    We went to Popolo on our trip to Brisbane from Melbourne to visit family and to celebrate a belated birthday with family. The location, ambiance, food and service were great. My first order though was not available which was slightly disappointing given we had an early booking but the second option did not disappoint. Everyone loved their meals and dessert was lovely! Looking forward to visiting again next time we are in Brisbane.

    Our fourth and last time going to this restaurant, have given it too many times to get it right but it keep’s disappointing. Went to celebrate my mothers birthday, put in the notes area asking for a window seat and celebrating a birthday and nothing! Got a crap seat with view of the toilet block and no acknowledgement of my mothers birthday. Food was passable, waited over 30 mins for the mains to come out with starters taken off the bill, at almost $400 for 3 people, very poor value for money, virtually robotic waitress not interested in her job. And of course, don’t forget the 10% surcharge on Sundays. Don’t bother with this place, go to 1889 Enotecca or Massimo.

    The staff at Popplo were attentive and efficient. The food was absolutely delicious and we enjoyed every moment in the beautiful setting. I recommend Popolo for anyone wanting amazing Italian food in a picturesque setting!

    It was wonderful. Very attentive staff. My colleagues turned up quite late, my fault really.. I should have accounted for rush hour and parking in such a popular location. The food was nice, my favourite was the tiramisu cake. Melts in your mouth. Service was quick considering we all ordered mains quite late into the booking and still managed to finish on 7. Will return, but this time with better planning around time on my part.

    Beautiful restaurant right on the River, and we were lucky to have a front table facing the city. This was appreciated as we had interstate visitors with us. Delicious food, wine and good services. We will be back.

    To the perfect birthday dinner, started off with an amazing host and service from the section waitress and ended off with delicious food and perfect riverside view. Thank you Popolo, will be back for the perfect experience!

    Everything spot on as usual! My disappointment was the glass of Italian prosecco I ordered on arrival was flat, the last night's opened bottle unsealed perhaps?

    The restaurant is in a lovely position with views of the river. Unfortunately that's where the lovely ends. We waited for an hour for our mains (which were nothing special) after only having olives as an entree and the wine was ridiculously expensive. We do understand that there needs to be a mark up on wine but 400% really? Won't be going back. Sorry

    It was a really nice experience, enjoyed the rose wine, olives and the ravioli was superb. The chefs did an amazing job and the waiters were soo lovely and the view was exceptional at night! Will recommend this restaurant to my friends! Felt like home! Grazie! :)

    Lovely venue that offers views of the river and a sense of connection to the parklands. Meals were well presented and satisfying portions. Although admittedly I was a little disappointed that I could not try the chefs signature dish because preparing this meal with gluten free pasta would be a departure from the original dish, and not allowed - fortunately there were plenty of other GF options. Service was great and staff were friendly, however I will make the comment that the first round of drinks was extremely slow in making its way to the table - not the first time that I have experienced this at Popolo. Overall, a really good experience and would recommend.

    I’m afraid we were very disappointed .. three of our four dishes tasted extremely bland & the cost of our dining experience was shocking! We commented we won’t return to be honest.

    Nice vibe looking over the city Round table of 6 for only 4 people made it awkward to talk without reaching to yell. Too many waiters looking after us, kept repeating ourselves. Nice wine selection but menu was basic on range.

    We loved the pasta, my son had the chefs special Linguine w. Moreton Bay Bug, Spanner Crab & Lobster Bisque which was just divine. Will be coming back for this one! The Pappardelle w. Beef Short Rib Ragu, Grana Padano just melted in your mouth and flavoursome. The Paccheri, Buffalo Ricotta, Heirloom Tomatoes, Parmigiano Reggiano cooked to perfection and comforting. We enjoyed the river views and fantastic service. Thank you for a special evening!

    We had a wonderful time. We are getting use to the service here but did not care for being told by our server that she would come back and take our starter order all at the same time with the main course. We wanted to order starters first while we decided and had questions. Foot was delicious. They messed up our bill as well charging another table for a portion of our bill. The restaurant was difficult to find as well. However, it is a beautiful restaurant. The wine was amazing.
