Let's just say this place needs more help...our drinks were served incorrectly..wrong wine...every time it came we asked if it was correct...later learned it was Rose not Zinfandel...hour and and half to get entrées COLD.
manager made aware of issue...still charged full price for wine...don't waste your hard earned $$
The food was good but my Pork Mignon was over cooked to Medium Well or beyond when I ordered medium.
The patrons dress like it’s just a bar so the atmosphere is not the fine dining experience one might expect from an historic inn.
Friendly service, very good food and happy to make substitutions for a gluten free meal. Generous wine pours. Will go again 👍
I really love that this place is dog friendly! The staff are great!
The staff was lovely, the food was good and the overall setting is just terrific. Very romantic and quaint. Gorgeous building set by the river and canal. My only complaint (and the reason the Overall is not 5 stars) was where we were seated. We were upstairs in a room with no ambiance or other diners. We will be back and I will specify a desired table next time. :)
Great food and wine. Service was excellent.
First time here and I will certainly be back. Beautiful place, great food, great service!
The Riegelsville in never disappoints. Brunch on the balcony, canal-side happy hour, a celebratory dinner, whatever the occasion, this place is always the right choice.
The menu presents enough options to make it hard to choose. But not too many to be overwhelming. There is no wrong answer on their menu.
There are lots of old, stone, roadside inns in this area. Some of them are even along the river. But, The Riegelsville Inn has an atmosphere like none other. Comfortable for casual folks on a leisurely road trip and welcoming for families or friends celebrating a milestone, there is something for everyone.
Great Service, food was very good, staff was gracious. Our waitress was very attentive and engaging. She said it was her first day but you would not have known. It was the perfect place for lunch.
Food was amazing as usual. Service was very good. Was said to find out that are favorite bartender was no longer there! Beths famous Bloody Mary is not the same! What a shame.
Loved it! We sat in the bar. It’s a bit noisy but there are other rooms that offer quiet. Dinner and drinks were outstanding.
Overall we had a good time. Sat on the balcony which was nice! Food overall was good..orange cheesecake was not very good. Waitress was OK. Had an anniversary and would of been nice to do something for them..Overall we had a nice evening!
We come here quite a bit and this is the first time we have ever had any issues with service. There was a Wedding going on (Looked Amazing) and we didn't get a Drink Order. After 30 minutes, I went inside and had to ask to get our server.
Otherwise we absolutely LOVE this place.
Worth the Drive, Food's awesome and on the weekends there's live music.
Food was excellent. My wife and I both commented it was the best meal we have had in a while.
Decided on Riegelsville Inn as a casual dinner for our anniversary. Hadn’t been there in many years. We arrived early for our reservation, however the staff was very accommodating and were able to seat us right away. Our server was very nice, and did an adequate job, but took some time to initially approach us, then never introduced herself.
The outside seating, which we reserved, was in a fine location, but the seating was rather uncomfortable and unstable.
The food and wine was very good, the service adequate. The ambiance from a style and especially from a comfort level, could use improvement. Overall the experience was good.
I don’t understand your noise level question. Is it supposed to show how loud it was or how nice it was. Suggest rewording the question.
Despite empty inside seating, we were put in a small back room near the kitchen (with a constantly screaming chef).
Service was spotty due to the fact that the staff was paying more attention to a full porch and patio.
Pub grub and wanabe gourmet mix on the menu were a puzzle. Who are they trying to serve?
Fried fish over soggy "handcut" fries used to absorb the fat from the fried fish were a joke.
This was our first visit. We had a party of 4 for lunch on a Friday afternoon at 1 and we sat upstairs outside on the open deck which gave us a beautiful view of the river. We had a nice breeze plus they also had ceiling fans. The service & food were excellent. No complaints from any of us. We will definitely return again.
The food and atmosphere was top notch. Food was plentiful and delicious. The pork was cooked to perfection. The salad was innovative incorporating peaches and burrata. Amazing
Walked right in and were seated on the front porch immediately. Service was done professionally and with a smile! We ordered salads and they were delicious! But honestly I’d have tried one of everything-I loved so many of the menu options! There’s nothing like the charm of waterfront dining and this romantic spot on the river is tough to beat. I’ll be heading back many times this season!
Great date night haven’t been in a while will be back!
This is our go-to place for Sunday brunch. Killer Virgin Marys, delicious oysters, wonderful Eggs Benedict.
Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Seemed to be a lot of locals. Would definitely go again.
First time experience - was very good. Rivertown Burger was excellent. Sweet potato fries, however, could have been hotter. Seemed like they’d been sitting a bit. Salmon was reported as being very good as well. Nice pours on the wine. My chair on the first floor outdoor “deck” (which is smack on the edge of the roadway but has a nice view of the river and bridge) started to break. It wasn’t me 😀. Had to replace. The building is bit worn, and the bathrooms and stairs to them, need a good cleaning and updating. When busy, parking seems tough to find even though they have nice sized lots. They are filled with large chunk loose gravel - they could be helped with paving and striping. Servers were very nice and prompt. It’s not cheap, but would definitely go back, yet would love to see them pay more attention to their physical plant.
New help still learning. Reserved table not available. Appetizer not delivered and partner’s order was partially wrong. Staff apologized by removing drink charges.
1.5 hour delayed for food. Everyone in my party complained. Orders got mixed up, dressing on the side not on the side. Soup served with no soup. Ketchup didn’t arrive. Took forever to get anything. It’s unfortunate Mother’s Day get together, took away the joy from the experience.
One of our favorite places, really enjoyed the balcony overlooking the river and bridge, our first time back since before the Pandemic has kept us from dining out.
Thanks to all who are responsible for getting the vaccine out there!
Please get vaccinated for the good of all at your earliest opportunity!
I always enjoy my time at the Riegelsville Inn. The staff and the food are top quality
Not so good. The deviled eggs had way too much vinegar and my burger was well done instead of medium rare
Mothers Day dinner tiny and expensive. I left hungry.
Excellent food! Service could have better. It was somewhat slow, and bus boys need to be more attentive in clearing the table.
Went here to celebrate Mother’s Day and my mother’s birthday. Service was initially a little slow. We were sat upstairs in a room by ourselves. The Inn is old and has some nice rooms for seating. This room was a little shabby. However, the food was very good. Highly recommend the 112 salad and the salmon dinner. Wine was ok. I do think charging $39 for an $11 bottle of wine is excessive though. Overall a good meal but quite expensive for what you get.
Great experience all the way around for our family - each one of us has very different food and dining preferences, and everyone enjoyed themselves.
The food was fabulous and the service was friendly and at the right pace. Also loved the special cocktails. Will definitely go back
The ambiance was top notch and the food was absolutely incredible. Very kind and energetic server. We can’t wait to go back!!!
Had 2pm reservation for 6 people. They were completely unprepared for us. Took 45 minutes to seat us. Single server was overwhelmed. Insult to injury was owner/manager planting flowers in front of us instead of helping his staff provide basic services. Sorry I talked 4 guests to join us.
The food and service at this hidden gem along the Delaware River is fantastic!
The food was excellent and the restaurant was charming! That was our first, but certainly not our last, visit!
Some of the food was brought out cold, took a very long time to get our drinks, and the portions were not enough compared to the price.
