About this restaurant

Penn Brewery is a historical trip through Pittsburgh showcasing the European immigrant migration from German settlers to the creation of traditional craft beer. Since 1986, Penn Brewery has been specializing in authentic and award winning German style beers created from imported hops and barley. The menu at Penn Brewery reflects the melting pot heritage of the community with samplings from many European countries. All of the menu items complement the beer, so start with the fried pickles or white cheddar cheese curds. Along with pierogis, soup and salad, flatbread, sandwiches and sausages, the menu offers specialties like the German Reuben, the wiener schnitzel sandwich and the bier cheese and macaroni.
