My wife & I love Macaroni Grill. The food is consistently great. They are doing a great job despite being in a very difficult period of the Chinavirus lockdown & restrictions. I applaud the workers, wait staff & management for their efforts. The only thing to add is we can’t wait to be through this terrible man made crisis & have life return to normal!
Great food & service!
The meal started off fine and the waitress was very friendly, but then it quickly changed. She didn’t return for a longer-than-usual amount of time and when she did, she brought us two bowls of COLD soup. We asked to have it warmed up and she took the bowls back, and still brought back lukewarm bowls at best. There was no regular tea - only green tea. Then, we noticed the waitress’s attitude change. She did not speak much after that.

So the food was okay and we have eaten here before . I am not sure if it was COVID related but the service could have been a lot better . We said we wanted to buy drinks and our server said she’d come back and take them andddd she just never came back. Once she sat our food down we never saw her again . So the the single glass of water we got did not last long and we had to ask another staff member for our bill, and she was clearly mad we asked her . Food was fine , service was not . We were not checked on, didn’t get the bill in a reasonable time , and never got drinks beyond one glass , so aside from being thirsty all night the visit was okay
Enjoying eating at a macaroni grill while traveling. Service was struggling and extremely slow.
We sat outdoors, so it was noisy from I-81 nearby, but we liked it better than sitting inside.
The Restaurant now limits Indoor Capacity to 55 people due to COVID-19 which is fine. Even with this lower number Service is Extremely Extremely Slow. Food is Excellent and Delicious.
We preordered our food 30 minutes prior to arrival due to our autistic child. Not only wasn’t our order ready but it took 40 minutes to get our order after we arrived. Staff was unsympathetic.
Establishment followed current social distancing protocalls. Had an enjoyable long lunch.
Delicious food, great service
The “create your own pasta bowl” was good. However, I was disappointed in the small serving of vegetables included. The asparagus was cut up so tiny that you hardly knew it was there. I could say the same for the fresh mushrooms. I wish you would not skimp on the veggies. Cut back on the pasta if you have too but PLEASE spare my healthy vegetables!
We had wonderful service and a truly amazing dinner. Thank you!

Celebrating a good doctor visit
Made reservations. Upon arrival, was told it would be at least 50 minutes to get seated. Was told staff was short. The restaurant was nearly empty with maybe 15 patrons at 3 tables. Left.
Food was cold and the place was empty. Server talked to us WHILE WE WERE EATING for a good 20 minutes....very inappropriate
The food was pretty good. Service was a bit slow, especially considering the limited number of people dining-in. It seemed like the priority was on the to-go orders. Drinks were a bit overpriced for the quality.

The food was delicious. The server was great. We found it peculiar that everyone who just "walked in" at 6 on a Saturday was diverted to the bar, which was jammed, but 15 to 20 open, clean tables & booths went to waste.
Reservation was made for the Valentines pre fix special advertised. When we got there we were told it was not being offered bc the mgr removed it from the menu bc the offered appetizers were out of stock. Restaurant is in desperate need of refurbishing...all the seats at every table were filthy, cracked/ripped and stuffing coming out of them. Food was so-so. Will definitely not be recommending this restaurant nor will be returning.
Seated promptly. Sever came promptly and took our drink order. Water came in 5 minutes and our drinks 10 minutes after that. The server was nice and knowledgeable. Took our food order. The bowl of soup came in 5 minutes and the dinners came 30 minutes after that. The steak and potatoes were very good. The chicken Marsala was lukewarm and tasted so-so (too much garlic and needed more Marsala). The ambience was nice except for the worn out ripped seat cushion beside me. Needs salt and pepper on the tables.
Most Italian restaurants serve parm cheese with the olive oil for the bread. Overall it wasn’t a bad experience, but I most likely won’t be back anytime soon. It was standard fair.
This was Valentine’s Day and the music was so loud and thumping. I asked the woman at the desk if she could change it to something more conducive to the holiday, maybe Frank Sinatra or at least something soft and romantic and she said had no control over the music. We weren’t the only ones who found it annoying.

