I ordered the brisket and sweet potato entre. The brisket tasted good, but the portion was very small (one 1/4" slice approximately). It came with two sweet potatoes that were sliced partially through (I assume to speed up the cooking process) but the potatoes were basically raw. They were inedible. It The drinks were overpriced as well. I left the restaurant feeling hungry.
First time there. Food was delicious!
Service was great.
Wife graduated college
Staff service was excellent. Food preparation/presentation was excellent. Will be recommending the Plough to family and friends.
Thank you so much for the kind review! Feedback is always appreciated and we can't wait for you to join us again sometime soon. Have a fantastic day!
A lovely meal served by a hospitable staff on a rainy night.
Thank you for the kind review, Randy! We hope you'll join us for another meal in Plough soon. Enjoy your day!
the service was excellent but the noise from the kitchen was off putting. My husbands dinner was great but mine was just ok.
Short ribs had no flavor taste like red wine vinegar horrible taste!
Had a wonderful lunch. Food and drinks were excellent. Server was attentive and friendly. The way they do French fries is very unique.
Make sure to check Plough out.
Thanks for the 5-star review, Denny! We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your meal with us at Plough, and you'll join us again soon!
Nice atmosphere. Food was excellent. Waiter Nick was exceptional.
We are so glad you enjoyed your evening with us! We will pass along the kind feedback to Nick. Have a fantastic day!
Food was well prepared and service was excellent. Great menu selection and seasonal dishes.
The ambiance at Plough is very pretty and quiet, which we liked a lot. We were there at 7:45 on a Saturday night, and probably because of Covid, it was far from crowded. Our server, Jake, was top notch. He checked on us often, was professional, and very friendly. My husband and son each had the specials of the day, for appetizers and for dinner. I had the crab cakes and they were delicious. I don't think you'll be let down if you dine here, and if you are lucky enough to have Jake helping you, you're sure to have a great experience.
Thanks so much for taking the time to leave us a review! We are so glad you enjoyed your experience with us at Plough and will be sure to pass along your kind words to Jake! We hope you'll join us again sometime soon. Have a great day, Leslie!
When we arrived we were seated promptly but the evening went south from there . Considering it wasn’t busy our waiter wasn’t attentive at all (more concerned about chatting up the female bartender). Appetizers were lack luster and dinner was a flop (for that cost on a burger it should be a better meal than Burger King). Also sinks didn’t work in the bathroom which is not ideal especially during COVID. Definitely wouldn’t go back .
The food and service was excellent. This was one of the most high quality meals I've had in Lancaster in a long time
Thank you so much for the 5-star review, Erin! We are so glad you enjoyed your experience with us, and hope you'll join us again sometime soon. Have a great Thanksgiving!
We loved our first experience here. The restaurant is affiliated with the Marriot hotel but it has it's own entrance and stands alone. The food is high quality. Prices are market value, but definitely worth the price. Most of the food is locally sourced and in farm-to-table style. We will definitely be back!!
Amazing food, great service! All around a great place to either for a celebration event or just a casual night out on the town.
My wife and I ate at Plough over the weekend since we were staying at the Hotel Marriott in Lancaster, PA. The hospitality and service was excellent! Food was delicious, highly recommended the Crispy Brussel Sprouts to start. Overall I would most definitely recommend this restaurant and I certainly look forward to revisiting the place during our next trip to Lancaster.
Plough was outstanding in every aspect of my dining experience; every employee that I encountered was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly.
Our server Jake was spot on with his suggestions and food was delicious.
Everything was great. Our friends got the chicken family dinner and they loved it and it’s a lot of food. I got the short rib and I’m still thinking about. And my boyfriend got the burger and that was great!
My first time at Plough. We love the restaurants in Downtown Lancaster. Our waiter was Nick and he was good although a bit shakey...spilled my martini and then I was sticky all night. The Mozzarella app was mediocre. The bread it came with was just plain toasted bread probably right out of the bag. For the $$ it was not worth it. There were 4 of us...2 got the short ribs which were delicious, another got the pork duo which was amazing. I ordered the scallops...it was good but not very hot. Everyone else's meal was hot so I figure mine was done first and should have been kept hot while waiting for the others. Hazelnut cream puffs ended the night...could have added more of the cream...just saying. For the money spent the evening did not match that. I hate giving mediocre reviews but the truth is the truth. We will probably not be back. Too many other restaurants I know to be consistently good.
