Food is consistently delicious. Portions are small - so don't bring a teenage boy.
Orasy is the perfect place for lunch or dinner. The food is simply wonderful and the service is outstanding! They anticipate your needs and fulfill your every expectation.
Can not reccomend enough. The service and the food was just perfect. Great selection of wines and entrees.
Food at brunch was very pricey and unfortunately disappointing. Outdoor table service was amiable but host was ungracious. Outdoor heater was ineffective. Disappointing as I have been a customer multiple times and this was a letdown.
Great set up for outdoor with heat lamps. Food and service were very good.
We love Orsay and had another outstanding and memorable meal the other night!
All great, but even with only 25% filled, the restaurant is too noisy.
Excellent French bistrot...
Went for Valentine’s Day with fiancé. First time at the restaurant and I love Paris. The food was great and the interior reminded me of a quintessential Parisian restaurant. Decent wine selection and bubble selection. Definitely would go back.
They did a great job and made Valentine's Day very special in these unusual times. Management and staff went the extra mile, food was very good, and all Covid protocol was followed precisely. Welcome back to being open again and thanks for a really nice evening.
I’ve been to Orsay many times. Food and service were outstanding as usual. Only criticism is about outdoor dining, which we do for Covid reasons. The heaters are only slightly above useless. If you only do outdoor dining you might want to keep this in mind.
- Got seated at the only table without heating
- Waitress said "tough luck" when asked to be moved
- Waited over 15 minutes out of the 1 hour reservation to be attended to
- Manager didn't seem to care about any of this
Whether I'm paying $400 or $40 for a meal, the place has to earn it. The service at Orsay isn't worth even $40, let alone more. Would not recommend.
Dont ever ask me for contact tracing
Everything that you could want from a French Bistro; from excellent food to drinks to service.
Thank you! Excellent!
It was a lovely luncheon. Will be back again very soon,
I loved this restaurant. I live in London and was in NYC for work. The best French restaurant I’ve been to outside France. And great value.
As always, excellent!
Freezing on the patio. Heater did not help. Food was just okay
Always love Orsay. We understand with the restrictions that the menu must be limited and everything was tasty. Look forward to more choices soon. Great wines by the glass. Friendly and nice service with sensitivity to safety. Most restaurants will box the leftovers to take home themselves. They gave us containers to box ourselves. It was nice and warm on one side of the cabana and cold on the other side, but we traded seats after a course. We will be back.
Really loved the food and the service! It was my first time dining there and I can’t wait to go back and try other dishes. Had the salad, steak frites and chicken, all were delicious. It’s cold dining outside even with the heaters, so be sure layer up.
The food is so delicious - delicate and delicious sauces and flavors. We loved the soup, tuna tartare, salmon, steak - and also the desserts, altho we miss the profiteroles.
Food and service always very good salads onion soup my favs
Great upper east side neighborhood French!
great roast chicken, mushroom soup no cream and good service
Wonderful service. Great outdoor setup with heaters but still enough open air. Food is very good, but menu seems to be getting a bit more limited(less salads available at lunch)
Two days in a row of good food, good service, comfortable setting.
The outside setup was comfortable with good heat lamps. Food delicious as always and great wines by the glass. Look forward to them expanding their menu when they can.
Could use more outdoor heating
They did an excellent job preparing and serving our 20th anniversary lunch outdoors, while protecting us with partitions and ensuring our comfort.
I've been going to Orsay for nearly 20 years and it's never disappointed. Best martini in NYC.
Not good outdoors dining experience extremely cold!!!! Not going back😩
We’re disappointed that both the chicken and duck salads are no longer available.
Delicious food and good service. For COVID they have a good outdoor setup next to the restaurant and on the street. Menu has been modified but still contains excellent classics such as beef bourguignon, steak au poivre, and roasted chicken. And for dessert they offer my favorite, floating island.
This place is a fine dining establishment so your meal will be on the pricey side, but I think it is well worth it.
Best outdoor dining on the Upper East Side. Food is amazing, service is excellent and you can sit on their terrace which is open and airy.
Not much to say except I will go there again with my friends.
The hostess tried to seat me on a sidewalk table under a metal awning although I had over a week ago made the reservation requesting specifically the raised patio table next to a heater. Thankfully after I protested, a patio table materialized. But then, we were subjected to continuous drilling of plywood for the tent structure they were building on the sidewalk to accommodate more outdoor tables. I had to put my mask back on as I was breathing all the construction dust from this ongoing drilling. My friends were split up among those who could look past it and those who wanted to get up and leave. Ultimately we stayed and made the most out of this. While I understand that restaurants are in a hard place right now with the looming indoor shutdown this Monday and some have rushed to reinstall outdoor structures to compensate for the loss of profit, I still feel this could have been conducted at a different hour of the day or closed the restaurant for a couple of hours until the work could be completed. When we called the manager to speak to him about all this, he shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly and told us it is what it is and that this construction would go on all day all night (which I found ludicrous and disingenuous). We weren’t even offered a free bottle of wine or dessert to compensate for this horrible situation. I would never go back to this place and I won’t forget in good times who were the decent restaurants who took the health safety and comfort of their customers into account and who were the incompetent solely profit driven machines. This isn’t a time to mistreat your paying customers! I would have given 1 star but I felt bad considering food was good (although nothing stellar).
Always so pleasant..wonderful service with great food..salads always amazing. My preference
This is one of my favorite places. The food is always great. Yesterday (obviously for covid reasons) they had all doors and windows open when it was 34 degrees outside! Changed our orders quickly to two hot onion soups and had to get out of there quickly! Even with coats, gloves, etc., is was just not do-able! Brrrr!!!
Too cold! All doors open for COVID. Overcoats needed.
