   I ordered a side salad, a bowl of lettuce arrived with dressing, that is not a salad and not worth £5!!!! My husband ordered fish pie, nice but no prawns as stated and served with cabbage not very inspiring

   Lovely setting for a nice lunch out. Very much enjoyed the chicken club sandwich with fries, a very good amount of food for a reasonable price. Waiting staff were all friendly and helpful. Will be coming back to try the evening set menu very soon!

   We had a party of 14 including dogs just after work and I was able to pre-order a mix of starters and sharing plates before we arrived so service was super speedy when we all sat down. Delicious and large portions! The pub staff were also friendly and clearly like dogs! I really recommend this place for all sizes of groups.

   The young girl (21) that served us was so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. I’m sorry I can’t remember your name. You were lovely with my little nephew and our little Black and Tan jack russell. The service was friendly, & prompt, the food lovely, and the setting lovely for a walk. Thank you

   Food was decent for my girlfriend and dad but my chicken roast was inedible. Dry chicken. Roast potatoes were inedible.

   We had a large party of people for a leaving lunch. It was very straightforward to book the large group, all staff were friendly during the process. On the day, we were able to enjoy a drink outside before seating ourselves at the table but there was no rush. The food came in good time, the courses were well paced and the food was great. The group was able to have a great time for the afternoon without needing to talk over others. A really great afternoon!

   Food was nice but service very poor. Very understaffed in restaurant so took a while to order, slow with drinks. Food was excellent however the waitress never returned to clear table & we had to ask for the bill which only came after a long wait. We were not asked if wanted anything else at all. Sadly may not return.

   I booked a Mother’s Day meal for my wife and mother-in-law. The restaurant asked us to pre-order a three-course meal before arriving. We’d originally booked an outdoor table but asked to move inside due to strong winds. Despite plenty of space indoors, they refused to change our table. We waited 25 minutes before anyone took our drinks order, and another 50 minutes before our starters arrived — even though we’d pre-ordered. Overall, the experience was disappointing. I’ve been here several times and usually had a great time, but I won’t return after this. The only positive was the waitress, who was very apologetic. The maître d’, however, was rude. I wasn’t expecting five-star service — it’s just a pub — but today was unacceptable.

    Poor service, didn't have any cutlery. Had to go ask for it while kids waiting to eat. Food and drinks took a long time to come. Service charge added to our bill without consent.
