The new look Riverside Restaurant & Bar is located on the ground floor of Hilton Belfast in the heart of Belfast. Every day in Riverside begins with the famous Hilton Buffet Breakfast offering a wide range of international and local breakfast favourites.     We called in before going to the waterfront had a beautiful meal in a very relaxed atmosphere. Staff were very pleasant and efficient. Will definitely go back

    Disproportionate amount of veg dishes on the menu, and therefore too little choice of others. Expensive. Expected more from hilton..

    Service was dreadful. Lost booking , then waiter brought one drink, walking off with the other one. He came back a few minutes later with the other drink. Service slow and almost impossible to get anyone's attention. Had planned on dessert but took so long to get someone's attention we didn't have time. Food okay but overpriced for the quality. Altogether a disappointing meal.

    Generally nice but drinks service very slow. 30 minutes for 2 soft drinks to arrive by which time food had been served and half eaten before drinks arrived. Clean though and friendly staff. Not blown away by the food.

    Service has deteriorated and yet they've now added a Service Charge to bill! Used to be our preferred choice, for years, when attending the Waterfront - will give one more chance and, if still poor, won't be back.

    Most shocking service ever experienced from the bar and the restaurant, understaffed and nobody has a clue where anything is. Waited 20 minutes to be seated and drink order taken, looking around and the restaurant was quiet and nobody was getting service. After ordering drinks/food another 20 min later to be told there is no bottles of Sauvignon blanc wine and the other bottle they sent was wrong too. After 40+ minutes we decided to leave and get a taxi to a nearby restaurant. We told the manager of our experience before we left and he agreed that there is an internal problem going on with staff. Pity as the hotel itself is lovely but we won’t be back

    I enjoyed my meal but my friend's meal was not good and had to be sent back. The chef apologised and a second version was provided which was fine. The service was very slow but the staff were very nice.

    Very limited menu. Nothing left by the time we went down at 8pm so I had to have chicken which was clearly reheated. It was dry and like rubber. The service was appalling. Forgot to give me chips and then slammed them down when giving them eventually. Never asked us if we wanted anything or another drink etc. we couldn’t get attention for the bill so ended up getting up and paying at the bar. Very very disappointing quality and service by the Hilton!!

    Unfortunately the night we ate here the staff seemed a bit thin on the ground and didn't wholly seem to be able to cope. They were very nice and also apologetic but it wasn't a great experience - especially as it's quite expensive. We've eaten here before when staying at the hotel and it was ok, and the breakfast service was great...so maybe we just experienced a bad night...It would have been nice if we had been offered a drink or coffee on the house but there didn't even seem to be anyone with authority who could have offered that. We will give it another go on our next trip, but I'm afraid I can't recommend the Restaurant, but the No.4 Bar was fine.

    Waited 45 minutes for food which was barely warm when it arrived. Only explanation they were busy. All tables around us had same problem Most were going onto show at Waterfront so time was an issue. Seemed more concerned with serving customers who were in bar than people like us who had booked our table in advance.

    The service was poor. Waited 35 minutes for our food and had to ask for it. Similar story with other tables. Plates left on table and not asked re coffee etc. Food was lovely.

    Food arrived before drinks. Dirty plates not collected no one came near table. Has to go find someone to pay bill. Service charge added only 2 people and we received no service.

    Ladder of beef although small was delicious as were the puddings but the steak was very tuff and even hard to cut and at £34 that is not good enough

    Service and ambience are good but overall let down by the food quality. I was not that hungry so just went for a starter - it was something akin to an Iceland product!!!, not a 4* hotel in the Hilton brand Others in the party thought food lacked flavour/taste and presentation, could and should have been better. The fluorescent wasabi sauce was just a horrible colour and far too much of it. Not impressed and really disappointed. Have been before with a friend who is a regular and it was much better.

    Not worth the price. You'd think for around £50 a person they could season their food better. No salt on fries, steak overdone and not seasoned, same with the sauce with it. Disappointing food, however the drinks and the service from staff was excellent which is a shame.

    Good ambiance and pleasant surroundings. Over 1/2 hour wait for meal as staff said they were busy, as one kitchen was servicing 3 outlets - restaurant & bar & room service. We got some complementary garlic bread as starter. Steak & wine were both delicious. Onion rings overdone. If you are booking a meal before a show, allow yourselves plenty of time to take account of delays getting served. Other than that, pleasant night out.

    The restaurant itself is Beautiful, but our dinner experience was not great. We had to ask for our food and our drinks , nothing seemed to be followed up on orders. My kids starters came with our mains. Management seemed more interested in clearing tables rather than asking the tables eating if they needed anything. Restaurant is lovely for breakfast and the service is excellent.