The food is really outstanding. We sat in the lounge area, which was both a delight and fun. My friends visited from Hershey joined and loved everything as well. Our waiter Dakota, was spot on in helping us place our small plate dishes to share. I would highly recommend, although I normally would only eat at mom and pop or smaller venues the hotel environment is great for social distancing and they nailed it !!! Thank you Dakota
We are thrilled to hear how much you enjoyed your meal, and evening with us at Plough. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a review! We will be sure to pass along your kind words to Dakota, and the rest of the team! Have a wonderful day!
We enjoyed the pleasant and courteous service of the wait staff. The downfall was the location of our table.....at the kitchen prep-area....when dropping over $100 for diner, I would expect at least a semi-exclusive spot. not a lot of vegetarian choices, but I mustered thru that task....The food and service were the best I have had....we'll be back!...
Everything was great! The food was all excellent except for one dish where the chicken was a little dry but still had excellent flavor! Will definitely go back again! Great date night place!
Great place. Cant wait to go again for lunch this time!
The spaetzel dish was bland with odd garnish.
While the food was good, the service was incredible slow, ineffective and seemed disinterested. We waited an extended time before our waiter first approached us and acknowledged us and return visits to our table should have also been more frequent and in a shorter period of time. Once our entrees arrived, the waiter never came back after first bites to ask if everything was okay. For the caliber of restaurant that this tries to achieve and the prices of the entrees, they need to overhaul their waitstaff and re-train them on service.
As the food arrived music started, it wasn’t suitable music and it was very loud. Our server did turn it down upon request. The food was a mix of good and ok. Nothing was amazing and the burger was horrible - 2 thin patties that looked like they came from McDonalds. The Mac and cheese spatzle with fried bologna —- chunks were fatty and not crisp. The speck on the scallops looked much better. Diners were not seated at tables 6 ft apart. Several parties asked to be moved. If I had been a hotel guest I wouldn’t have been as disappointed. However as a Lancaster resident there are many better restaurants to patronize.
Very accommodating host (we were on a date night). Bolognese pasta with the house bread was excellent. Unfortunately, no NA beer available; but the water was chilled and extra in a bottle on our table. My husband and I will definitely be returning to Plough.
Absolute incredible experience at plough. Our waiter, Jason, was super friendly and made our experience even better. He even bought us our dessert...baked apple pie which was the best! Highly recommend Plough
Service was extremely poor. they were out of several entrees. poor service. took forever for the food to arrive. just an overall horrible experience.
We went on a Saturday afternoon! With reservations. Food was excellent, ambience was relaxing and pretty. Servers were awesome. Will be back.♥️
Appreciated the staffs preparedness for COVID safe dining and flexibility seating us outside! Our waiter was great and we loved the cocktails. Food was solid and good portions but a little over priced compared to similar quality dishes in Philadelphia. The Mac and cheese however was incredible and would order every weekend if I could!
I dined at Plough today for the first time. The restaurant is beautiful and the food was amazing. Such beautiful plating. Our service from Dakota was outstanding- he is truly an asset to the brand. I urge anyone looking to dine out in Lancaster to visit this restaurant. Please support our local restaurants.
The staff was attentive and the food was good. The restaurant is in a hotel and I’m guessing that it why the prices were a bit high. $18 for a salad plus another $5 for chicken is an expensive lunch.
Outdoor table away from King St was exactlu what we wanted. Excellent service by Maurice our favorite server. We go back for the Mac & Cheese with corn.
We sat outside as it was a beautiful evening. The server was engaging and offered some great suggestions. We ordered a number of small plates and it was exactly what we were looking for.
Great food, prompt and attentive service. Will definitely be back.
The Food was very good and the service was excellent. Our waiter, Nick, was extremely helpful and courteous.
Thanks for your feedback! We are so happy you enjoyed your evening with us. We'll be sure to pass along your kind words to Nick! Have a great day!
My wife and I were the ONLY patrons and the host (a guy about 5’7” wearing a gray blazer, sat my wife (I was parking the car), 10 feet from the kitchen. I came in and asked to be moved. Everyone knows that sitting guests near the kitchen is the last resort. I hope that our race was not the issue. The only reason I stayed is because it wasn’t the waiter’s fault and I’m sure any waiter working during covid have been hit hard financially.
The food was awesome...we will not be returning.
They have a new menu for fall and I have to say they have stepped their game up. Some of the best things things I have eaten this year! Ask for Mo as your server. He made my night. What a great guy.
Thank you for the wonderful review and 5 star rating! We are so glad you enjoyed your meal with us. We will be sure to share your kind words with Mo and hope you'll join us again sometime soon!
