The food was excellent as usual. Had a great night. Particular favourites were the sea bass , veal escalope , fillet steak and swordfish.
Amazing food, friendly atmosphere and service. Great value for money. Honestly one of the nicest meals out I've had in a long time
Will be going back
Food is really good, very well seasoned and tasty.
A truly and authentic Italian food.
The place is also cozy.
Waiter was nice and attentive.
The only downside is that is a bit pricey for what it is, and charging a part £5 for carrots and potatoes....
The dishes are tasty but if you can refer chicken will come only the chicken with anything as side dish, wish in my opinion is not ethic for a restaurant.
You buy a plate not the ingredients.
Was not a great dining experience. Nobody to greet us when we arrived. We seated ourselves at the bar and were then handed a menu's but not told what was happening with our table. We were then seated and we ordered. Nobody poured the wine or water, which is fine, but a little odd for a waitress or waiter not to do this initially. Our food came in good time, but was very bland and tasteless. My husband had prawn starter, but no water bowl was offered and he had to try peel them with a knife and fork. I had a salad, the tomatoes were not ripe, the mozzarella had a fizzy aftertaste and had hardly any dressing. I didn't finish it. I had the aubergine pasta, which had no more than 6 little pieces of aubergine in it and mostly just pasta in tomato sauce. Don't think we will visit again. They were very busy, so perhaps just a bad night to go (day after valentines day).
An excellent menu of choice and food was well prepared and served
Pre-booked our table about a week ago, I was really surpirsed that on Valentines evening the place wasn't heaving but that didn't detract from anything. Service was good (we've been a few times and you have to accept the "italian" approach to service. Food, as ever, really good (fritto misto was fab) and, must be good as there was italians on the next door table to us. Defo go again.
Great food and attentive service. Would go again and recommend.
This was our second visit to this restaurant, excellent food, attentive staff, very good service, i would highly recommend a visit, to this little gem in Chobham.
Great place nice people excellent food
Food was lovely very authentic great service but it could do with soft background music
Very comfortable atmosphere, delightful staff, attentive considerate and fun.
Food absolutely delicious and more than plentiful.
Thought the mains were a little small, glad we ordered starters. Food was delicious, service polite, would go back.
Great food great atmosphere love it there can thoroughly recommend book a table here. Great place to eat , drink and have fun .🥳🥳
Great food at very reasonable prices. Unfortunately sat near entrance door on a very cold evening. But that did not detract from enjoying the food.
Almost empty restaurant which puzzled us as the food was good and the staff charming!
A lovely meal that is great value with the Tastecard. Proper fresh seafood cooked to perfection and a delicious mixed platter for starters. Welcoming friendly service.
Excellent little restaurant!
Beginning with the ambiance - Saturday lunchtime was quiet and all the better for it!
The starters we ordered we excellent - the Arancini was surprisingly large (think pool ball) and delicious. The Brushetta was deceivingly simple but the freshness of the tomatoes took the dish to another level.
For mains, the real standouts were the vegetarian dishes: the eggplant parmigiana (a special's starter that we asked to have as a main) and the vegetarian pizza were excellent. All the dishes were simply made with fresh ingredients.
The real highlight of the meal was dessert - the restaurant had a few specific desserts which were made in house. We ordered the house made Tiramisu and Panna Cotta. The Tiramisu was exceptional - I don't think I can eat a normal Tiramisu again!
Great food and service! Fabulous pizzas. Would thoroughly recommend.
Fantastic restaurant with a wonderful feel to it. Welcoming, comfortable with outstanding service. The food is amazing. Our new favourite place to eat.
Excellent welcome, lovely surroundings and just great food. Thoroughly recommend this place.
The food was bland, almost no seasoning at all. The waiters and the owner were staring at us with some forced scary smile making us not welcomed at all.
The food and ambience were really nice. I had nothing to complain about at all!
We've been here a number of times in the past and have always been greeted and served by the same person. This time, we were dealt with by someone else who we found to be less helpful, a little rude and impatient. The process when ordering was quite painful, to the point I would have left if we hadn't already ordered drinks. It's a real shame as we've enjoyed it here so much in the past and come with friends and family to celebrate but based on this occasion, we are not sure we'll come back
Had a most wonderful time staff were excellent and very welcoming. The food was of the highest quality and can’t wait to go back again!
The restaurant is a throw back to the 1970's! The only good feature was that it's child friendly but we went to celebrate a birthday in what we thought was a high end restaurant. It's not! I guess it's a case of mistaken identity but we weren't the only ones. It was part filled with a large family with 5 noisy kids & adult diners looking for a good Italan meal in pleasant surroundings. The decor is appalling. & the food really basic & old fashioned. Won't be going there again!
Food excellent, service very good, just felt a little rushed but would recommend and return
I went there with my friends. Got fresh muscles. It was absolutely amazing.
Really friendly service and food served in good time. We went as a group of four. All of us enjoyed the food. My only criticism was that most of the food seemed to come smothered with a tomato sauce. The monkfish I ordered was rather dominated by this sauce as were the mussels. Sometimes particularly fish works well just grilled- perhaps serve the sauce on the side.
Very friendly service. This restaurant provides delicious food served and made by authentic Italians.
Fantastic Italian food, based around Sicily. Wine was very good.
We’ve been to Rosso Mazara a few times since it opened. The last time we had an excellent meal, great service and a good atmosphere. Maybe things have changed since we were last there but although the food was still good the overall atmosphere of the place seems to have changed. We were seated at the far end of the restaurant which is basically right next to the fire exit. It’s not a really nice place to have a meal. If you get seated there, ask to be moved. The other place not to be seated is right in the entrance hall of the restaurant, no doubt you will be interrupted by people coming and going, leaving the door open etc. Again, not a really nice place to enjoy your meal. I also feel that the presentation of the menu needs to be updated, it just looks cheap.
As I said earlier, the food was good, as was the wine and the service. Just need to improve on the atmosphere/ ambience.
Would we go back soon, probably not, at least until we hear that things have changed.
This is such a good restaurant. I am sad to see it is not well used at lunchtime. The food and service are excellent.
The other restaurants in Chobham seem busy during the day, I wish more people would give this a midweek visit.
Nice restaurant, good service but unfortunately the food was just bland. Expensive for what it is!!
Awesome food and friendly staff.
Great food, really great Italian food. Well worth a visit.
An excellent family restuarant offering good food and service
I would recommend this restaurant without hesitation. We dropped in as visitors from Yorkshire and had a lovely meal and a really nice chat with the waiter and owner. If you’re a cyclist, the waiter loves to chat about the history of the sport. The food was great, hot and decent sized portions. We came away feeling like we’d had good value for money and our custom was appreciated. Recommended. Three of us had starter, main and drinks for just over £70.
Food was good, not outstanding though. Slight mix up with the order. But swiftly rectified.
If the menu says "spicy" then it should have had at least a little bit of spice. Normally if the owner or manager tries the food regularly, then there is always room for improvement. Very close to being good. But, still good value for money.
I plan to come back, but at this point of time, not quite ready to "shout from the rooftop"
Excellent food and service. A warm welcome from Diago (the patron). If you have a birthday to celebrate, do go there on a Saturday night where the waiter has a gift for getting the whole restaurant singing Happy Birthday and creating a festive ambiance.
Nice food and very good service. My partner asked for more sauce with her pasta and this was quickly brought. Combination of food and service was good value. Would recommend this restaurant.
