The food was exemplary and the ambiance was truly magical! We loved it and we’ll be back very often! :-)
Great food, fast service. Just had to wait a bit even though we had a reservation
Interesting, intimate surroundings. Friendly people and good service. Tasty homemade pastas and fillings.
Food was good and our server John was really nice. We were there for a huge conference so the place the extremely busy and the noise level was unbearable at times. We couldn’t even hold a conversation across the table. Our waiter recognized it and suggested we come back next time when it was quieter! We agreed!
Meeting a friend from out of town and we wanted an Italian restaurant in midtown. We'd heard of Pasta da Pulcinella and thought we'd give it a try. It was wonderful! The food was great - two of us ordered the house special ravioli with green apples and sausage and one had the mushroom ravioli. We started with bacon-wrapped asparagus and finished with one tiramisu and a cheese cake...also great! The restaurant is small and the tables close together which provides the "energetic" noise level which seems to be a favorite of the new age restaurant goers. Pasta da Pulcinella is terrific!!
The Best Gluten Free pasta ever!
Lovely wine list!
Yummy food plus a friendly staff equals perfection!!
Delicious food and great ambience, but the service was very rushed. Thankfully, we had a show to make, so it wasn't a huge deal. However, it was disappointing
Great dinner with one entrée being a little under-cooked. Quality of other food and service more than made up for it
Get the ravioli- any of them. But the black pepper is the best. 👌🏾
Food very good and server was extreme helpful
We had a little wait with reservations (a must) locals eat here
Charming little house. Very cozy. Service was excellent. Food was excellent. The Tortelli di Mele was one of the best things I’ve ever tasted.
Great food, great service for a good value! Will go back for sure!
Great food as usual and our server was great. The reservation system was really messy. It took a while to be seated and we were clearly skipped over. A simple apology would have been fine instead of excuses since we could hear them tell one another they screwed it up. Not our best experience at this usually great place.
Returned 6 yrs. later to this restaurant. It may have outgrown itself. Extremely crowded. There was pressure (i.e. they confirmed my reservation three times in advance), you wait until all parties arrive before being seated even though no room to wait, the wait staff are overwhelmed but the food is amazing! It was a great little place that seems pretty frenetic. The restaurant needs more space.
Our first time and went based on reviews. DID NOT DISAPPOINT! All six of us love our entrees, and they were all different. Absolutely loved having K.O. as our server--this gentleman wrote the book on exquisite service--always there and fast but never intruding or hovering
Rude! This has always been a favorite place to come when we travel twice a year. I invited a friend who lives in the area to join us. She drove over an hour to do so. After 1 hour and 20 minutes of our scheduled reservation, the manager came to our table and asked us to leave as other guests needed to be seated. Our friend went to the restroom and while we were waiting near the door, we were asked to wait outside in the 38 degree weather at the patio table with firepit surrounded by smokers. I called to complain and the manager said she didn't think she did anything wrong as we were clearly done! We were not done. We were still eating our dessert and hoping for a coffee refill which was never offered. She offered no apology of any kind. Fabulous food, but I guess house policy is eat and get out! We will not be returning.
My dear friend & I have been dining here for nearly 20 years.
We always have had excellent service & food.
This experience was tremendously disappointing.
1. Had to flag down a server to place our wine order.
2. Had to repeat above for meal order.
3. We were told our server was just in but it appears she also was working the bar.
4. Both our plates of pasta were cold. Obviously were sitting in back to be delivered.
5. No cheese was offered.
6. Flagged down server for cheese.
This was a tremendously disappointing experience. Frankly, not sure I’ll be back.
Traffic has gotten horrible down to Crescent from north Buckhead.
The surrounding construction has decimated parking availability.
Doesn’t seem worth it, sorry to say.
It’s a lovely restaurant to have dinner at, however it’s so popular that the hosts forget you have reservations until 15 minutes have passed.
Wait was almost 30 minutes past our reservation time.
The food was great however the experience was a little tainted because the restaurant seated us 20 mins after the reservation time and had mentioned a free dessert to compensate us for the wait which was not provided. I was also disappointed by the fact that even though I had indicated on my reservation that we were celebrating with a newly engaged couple the restaurant did not do anything special for them.
This was our first time hereand I was very impressed. The food and the service were excellent. It is a very small quiet place to have a nice dinner.
My first time and I can see why there was a wait. Food was great. Atmosphere was like being in someone’s home for a big Italian feast. The wait staff was so friendly I felt like I had known them forever. I would highly recommend.
We hadn't been to Pasta da Pulcinella in a few years, but it sure didn't disappoint! The place was really lively, the service great, food delicious and desserts heavenly. My kids love it!
A+ restaurant, would recommend! Great food, good atmosphere, fantastic wine selection!
My favorite restaurant in Atlanta. Only criticism is the noise level. Outstanding wait staff
This our second visit- both times when we had tickets to
the Woodruff (or. Walking distance). Food , once again, was delicious and portions were satisfying. Our waitress, Lanae, was personable and “right on” with her recommendations. I had the pork chops and my wife had the chicken Marsala-both ere top notch
Wonderful meal for our whole table! The lobster ravioli was the best we've every had and the spaghetti Bolognese was spectacular. Service was great and atmosphere was quaint, warm and intimate. We drove from "the burbs" to meet friends here. Definitely worth the drive. We will be back!
