It was unanimous. The funghi pasta was the biggest hit among our table -- even the person who says she doesn't like mushrooms! Artichoke appetizer was also fantastic. Lemon shrimp pasta was delish, and bolognese was solid. Will definitely return.

Another wonderful experience post theater meal. The food was wonderful and Bethany (our server) was very pleasant and available when needed. Zucchini was excellent!!!

It was very strange for a pizza place to run out of dough and be unable to serve pizza on a weekend lunch. The waitress was lovely but ridiculously overloaded.

We made reservations for right after the Steelers game. Our table was ready when we arrived. Our server did a great job of explaining items and constantly checked with us to see if we needed anything. We have eaten there several times and the food keeps us coming back. It is well prepared and delicious. I haven’t found anything that I don’t like. The wine list is good, not huge, but very sufficient. The only drawback is that the tables are a bit close together, but it’s still very workable

We were rudely rushed out of our seats for a “reserved party” (we also made reservations) when plenty of open tables surrounded us. Food was ok and service was intermittent.

Our meals where so good the leftovers were taken home! I had the branzino and it was some of the tastiest I've ever had, my husband and a friend had the homemade pasta with bolognese sauce and had so much to eat some made it home!

Food was very good and reasonably priced. Calamari app was a big serving and the Crab Limone was packed with crab meat - and delicious! My son enjoyed the Chicken Parm too…will certainly return when back in Pitt next year.

I really want to like Il Pizziola. The wood burning oven pizza is really great. Problem is that the hostess hates her job, is rude and uncommunicative. I need to double down on downright rude. The regular female bartender is also beyond rude. The Monday night bartender is very nice. I'm afraid I'll never go back and recommend that no one i know ever go back given the general rudeness of those two individuals.

We went here for our 10 year anniversary. The food and service was top notch. My husband and I split the meatballs as an appetizer. I got the Pappardelle Funghi for my entree, affumicato cocktail, and cannoli for dessert. My husband ordered the rigatoni polpette and tiramisu for dessert. The food was exceptional. Everything was amazing. I do wish for our special night, we weren't seated right next to the staff steps. Constantly there was employees going in and out, up and down and I can tell it made my husband on edge. It's not easy to relax when you're anticipating someone bumping into you. The seating didn't ruin the experience, but it also made us want to eat, get it over with, and leave. I do believe i entered in the reservation that it was for a special occasion. It's not that I was expecting special treatment for our anniversary. I just wish that was taken into consideration for seating.

I was a guest for dinner at this restaurant. I had recommended it to out-of-town relatives. Now I wish I hadn't. My husband and I have eaten at this restaurant several times in the past, although it has been awhile. We previously had good experiences. The food last night was less than stellar. The food was not served hot. The thin crust pizza was soggy, which I didn't even know was possible. My ravioli were okay but for the price, just very average. The bread was dry and inedible. The food was definitely not worth the price.

I had Tagliatelle Bolognese and it was basically pasta noodles with a spaghetti sauce. The beef was coarse chunks. I was expecting a creamier sauce with finer ground beef. My wife had a pizza that was apparently baked too long and she could not eat the hardened outer edge. Together we shared what was said to be Gelato. It was evident to both of us it was just vanilla ice cream.

This is our go-to restaurant when visiting the city for a concert. The eggplant parm is out of this world delicious and the other dishes we’ve had were all amazing, as well. Outdoor seating on the square is lovely if the weather is cooperative.

The pasta with sausage and broccolini was absolutely delicious! My guest also enjoyed her dish. However for 2 dishes of pasta and two soft drinks (no bread) I spent 75.00 before the 20% tip. I am inspired to learn to make pasta now! Chef’s kiss!
