   We came to taste some wine and share some pleasant time with friends before a dinner reservation. Prima has a nice set-up where you can do a tasting of 6 of the wines they are pouring for $20. A cheese and chorizo plate to accompany costs $18 and was pretty good. Nice to have the cheeses to go with the wine. Their wine varietals are pretty unique and generally well executed. Price point of the wine is reasonable and a good value. Overall (TLDR): low key, enjoyable experience. I'd come back again to enjoy some pleasant wine tasting close to home. The good: interesting varietals at a good price. Our server was very nice. The menu explains the varietals nicely so that you knew what to expect from wines you've probably not heard of before. Saves a lot of questions. the bad: nothing The mediocre: I guess you could call the ambiance around where we were seated as nothing terribly special, but it didn't detract from the wine tasting either.

   I took my husband and in-laws for wine tasting to celebrate his 30th birthday. The service was wonderful! All of the wines were delicious. I highly recommend the cheese plate. The roasted almonds were amazing. There’s a little back area that’s perfect for taking pictures. I will definitely be going back.

   First off, the wine is special. It was amazing how Pietro, the winemaker, could capture the heritage of the Italian varietals while also getting the best of Lake County's terroir to complement. The alley is simple and quaint and easy to sit and savor the variety. It's a great place for a great conversation about work or something more intimate, if you'd like. In vino veritas, and in Prima Materia a perfect place to learn that lesson.

   Is a very nice tasting room with very good accompaniments. Unfortunately, the weather was very cold and the ally was very windy, but overall great experience. We will be back later in the spring and summer.

    Small and personable outdoor tasting. Wines were delicious and paired well with a cheeseboard. Just an FYI due to Covid the cheeseboard came in a box which didn’t bother me because it was yummy and we didn’t get the usual wine education/history that usually takes place with tastings. A pamphlet with great explanations of the wines was given. Great local spot that I will be visiting again soon.

    Super cute spot that is perfect for a quick weekend date or a group of friends. The servers were all very attentive and knowledgeable without making anyone feel dumb (which can sometimes happen at wine spots). The cheese plate was delicious. I will definitely be back!

    Our host was really helpful and tried to make the best of the outdoor seating situation. He made sure that my family and I were taken care of and covered from the sun. This place was not what I expected but definitely won me over. Would come back!!

    The wines here are fabulous and the staff knowledgeable, cordial and professional. If you like good wines, you MUST check this out! Great variety and fair prices. I went when a pop up caterer was there so food has several options but I believe regularly they have one offering - a chorizo and cheese platter - which I have not ordered. The care and concern they have with producing great wines likely applies to their food as well.

    This was our first venture into safely distance dining on site since SIP. We enjoyed sipping wine safely distanced. We tasted 10 wines, especially enjoyed the roses on a warm day and enjoyed the charcuterie plate--a smokey chorizo, 3 cheeses, and some compote style fruits. Everything paired well with tasting (well except the Chardonnay and the bleu, but sometimes Chardonnays and me don't pair well together anyway. We had a relaxing time and enjoyed picking up 6 bottles. Great service, great vibe, great wine.

    We tasted a flight, didn't actually eat food but Open Table required a rating on food. We didn't know anything about this winery before tasting and showed up on a whim, so had no idea what to expect. The wine was surprisingly good and interesting, great service, sweet little patio. Fun to discover!

    Prima Materia is a lovely little oasis off of Telegraph Ave. Drinking their delicious wine on our first outing in the Covid era was a treat.
