Downtown Raleigh Restaurant located at the entrance of the Warehouse District, Parkside is situated on the corner of West Martin and South Dawson streets across from historic Nash Square. It was this urban park, one of the four original parks in downtown that inspired the name Parkside. Housed at street level and under the longest running neon restaurant sign in North Carolina you will find our doors, which have been the threshold to hospitality for this neighborhood for over one hundred years. Parkside believes in continuing this tradition in every way. From the warm red brick and reclaimed barn wood clad bar to the NC solid poplar tabletops, we want our guests to feel welcome. Great brunch menu. Spicy Bloody Mary was one of the best I’ve ever had. Our server while very friendly was hard to find, didn’t bring silverware until after we were served and messed up our order but responded very well. Everyone enjoyed their food and drinks.

We took some out of town guests for brunch. The food was EXCELLENT!! There are a variety of selections it was hard to decide what to order. Service was great. We will definitely go again. I recommend making a reservation on the weekend;)

Had a reservation for six at Park Side on Saturday the 11th of August at 1:15 P. We were met at the door by Brian who was very personable and in control of the smooth operation of Park Side. The restaurant was very busy and we were seated right away. Food was great, service was great, and we are looking forward to coming back again.

First time there for brunch. Was well done on all fronts. Made reservation with Open Table but was sat right away(though we went at 10am when they opened), great service and the food was yummy! For sure will take the crew here in the future.

The bacon wrapped dates were sublime! Unfortunately, that's where the goodness ended. Shrimp and grits were inedible. I can't even describe the texture of the grits, and the shrimp was overcooked. We couldn't find any chorizo at all. The short rib stroganoff was flavorless as it was dry -there wasn't a drop of sauce. It's too bad bc the short rib meat was incredibly tender.

Very accommodating for three with celiac and one with dairy, egg, nut and shellfish allergies. Manager was very knowledgeable. (Our server misinformed us about a few things but apparently it was her first week so gonna give them some grace) Would definitely recommend and food was delicious and came out fast too!

My girlfriend and I planned a valentines date the day after since we both worked the day of valentines. We decided here would be a good place and it turned out amazing. The pretzel is a must, the queso that comes with it is great! Fish and chips were good, I’m not used to the type of breading they used but still good. Girlfriend absolutely loved the chicken and waffles, wasn’t a fan of the “spicy” syrup but either way the chicken was great! And a super nice waiter.

Great place for a bite before a matinee, or before of after an event at the convention center. Within easy walking distance of both. Lots of places nearby are closed for lunch on Saturdays, so this is an excellent option.

The venue, atmosphere and service was great. My complaint is just the food. I was very excited to try the prime rib scramble bowl for brunch Sunday. It was a huge let down. They did not ask for a temperature on the prime rib, bad sign! It came out well well done and tasted like it was left over from two nights ago and then microwaved! The eggs were also so well done that they had brown patches on them. I think the bowl would be delicious, it’s a great concept, if the prime rib was fresh and the eggs not overcooked.

Ordered the chicken nachos and got a long stringy hair under the cheese not once but twice. That should’ve been our clue to leave but we stayed and unfortunately our entire party was sick later that evening and we had different entrees. My father in-law didn’t attend and got sick after eating his meal which was takeout. Horrible experience for a birthday dinner, we will never return. It’s probably time for Wake County to do another health inspection.

Table we were given was in back right corner. Very small space and no lighting! There were 4 of us, 3 of us very tall! Waitress wasn’t very polite, didn’t take my drink order - my husband had to chase her down. Seemed surprised we we’re gonna eat dinner. Very lacking in customer service skills that are important in this industry. The drinks were expensive and very, very small pours. My three other guests were fine with their food, but my steak salad was no good. I literally couldn’t chew the beef! The greens were okay, tho.
