Osteria Da Nino
Huntington’s Osteria da Nino is the rustic, yet elegant eatery that dishes out scrumptious Italian cuisine with contemporary flair. Owner Nino Antuzzi opened its doors right on Main Street for locals and travelers to enjoy freshly prepared fare. For starters, the baked artichokes topped with herb bread crumbs and the polenta con funghi with warm gorgonzola make divine choices. Osteria da Nino house specialties include the pollo alla romana, an organic half chicken with sausage and baby potatoes, the pan-seared branzino with roasted cauliflower and the Tuscan steak with salmoriglio drizzle. Fresh made pasta with gluten-free substitutions are popular dishes.
Osteria da Nino was featured in The New York Times and Newsday. It serves a decadent weekend brunch with a variety of tasty dishes. This restaurant offers a daily happy hour with discounted drinks and food. It also has lunch specials throughout the week.
Nino's Famous Eggplant Caponata
crab meat, crushed tomato, capers, garlic & olive oil
baby calamari semolina dusted, tomato sauce
Service was great- food was delicious.
Osteria da Nino is one of my Huntington favorites. The food is reliably top-notch and the atmosphere is a bit noisy but friendly. Service is good and the menu changes often enough so that there’s always something interesting to try each time I go. A little pricey, but not out of line given the quality of the food and the total experience.
Very busy, noisy. But good food and good service.
Food was great. Service was awful. They didn’t have the bottle of wine we asked for. When she came over with my wife’s left overs to take home she put the check on the table. No desert or coffee was offered and the bottle of wine that we did get was still left on the check.
Heard great things about this place. Very disappointed with the service
It is always a pleasure to dine at Osteria Da Nino. We try to have at least one meal there each week. Nino and the entire staff do everything possible to make us feel like a part of the family. I cannot think of a single meal there that wasn’t delicious.
Another wonderful date night meal at this hidden gem with my husband. Nino is always nearby, ensuring that our dining experience is the best.
Delicious food for a nice date night.
I’ve been to Osteria Da Nino a few times over the years they’ve been open. Most of those times the food was pretty decent. Haven’t been there for a while so we decided that we’d go there to celebrate Fathers Day. The server was a bit inexperienced but tried very hard to service the table well. The real disappointment was the quality of the food. Mom had the lasagna which was pretty miserable. The flavor wasn’t too bad but it looked like a lump on a plate. There were no discernible layers, the pasta was so over cooked that the entire meal had the consistency of a layered mousse cake. I had the Braciole with gnocchi, again overcooked gnocchi that was akin to eating mushy globs, also very watery as if the gnocchi wasn’t drained well and the sauce was just placed on the plate along with the leftover water from the gnocchi. Hubby’s meal was a bit better but again the pasta seemed over cooked, no bite at all. give the restaurant some kudos that when we requested doggie bags for everything except the lasagna they removed the price of that meal when my mother expressed that she didn’t enjoy it.
Great food and cozy atmosphere. Good wine as well. The Branzino was nicely done and delicious. Definitely try the Italian Cheesecake for dessert.
Outstanding service. Need more vegetarian options.
Delicious fresh perfectly prepared food. Service exceptional
Service and food was excellent. Chris went out of his way to make us have a terrific night. Eggplant part and eggplant caponata were delicious, as was the warm bread served with it. Would definitely go again.
Nino always provides the best food, service and atmophere. Sardinian Roast Suckling Pig was superb, as was the Bracciole with Gnocchi.
Delicious! Love the wine Cuvée
Food was amazing as always
Nat and I love this restaurant, also Red by the same chef owner. We were happily delighted last night to sit in the open air alley behind the restaurant and listen to a fantastic musician serenading diners in another restaurant down the street. The food is always delicious - I had an almond crusted halibut over a creative succotash that still has me smiling today.
Staff was friendly and courteous. Food was very good.
Very cute restaurant . Wine was good. Salad was delicious. We were disappointed with the veal meatballs, chicken nino and other meals lacked flavor
We went here for mother a day!
Food was perfect ! Best pizza and salad my daughter ever had!
Food, service and ambiance were excellent, as usual.
Our party arrived on time and seated right away. The owner explained the precautions taken to accommodate pandemic restrictions and made sure that we were comfortable with them. The service was very professional and friendly, taking care of all of our needs. We didn't feel rushed despite being there on a Saturday night when tables at restaurants in this town usually are at a premium. The food was superb, with large enough portions to take home leftovers. We definitely plan to return there and will recommend it to our family and friends looking for a true Tuscan experience.
The food was excellent, particularly the veal meatballs, and the pasta is always so good. The service was very good and would defy recommend to anyone who is looking for a good Italian meal.
Every item was delicious!
The Service was fabulous and the food Was exquisite.
All the food is homemade and Absolutely delicious!!!
A very enjoyable & memorable dining experience & we will return.
We discovered Ninos in December. We’ve been regulars ever since. The atmosphere is cozy, people are very nice and accommodating.
Thank you 😊
Made a 730 reservation at this restaurant last night & wish I didn’t. We wait 20 minutes to be seated and when we were it was at a high top table by the bar instead of the dining room. When I asked about sitting in the dining room - we were told that since the bar was closed all the seating is the same. A few minutes after sitting at the high top (by the front door of the place) we asked to move to the dining room since it really had a bar vibe (and it was supposed to be a nice meal) and it was cold by the door. It didn’t seem to be a problem- we were told sure a couple will be getting up from the dining room momentarily. After that couple “leaving momentarily” walks out another walks in immediately and they are given that table. And it wasn’t a communication issue on the restaurants end, they guy just didn’t care. Just terrible service and rude - we left.
If you make reservations at places & are expecting to sit down close to right away (and in the dining room not the bar area) just avoid this place. The guy “sincerely apologized” like I’m sure you are really sorry for blatantly doing something.
As we navigate through COVID safety measures & mandates, we are restricted to limited seating in our intimately sized restaurant. We strive to be perfectly time with our reservations and are truly sorry you suffered a delay, as well as not being satisfied with your table. In normal times, we would have more selection to accommodate specific requests. We would have been thrilled to seat you at the other table if we didn't need it for a larger sized reservation. Thank you for your feedback, Kelley
Amazing food... great service and socially distant. Thank you!
As always, it was a pleasure dining at Nino's.
Somewhat pricy. Outstanding service and food.
Nino is awesome. The food is everything Italian food is supposed to be. Quality ingredients homemade even thr deserts.
Chris is a great GM/ host
Some of the best Italian food around. Tends to have small appetizer portions, but other than that the food is outstanding.
Such wonderful food and great service!! Could not have asked for a better birthday dinner for my Mom ❤️
We loved everything about this place ! The manager Chris was extremely nice and accommodating . I have celiacs and he asked before I even could tell him. The gf pizza artichoke heart app and chicken parm was so good! The non gf members of my party were extremely impressed. We will be back for sure ! Great experience at Osteria Da Nino❤️
Osteria Da Nino is one of our go to places. On this occasion I was celebrating my 60th birthday with my wife and some close friends. As usual with Osteria the food was outstanding and the service was even better. I would recommend Osteria to anyone who is looking for outstanding food in a nice relaxed setting.
Nino’s is always fantastic!! Can’t wait to go back!
Delicious food! Great service. Would come go back again!
We were in Huntington to meet friends and family for the light show. We made reservations on the blind for Osteria Da Nino and to our surprise we enjoyed our experience very much. The restaurant was small and quaint observing all COVID protocols.
this is the best Italian food on long island, hands down! It's a bit pricey but not over priced for the amount of food and quality.
Another great night out at Osteria! The food and service were great!