One of my favorite restaurants. Food and service are fantastic. Fresh and very reasonably priced.
Food was delicious. Service was great. Only issue was parking. Difficult to find a park lot because of construction across the street. Suggest Uber if you go.
NYE was a treat for everyone . Attentive staff, Great Drinks & a fab menu cant wait to go back
Love this cozy, delicious Italian eatery.
Lanea, our waitress, was fabulous!
Had a great New Years Eve dinner here. They had a pre-fixe menu with several options for appetizers, dinner, and desert. For appetizers, we had the arugula salad and tuna/ricotta fritters and both were delicious. For dinner, we had lobster/risotto and tortelli de mele which has apples and sausage inside. The tortelli was amazing!! My mouth is still watering thinking about it. Desert was great - we went with the tiramisu and red velvet cake. Overall, a great, romantic dinner. We will definitely be back.
We went for New Years Eve dinner. Service is outstanding even if it is too quick at times. Food was delicious but not enough to fill you up. This was our second visit and we were looking forward to it. We knew before going in that they had a set menu at $50.00 per person. It included Soup, Salad or Tuna appetizer, choice of meal and dessert. Bread was served while waiting for your starter. The bread was good but only 4 small slices cut about 1/4" thick. They whisked it away so quickly we didn't have much of a chance to ask for more. My salad was good but barely a handful, my husband had the tuna & he said it was tasty. He had the lamb and I had the lobster tail, both of our small plates were 1/2 full. Both were tasty but the lobster tail was very small and I could have bought at Kroger for $10.00 or less. The limoncello cake and the peach sorbet for dessert was good as well. Unfortunately, we won't be back - at least anytime soon and never again on New Years Eve. The only additional thing you could order were drinks. We walked away hungry and disappointed that we didn't have an option to order extra appetizers off the regular menu or get more food. We had a relaxing time but at the same time felt rushed as they needed to turn over the tables quickly for the people waiting to get in. While everything was good - just disappointed and feeling we didn't get much out of it for $50.00 per person and walking away hungry.
It took me a good two days to figure out how I wanted to start this review. To sum it up in a sentence: This was probably the least flavorful meal I've had in my entire life.
To explain further, we made a reservation here for NYE since I was in the mood for a hearty Italian meal - I noticed a brief note about an "offering" of a NYE three-course menu. There was no indication that the three-course menu was the only menu we could order from for the evening. Lo and behold - we get to the restaurant only to be told that the regular menu was not available and that we could only order from the NYE menu. Fine, not ideal, but hey - the reviews on OpenTable and Google were great, I'm sure the three-course menu will be delicious! (We were wrong).
Our appetizers were okay. I ordered a red pepper soup that was fine, but my boyfriend ordered a tuna fritter that tasted like it came out of a can. Not great, but maybe the entrees would be better. I ordered Sicilian chicken that included vegetables and Parmesan risotto. The chicken and veggies were fine (though the portion size of the veggies took nearly two thirds of the plate) but the risotto was impossibly bland and slightly undercooked. My boyfriend ordered a tortelloni (which was actually ravioli) dish that I believe was supposed to include asparagus in the filling - unfortunately all you could taste was plain cheese. When we both reached for the salt and pepper shakers to triage the situation, we realized that the pepper grinder was empty. This should've been the reddest of red flags.
Desserts were disappointing. My tiramisu consisted mostly of cream with no lady fingers in sight (it honestly tasted like it disintegrated into the dish) and my boyfriend's chocolate raspberry cake, despite being smothered in fruit and icing, was dry.
If the reviews are accurate, my guess is the regular menu is worth a shot, but this "special" NYE menu felt lazy and not even close to true Italian food. Not confident that I'll visit again.
This is about the 5th time I’ve dined here. We were here at 6pm on a Sunday - the nightclub next door was playing their music SO loud we all heard the bass thumping through the wall like a rude apartment neighbor.
Our food was fine at best this time but the service was way too fast and we were being pushed out within 50 minutes of walking through the door. Our waiter Michael was apologetic but did not own the mistake which was disappointing.
We would have bought a second $150 bottle of wine if we weren’t being shoved out the door. I am so disappointed that my fave go to restaurant had such an off night - but the thumping music next door seems to be a driving force enough for us to go elsewhere the next time we want high quality Italian.
Made reservations on open table. Parked in close parking lot for $10 Hostess at restaurant had a smile on her face and was kind. Seated right away. Came with family and teenagers. Seated near the kitchen but we pulled curtains so we didn’t have to see them cleaning dishes. Waiter was nice but not very warm or gave much input on menu suggestions. Female server was extremely curt and at first served us through the curtain. Teenager ordered noodles with garlic cream sauce and chicken. It was VERY bland - should have sent it back. As the 15 year old said - it’s. It even as good as Olive Garden. Really no flavor at all. Other teenager ordered with marinara sauce and enjoyed it. Two of us ordered restaurant specialty with apple and sausage and it was Tasty. I’d order it again for sure. Tiramisu was amazing.
great venue. great staff...all so nice and easy going!
Wonderful ambiance and food was delicious. Service not exceptional, but didn’t ruin the experience. We will recommend to all our friends.