First the waitress was rude tried snatching the menu out my hand before I was done looking at it then kept rushing us, why there was only bout give ppl there eating. Husband ordered salmon it was completely raw! I lost my appetite. The tables were filthy and seats in horrible condition. My food the Alfredo was horrible. This place needs shut down! None of the food looks anything like the commercial
Started off with a reservation through Open Table for 7:30 pm. That went fine.
We arrived at the restaurant and were greeted by three hostesses who did not know which way was up. Between arguing between themselves, over talking each other and completely failing to listen to us tell them we had reservations, when we did point out my name on their screen they told me there were people before us and we would have to wait another 10-15 minutes... in the meantime find a place to sit??!!
The bar was packed, there was no place to wait and I think because of no other reason than being in the way we were whisked back to a table near the kitchen. It was great to hear the cooks yelling at each other, yelling at wait staff their orders were ready and pot, pans and dishes clanging around. We told the waitress this was once again unacceptable. We were then told there were no other tables available. There were 4 booths and at least 2 different tables open.
After some determined discussion we were seated at a booth. We saw out waitress no more than 6 times over the evening. We have no idea what here name was, but clearly they run short staffed and this poor woman was exhausted.
For an Italian restaurant one would expect fresh pasta. Don’t. In my opinion everything was reheated from a frozen state. The food is mediocre at best, and that is being kind.
I have never been treated so rudely, so poorly and with such low service standards. I’m not sure where the manager was last night, but the were certainly not managing the operations. There was not even anyone at the hostess podium to acknowledge patrons as they were leaving.
We had travelled all day and were hungry, tired and did not know our way around town otherwise we would have pulled the plug and gone elsewhere. Save your money and frustration. I’ve had better service at fast food outlets.
Waited about 10 minutes to get a server. Chris waited only us and said she only stopped because she noticed we had been waiting for some time. Meals were lukewarm. Which I did let Chris know about. Worst experience I’ve had there. I will not be going back.
We were a group of 15 and reserved a table weeks in advance. We were suppose to get the room seperate of the main dining area. Didn't happen. Couldn't socialize with our group together. Too noisy. They just jammed a couple tables together in the middle of the noise. We won't be doing that again at this restaurant.

No bread available...how can a restaurant known for their bread have none available on a weekend????
Our reservation was for a Saturday night at 830pm. The restaurant appeared to nearly empty, and there was nobody in the waiting area. It took ten minutes to be shown to a table, and then we didn’t see our server for another 20 minutes. After being seated for an hour, we had only been given our waters and bread. When our salads arrived, they appeared very wilted and only consisted of lettuce and tomato. Our entrees weren’t impressive either, because they’d looked as if they were under a heat lamp for quite some time. The empty tables that had previously been occupied by customers were left with dirty linens and dishes prior to our arrival and looked the same when we left. There was food all over the floor to include almost a whole loaf of bread. When paying our bill, the server didn’t return for another 15 minutes. I’m not the type of customer to complain about dining experiences, but this was an extreme case. We were at the restaurant for two hours and couldn’t even flag down our server for refills on our drinks. The service was slow and inattentive - especially considering how few customers were present. The cleanliness was nonexistent. The food was simply not good, and I’m the kind of person that eats everything. Perhaps that explains why so few people were dining there on a Saturday evening. We won’t be returning.
I scheduled a holiday meal for my office staff of ten (10) on a Saturday night and it took 1 hour for the restaurant staff to establish which waitress would serve our group and an hour and 15 minutes to receive beverage service.
Wait staff seemed overwhelmed and poorly trained.
Spacing of the tables and tight confines would not permit the waitress to access everyone in the group, causing her to reach across guests and their plates of food.
Food preparation was very average.
The Manager, who I’m told is new to the restaurant, did try to make amends by comping our group with some beverages and two appetizers, but the experience was poor overall
The waitress was slow. long time to get drinks. Food was cold. had to be sent back twice. there were four of us. two separate checks. She had them all screwed up. We told her about it, they came back still not right. The dining experience was terrable. we will not go back.
We have used open table several times to book reservations and get great results. Our party came in for our reservation at Romano's Macaroni Grill and initially were told 20-25 minutes. I said I had an open table reservation and we were seated right away.
We enjoy eating there and find that the food and service is always very good.
First time I went was in December and service was terrible. Given food and no utensils. Had to get our own drinks directly from the bar tender because we never saw the waitress again after the food was brought out. Second trip was a few days ago. Again service was horrible. Had to chase after our drinks twice because we were forgotten about. One person ordered a salad and it didn’t come until the rest of the meal actually came out. Some of the food was cold. Don’t think we will be returning.
