   Local restaurant often overlooked by us as part of a hotel but really glad we booked for Mother’s Day lunch. Party of 10 including 2 young children. Exceeded our expectations! Welcome drink for the mums upon arrival a nice touch. Set menu with a choice for all our party food was delicious service friendly and attentive and overall reasonably priced. A lovely afternoon had by us all.

   A very enjoyable evening and excellent value for money The staff were very accomodating when We requested a change of table as it was very close to the entertainment Having said that I still felt the noise level was still a little too loud

    Our experience was disappointing. Food was nothing special, 2 out of 3 deserts not very tasty and disappointing. Main waiter quite frankly was at times appeared very put out. Wouldn't go again.

    The restaurant is lovely and has a great feel to it. Lovely selection on the menu. One of the waiting staff wasn’t very inviting when we first arrived but the rest were great. Food was delicious apart a few of the vegetables which were just a little undercooked. Will definitely go back.

    Staff could not be more helpful and accommodating for special requests. Turning up early was not a problem, and staff were really attentive of our celebration and needs on the day. Great food and service overall, place, atmosphere and overall locale were fantastic. Can’t say any more

    Food was ok, starters and mains fine but though the eton mess dessert had rock hard almost inedible meringue. Service OK though there was a bit of a farce when they tried to put a heavy coat first on a post then on the back of a chair rather then take it to the cloakroom. We were on a table directly under the loudspeakers and the music at top blast meant we couldn't hear ourselves talk. This was turned down on request. We were the only diners at first (1 pm on Fathers day) but several large noisy parties arrived around 2, they were served very quickly and efficiently. Not sure if we'd go again I msut admit.

    Very nice comfortable dining area. The lady that waited on our table was very professional and friendly. Been several times for lunch and each time it has been faultless. Highly recommend a visit

    Nice place, good food, but slightly lacking in atmosphere, although that was probably down to our early evening visit with few others in. Would recommend as a decent place to eat and relax.

    Just wanted a quick bite to eat as we were staying the night in the adjoining hotel for a Wedding in the area. My steak & chips were lovely and the sticky toffee pudding was equally good. Staff were attentive and friendly, nice quality of wines served. The breakfasts were also great and I would easily visit again if in the area.

    I ordered the sea bass, with samphire. There was no samphire on the dish at all, they replaced it with broccoli and carrots. The sea bass was over cooked too. Not what I ordered at all. The wine was average but very expensive for the quality of it. Service was quite slow and we weren’t asked if we were happy with the meals at any point. Disappointed and won’t return

    Waited 30 minutes for starters which was prawn cocktail. Three tables were all served at the same time meaning the prawn cocktails were already made up. My mains was Kefalonia platter. Should have been shish kebab, souvlaki and kofta. No kofta, no explanation. The sea bass was overcooked and dry. Too much pepper. We asked for the wine list, but were asked what wine we wanted. We said Marlborough sauvingnon blanc. He brought a bottle which turned out to cost £31 a bottle. Needless to say we won't be going again.

    This was a really enjoyable and relaxing lunch . Food was well presented , tasty and pleasantly hot when served (as opposed to just about hot ) . Excellent value for money . A lovely dining area and ambience . Will definitely be returning to experience again .

    Food was lovely. Well cooked and presented. Menu had a good selection to suit all tastes. Service could have been better. Not very attentive. Several times we had to ask for someone to take drinks orders. A little slow, and I appreciate we were a large party, but there weren't many people dining at the time. Having said that I would like to go again in a smaller party and see if the service would be better.

    We had afternoon tea, with added Prosecci, for a birthday celebration. The service was impeccable but the food was disappointing. The lovely vintage china and tiered servers stocked with all the usual ingredients for a great afternoon tea raised our expectations. It was excellent to have options of mint tea and Earl Grey as well as standard tea. Unfortunately, we found the sandwiches unimaginative and clumsily put together; there were far too many odd bits of cake; the scones were enormous, almost a meal on their own; there were 5 of us, but the contents of the 3 platters did not provide each of us with the same choices. There should have been 5 of each element but that wasn't the case. So overall, not the best experience for us.

    1st visit in a long time. Sunday roast was hadby all. IT WAS AMAZING. Best gravy iv ever tasted. The whole 3 courses were well just amazing. Great staff great food. We have booked again for this sunday.

    The restaurant was lovely. The staff were friendly and very helpful, ensuring we were satisfied and happy with the food. The food was amazing and very substantial portions, no skimping. Aka in all, a very enjoyable experience and we will definitely be going back again. Highly recommended
