Ray's on the River
Great food, great location. Service was excellent.
It was my wife’s b day and as always Nick and his team did a amazing job with our large party.
Always a good ‘go to’ restaurant
The food wasn't as good as I remembered or anticipated, but it is still one of my favorite Atlanta places.
Excellent service and food! Will be back!
We were celebrating Father's Day a few days late because our daughter and son-in-law were on their
Honeymoon. Rays did a great job. The food was excellent. The servers were very attentive but not
overbearing. Great Job guys.
So I had the best experience at Ray’s by far! KK and Nich (the wait staff) are so down to earth, funny, and make the dining experience so enjoyable like you are hanging out with good friends. Even the manager came up and asked how we were doing! Pair that with wonderful food, drinks, and a view of the river; and it makes for a perfect experience!
Very poor service. 6 pm reservation and food order was not taken until 6:33. Overpriced. Food was not good. Not my first visit but will never go there again.
Always an amazing dining experience at Rays. Brought my out of town guest here for dinner and they throughly enjoyed themselves.
Jeremy, our waiter, was the best waiter we have ever had! And we eat out a lot! He was attentive, informative, friendly, and just superb! Our food was fabulous and absolutely delicious. We had a phenomenal afternoon.
Wow I was looking for rooftop restaurants. Oddly I wasn’t able to find too many. I have never been to this restaurant but sure didn’t seem like it was on the river......
Great food, great server, always an enjoyable experience.
What an absolute nightmare!! The place has rundown chairs so the upscale atmosphere is missing. Our waiter never came to check on our order which was wrong. When the manager randomly stopped by and asked how our meal was we let him know the order was wrong but no one checked on us so it was half eaten because we could not wait around forever. The managers fix was to bring the steak topping after half of the steak was gone and a free desert. Bringing a steak topping when half of it is eaten is almost a slap in the face. Your Steak could have been amazing, but you had to settle for an overpriced steak you could have had at longhorn! Will never be back!
Beautiful location; great ambiance; wonderful service. Prices would be very reasonable for the locale except the food is only so-so. Not bad. Not great. We had higher expectations for this venue. Still, a very nice evening out. Beautiful garden to wander through after dinner. Great views of the river.
Out server Kay was fabulous!!!!!
Always excellent service and good. Service is attentive, but doesn’t rush you. Food was excellent and was adjusted to fit our special needs and requests.
The food, service, and view were all excellent. However, the live music left a lot to be desired.
This is my girlfriends and I second time at Ray’s on the River and we just love it! The service was great just like we expected. It was our birthday and I thought I put it when I made the reservation but didn’t. However, they were still nice about it and made us feel special nonetheless by giving us special complimentary dessert and champagne. We’ll be back before the year is out. The food is so good!
Food and service were excellent.
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Ray’s. The service was excellent as well as friendly. The food and drinks met all of our expectations. My only regret is that I didn’t request a table by the window facing the river. We could see it from our table but the views closer were beautiful.
Trusted restaurant for a special occasion or just anything! Ray’s on The River continues to raise the bar!
Mac and cheese, way overpriced! Good service, very loud.
A delicious upscale date night!!!
This restaurant is a nice place for an occasion where conversation is important. The atmosphere, service, and food quality are all pleasant and are provided within a spacious and well kept facility. The location on the river bank is also a very nice scenic touch. Staff are attentive and eager to please.
Father’s Day. We took my husband 3 kids and in-law out to celebrate the wonderful dad in our life.
So disappointed in the menu. Copper River Salmonn was advertised, but only saw pictures one item and it was covered with crab and a sauce. I felt it the seafood platter was overpriced with tasteless spinach and almost raw salmon (2 oz.), scallops (2) and very small lobster tail. Only the 3 shrimp were edible.
The entire experience was phenomenal !! The food was outstanding and for what you were getting it was decently priced. The waiters were nice friendly and good personalities.
Service and staff were amazing, the food was alright. Pappadeaux food is better.
Father’s Day brunch.
It is ok. The food was ok and I like the view and the jazz music. The cost was expensive for a buffet. Service was good.
We went for Father’s Day and the brunch buffet was horrible. Slowly refilled. Most of the desserts looked and tasted like they came from some wholesale grocery store. The pastries were old. The shrimp and grits were extremely salty. The attendants at the carving stations were rude and unprofessional. We used to go to Rays on the River for several special occasions, but we won’t be coming back. It is mediocre and overpriced, and the service is terrible.
My family and I went on Father’s Day and enjoyed the brunch. The food, service and scenery was great!
I took my husband here last Sunday (6/16/19) for Father's Day Brunch at 1:30 p.m. I expected it to be crowded and it was. Jazz band was playing where the food was displayed and you couldn't hear the music from where our table was in the other room. But, the most disappointing thing of all, was that, by the time we got up to get food from the buffet, they were completely out of prime rib and leg of lamb! Some of the other dishes were also almost gone. I couldn't wait to get there to have prime rib and it was gone! The chef at the carving station didn't give me an answer when I asked about bringing out more! The dessert table was lacking as well. And since it was Father's Day, that gave them the right to increase the buffet price. I was pretty much totally disappointed in the whole experience. Probably won't be back for a very long time.
Music combo was too loud given the number of customers present who were rather loud also--did not need to have customers competing to be heard over the loudness of the combo. Food was okay, but certainly not outstanding. Even though it was Father's Day, did not see anything outstanding or additional to justify the additional price over that of regular Sunday brunch. Seating area was too crowded. Members of my party could not easily get from the table to go back to buffet line--had to wait until all members on the side of the table were ready to get up and leave. Hostesses and wait staff were very pleasant and accommodating.
Not great. We were there for Father's day brunch so that may have been our mistake. We had a decent table but I couldn't help but notice they opened up the adjacent banquet area for seating so some patrons had quite a trek. The buffet area was entirely too small to accommodate with any comfort or grace the large amount of guests. Most of the food was gone seconds after being refreshed so there was very little available once you waited in a very long line. As a result people were taking huge amounts due to scarcity. Buffets are not ideal but can be done in a way that makes things less primal. There were just too many people and too little food in a very small area leading to embarrassing congestion. The congestion continued when it came to parking. We waited 20+ minutes to get our car from the valets who were working very hard. In the restaurants bid to maximize revenues that day they surely lost future customers.
Fathers Day brunch celebration for my husband and son. Our server Ryan was excellent, knowledgeable about the food events and my grandsons loved him😊
Everything was fine, but it seemed that the restaurant was not ready for the Father's Day crowd. Service was slow (as it related to replacing food on the buffet).
The Fathers Day brunch was amazing!
Father’s Day brunch was excellent! Hats off!!!!
