Ormer, would definitely come back!
Beautiful seasonal menu. Food and wine was absolutely delicious. The Vanilla souffle in particular was absolutely fantastic
Excellent value for money.
We had 3 set lunch menu. All were very good, well executed. Will definitely come back.
Sublime cuisine, classic European service and handsome surroundings! Highly recommend!
I was advised by a friend to go to Omer. What a friend! Omer surpassed expectations on every level. We had just lost one of our Romeo members from the lunch club and his place was dutifully left fully laid. The staff without being over the top, were engaging, considerate and above all respectful of all those dining in the restaurant. I have to say this is a place to come to again. The food was simply superb and the Chef produced mixes of ingredients that constantly delighted us all -oh and our taste buds! The set menu which is often a touch lack lustre was brilliantly put together. I had grouse which was so tender and beautiful set out that I could have packed the Chef into my portmanteau -except I COULD NOT AFFORD HIM! This is one of the best restaurants we have been to in 8 years of dining together. Thank you to all the staff front and back who made our visit so memorable
Some very real and genuine cooking going on here. Fantastic flavours, well constructed dishes with some genuine surprises. The whole place is undersold really, great team working hard to deliver a very well rounded product.
We like best quality food but unfussy and unpretentious menus, the food here is original, imaginative with clean, modern flavours - worth a visit even if the location and venue wouldn’t be your first choice.
Perfection. A perfect dinner, fantastic service, we had the chef tasting menu and we find it delicious, fresh, stunning flavours for our dinner. We will come back.
Our favourite restaurant never fails to deliver. Outstanding food, highlighted by a wonderful 'dessert'. The cheese option (Nottinghamshire Stilton) provided a whole different level of taste sensation! A myriad of flavours.
Phenomenal tasting menu and paired wine tasting.
Hard to know what to say: the food was beautiful but there simply wasn't enough of it. A small amuse bouche kicked things off prettily, but an £18 starter of lobster ravioli offered only one small raviolo; delicious but this portion could usefully have increased to 3 raviolo, or two, at least, at a minimum. Mains repeated the trend: two small pieces of grouse were perfectly cooked but, despite a modest pearl barley and foie gras garnish, were insufficient to whet a hungry appetite. My companion's Dover sole was similarly sized; I wondered how many portions had been derived from the original fish. Again, garnishes were tasty but tiny. There were no sides and I couldn't see that the menu offered any, even at an extra charge. As we waited for our dessert of pineapple souffle, I found myself filling up on some of the tasty sourdough bread- oh dear! The dessert was the only course which I would have regarded as properly sized and it too was delicious. Bill for two, including wine at, I think £43, was £208, including service. Service was impeccable and atmosphere pleasantly buzzy. I ate a number of times at this chef's restaurant Bohemia in Jersey and love his dishes. But paying £208 and ending up hungry just isnt my idea of a fantastic dining experience- perhaps the management will take note!
Great Food and service, we had a great table so could see all that was going on. The staff were spot on and had real personality which added to the experience. There was nothing we could fault and the price willing to pay for a special occasion. Great lobster Ravioli, grouse and Ann loved the Halibut it was delicious.
Absolutely love this restaurant - when in London we always visit for lunch - never disappoints.
Truly superb restaurant with level of service that I think other restaurants will need to aspire to .
Ormer has exceeded and taken the level of service to beyond expectations and i have dined at this establishment on many occasions and have raved about the food and service but now it is the benchmark.
We had the tasting menu which was exceptional and from start to finish it was three hours of bliss we were not even rushed by restaurant as they want you have a amazing experience and journey. We were given a lovely table plenty room and privacy, amazing restaurant manager/Maître d charming throughout and a real gentleman. Great Team credit to Shaun Rankin
This restaurant has just gone into MY top 5. The food excellent, the wine list notable ,excellent, the service cheesy , but again excellent. All in ALL I absolutely would recommend to ANYONE who wants to wow someone on a date night or just enjoy the food with companions or even alone. This place has got everything right. Really enjoyed my second visit to Ormer, Mayfair just as much if not slightly better than the first.
As good as our previous visits. Absolutely delicious food and charming staff.
I have been before and know that the food, staff and ambiance are excellent. It was the first time for three friends with me and they were similarly impressed. We are agreed that the current set lunch is excellent value for money.
Second visit to this place. Love it and highly recommend it!
This has tonne one of the top kitchens in London right now. The menu is small but every dish exquisite. The restaurant suffers from being in „lowerground floor“ of Flemmings hotel and thanks to no table linens lowish ceiling and hard floor, the acoustics are not great. Also there are one or two dishes on the menu, maybe the steak that are Served with something that gives of smoke. Not ideal for closed space on age of smoking ban.
The staff was wonderfully Attentive and the evening was a grand success.
Certainly in my top 3 restaurants that I have dined in in the last 10 years (and we dine out on average once per month). Stunning food and excellent service.
Stylish, cosy environment, very tasty food, even simple dishes were revisited and served as creative alternatives, very attentive service and staff very knowledgeable about the wines.
A wonderful way to celebrate 10 year as a married couple ❤️
Set menu was very good
A la Carte was very poor
However the staff were keen and eager to rectify this which they did
Would return in the future
Lovely restaurant tucked away in a side street hotel. The food was amazing, the service impeccable.
One of the best value top notch lunches in London.
We had booked the special summer lunch with 3 courses and 2 glasses of wine included. My starter was ceviche of scallops for an extra 5 £. Pure theatre and amazingly tasty. My friend had the vegetarian starter of linguine which he assured me was very good. The wine was a very well matched south african chenin blanc
Mains was chalon duck with red currants ...very tasty with a perfect match of a nero de avola from sicily.
I do not have much of a sweet tooth but the dessert of kentish strawberries was simply outstanding and I would have been happy to eat this in a 2 Michelin star restaurant .
Service is attentive , charming and never intrusive.
Highly recommended .
The whole evening was perfect. The staff were attentive, helpful and very knowledgeable. Nothing was too much trouble with them at all. And the food...just wow! Each and every dish was absolutely beautiful (including the bread and butter!) but the star of the show for me was the halibut. Utterly delicious. Thank you to all the staff for an evening to remember.
We were visiting London from Australia. I had heard and read much about the cooking and use of seasonal ingredients at Ormer. It was a beautiful meal. I was particularly impressed with the ceviche of Scottish scallops, and with the dish featuring Kentish strawberries with its different textures. The service was outstanding, friendly and helpful but not intrusive. A memorable lunch!
