Outstanding/Excellent! The Margaritas which included Jose Andreas' favorite, The Oyamel and the other margaritas were superb. Service was excellent. We made reservations for the streetside tent which was ok, but if anyone reads this review, I highly recommend making your reservation for the inside as the restaurant interior and ambiance is very nice. Only one suggestion for management......the guacamole was very good but also very light.......not a great value and again, very light as in very small amout for $15.00. All in all, nice night and highly recommend Oyamel!

I wish it was a place I could afford to go to every day. However, it’s great to go and treat yourself to fresh food and amazing cocktails.
We had such a wonderful dinner at Oyamel. The variety of options was perfect for even our pickiest eater. Given the COVID dining restrictions, the restaurant was only at 25% capacity, so we felt very safe eating there. The service was outstanding and the food was very good. The margaritas were also delicious. I will definitely be going back soon.

Amazing food with such freshness and quality to the ingredients used behind every dish. Our waiter was amazing and the service was truly 5 stars for my Valentine’s date and I. Cocktails were pretty good as well. I’d definitely recommend the Serrano spicy margarita, WOW was it good lol if you’re looking for a great restaurant with true fresh taste come here! Cocktails will be a bit on the $$$ side tho lol
recommend the oyamel margarita and brunch but was disappointed as a place to celebrate valentine's day/our anniversary. when oyamel confirmed my reservation, they never mentioned the special menu wasn't being offered until an hour later.

Having been a bit skeptical on eating out at all during COVID, Oyamel's outdoor tent set up made me feel like I could truly relax, enjoy restaurant week, and be present with family who I dined out with. The service was attentive, clean, careful, and kind.
We enjoyed eating on the outdoor patio. They had heat lamps for each table. I ordered a dessert with a different ice cream and when it came out wrong, it was immediately corrected. All of the dishes came out hot and tasty. My favorite Jose Andres in DC!

The service was, great. We were only able to book a reservation outside on the patio, but because it was a cold night, we asked upon arrival whether we could be seated inside and they gladly accommodated us. The food was great quality and good value.

Great margaritas!
We ordered guacamole, a pitcher of margaritas, queso fundido, quesadilas, and frijoles. All were tasty but very small portions. Everything is a la carte. The food is good, just high priced as is all of DC. It has a fun vibe, and great cocktails. I am a margarita snob. I don't like syrupy drinks. These were a nice balance. We also had our kids with us - they enjoyed their food as well. We will return.

First time here and like all Jose Andres places the taste is great. HH is until 6 and we got there right before and it was great to get a pitcher of margarita. Btw the pitcher was alot of drinks a good 6 or 8, not too much ice like other places too. We got the queso which wasn't really queso. It was a tougher and thicker cheese - still great flavor. The tacos were unique. The Pork and Beef ones tasted like Indian food to me (I'm north Indian and it was definitely like my mom's cooking). Overall great, I'm glad they have outdoor sitting and heaters during covid times. Can't wait to go post post-covid era because the inside looked real nice!!

The food is excellent. We lived in Mexico 6 years and this restaurant has managed to replicate the typical Mexican cuisine with the ingredients and flavors. We highly recommend it, and it is good value for money. By the way, the guacamole is done in the moment, really fresh-just made. And very good service and COVID protocols
