The food and service is always very good.
We had a wonderful dinner for our first visit. The service was great- our waiter made several excellent suggestions that were super tasty! The octopus appetizer and campfire cookies were very good, and we would definitely order those again. They have a great menu with a lot of selection and the meal was well paced.
I had such high hopes for the food. I totally understand the service issues-it was very slow and inattentive, but I get that it’s a struggle right now so that really didn’t bother me at all. It was more so the food, I was just sort of waiting for it to pop with flavor or be amazing and it just didn’t happen for me. The steak wasn’t cooked well and was sliced in thick chunks so it really wasn’t tender, the chicken sandwich was flavorless and dry as was the brisket, the ranch dressing just simply lacked any type of flavor at all and the french fries were limp and oily without any crisp at all. Drinks were definitely lackluster.
Excellent food in a friendly atmosphere.
This is the second time I have eaten here. We enjoyed the outdoor patio, however the restaurant was very busy and I don't think some of the food was on point.
Excellent food. But service, while very friendly, was quite slow. If they solve that it will be a five star experience.
Best cornbread ever! Great brisket and the chocolate chip cookies are outstanding!
Our food -- tuna tartar, salmon salad, and pulled pork -- was quite delicious and attractively served. I liked the spattered-looking dishware. We got there early (5:30 PM) and sat inside because it was very hot outside.
As others have noted, it's very noisy, but we were early enough that the noise was tolerable. As we were leaving, though, it eas definitely noisier. Our waiter explained that they had attached fabric pads -- they felt like a cross between felt and cork -- to the bottoms of the tables to cut down on noise. According to him, it was helping a lot, which was a surprise to us. The smaller dining room is carpeted.
Nevertheless, the food and the service were both excellent and we will definitely return.
Fortunately we’d made reservations for the patio so the noise level was more normal. Inside was an awful din. I’d would go back if I had to sit inside. I hear there’s a plan to baffle the noise.
The food was great. Our choices ranged from grilled octopus to salmon, shrimp and hanger steak. All were top notch. Sides were scarfed up fast.
Service was fine.
Price point was good.
Mosquitoes started to appear at dusk so we left before dessert, but truth be told we were already stuffed.
Looking forward to dining (outside) again.
Parking is a challenge - side streets are packed as well.
The food came out very fast - we had just barely gotten our appetizer maybe a minute before when our entrees showed up, so it would be nice if there was a little more spacing between courses. It is also very, very loud inside - they could maybe use a few more sound panels!
Otherwise, great vibes, great food, would definitely come back again and would love to check out their brunch. Super cute interior and decorations!
Delicious food. Service excellent.
The food was fantastic. Best brisket ever! And the corn bread and butter ….to die for!
Great food, personal, friendly service and pet-friendly outdoor dining continue to make Ruthie's All Day a total winner. It's the go-to place for casual business lunch or dinner with friends and out of town guests. A winner across the board!
We sat outside after a few visits inside. It was much better because it was quiet, despite every table being occupied. Inside was way too loud for us. But we love the food and service so are really happy that outside is an option, weather permitting.
We ate on the patio and it was delightful. Service is always on target and very responsive. The food is delicious and portions are generous. Sides are “classic” but not “standard”. This is a great place for bbq and smoked meats. Fish and shrimp are also outstanding. Haven’t tried desserts yet. Next time!
We ate outside on a lovely early evening. My husband’s hanger steak was one of the best he has ever eaten. My tuna tartare appetizer was delicious and they happily substituted rolls for the potato chips. And the warm campfire cookies with ice cream are fantastic! This was our second visit and we will be back!
Food was surprisingly bland.
First time at Ruthie's All Day and can't say that we'll be back. From all the positive reviews, we were excited to give it a try. Patio was spacious and welcoming. Unfortunately, service was painfully slow and most of our food came out room temperature. Even our drink orders were not handled properly. Not sure if this was a one-off, but we left very disappointed!
The food is well prepared and interesting in the combinations. This was our second visit and both visits were very good.
Awesome service, delicious food, the outdoor patio is beautiful.
Delicious food and drinks! Service was also terrific considering how busy the restaurant was. Will definitely come here for brunch again!
We have been to Ruthie’a All-Day several times with our kids. Friday night we went on a couples date night as we wanted a relaxed vibe, good food - Ruthie’s was the place. Unpretentious but really elevated plating and food! The other couple had never been but I suspect they will be back soon! I am a vegetarian and can easily enjoy the menu like the Delicada squash with hazelnuts and pomegranates - yum! My husband had the special “dinosaur bone” which was a huge piece of smoked that he will continue to enjoy today! The smoked cauliflower and Mac and cheese sides are our favorites! Consistently good! Great cocktails too! We love this place❤️
The food was very good, we all enjoyed our meal HOWEVER the dining experience overall was sub-par. It is so noisy inside that you can barely hear your table companions let alone the waiter. The waiter acknowledged the noise issue and said they would be putting carpet down next week - at least I think that is what he said (let's hope so) because I could barely hear him. Definitely worth trying but recommend sitting outside until the noise issues are resolved inside.
Everything is always delicious! We especially loved the hush puppies and the cauliflower. It can be very loud inside when it’s busy.
First time here after hearing so many good things. The food did not disappoint. Creative takes on the side items; classic fresh goodness on the meats. Airy, clean, pleasant and bright inside. Gets loud as it fills up. Will definitely be back, hope to try the patio and eat our way through more of this menu!
Very fresh ingredient and great execution. Only complaint is noise, have to try carpeted area next time.
Another nice dining experience!
Noise was VERY high. We were told that carpeting will soon be installed and that will definitely be welcome. Everything else was wonderful.
The fried chicken sandwich was great and the iced tea had a lavender flavor which was a great touch. My only complaint was the drink order seemed to take a very long time and each of us had to remind the server that we had not gotten our drinks after waiting over 7 minutes for them, which feels like a long time just to get iced tea. Outside of that, overall experience was good.
Way too noisy dining indoors.
Not a good choice for conversation with the indoor seating. Everything else was excellent, it was just VERY noisy inside at the dinner hour.
The food and service was great. We sat inside for dinner at 1st but asked to move because it was extremely loud. Outside patio was great & and less noisy. Recommend that owners invest into noise abatement indoors.
The food was extraordinary, cocktails refreshing and atmosphere easy.
The food was excellent but the concrete floors make it deafening when everyone is talking at once.
Also, the vents above our table were sweating and dripping on us! It was a hot day - but really…..
Would not recommend due to noise level.
As always the food and service were great, and as always the noise level is very high. Reservations highly recommended.
Ruthie's is definitely worth adding to your list if you live in the vicinity. It is a gem.
Delicious brisket and fried chicken. Haven't had a bad meal there yet. It is just very noisy. They need sound proofing.
We arrived around 4:30 for an early dinner, only a few tables sat, clearly the slow time. Beautiful restaurant, nice clean decor. Service was a little inexperienced in my opinion, we alerted our server to a peanut allergy and he said “we don’t use too many of those”, no peanuts on the menu so we were fairly confident going forward but his response didn’t instill any confidence.
The food was amazing! Brisket was tender, juicy and melted in my mouth, Brussels sprouts were fantastic, smoked cauliflower superb, the child loved the mac n cheese. We also got smoked wings with the white BBQ, and the deviled eggs for apps. Not a loser in the bunch. Definitely worth the trip.
It was a pleasant experience. Food was great and staff was nice.
